Hilarious to see all these ignorant folks criticizing the reliability of something they’ve never even been in, let alone owned. 63k on my ‘16 sport supercharged; only issue was the heated/ cooled seat intermittently working because of a pinched wire.
It's pretty well documented about how unreliable Land Rovers are. Why would I believe one random person in the RUclips comment section over all the stories online about this subject. Whatever man. You spent money on it, so you'll defend them to the death. I don't care what you say and you won't sway my opinion.
@@michaelp.3485 it’s also well documented that they still sell a lot of them even for their price point so the people who can afford them aren’t complaining like the poke who can’t afford them. Hmm 🤔
I think it's more about how people drive it especially off-road that causes three issues. The heated and cooled seats not working is appalling from range rover.
This thing is GORGEOUS. I honestly don’t think it competes with Cayenne, Model X, Navigator, or Escalade. This competes with X7 and can hold its own with the more up market brands… think Bentayga or Cullinan.
I was fortunate enough to be able so see and sit in one at the dealership and compare between old and new and could not believe how much of a step up this is ! It instantly makes the old one look so outdated.
If you like the full size Range Rover, there’s nothing that can compete with it and this new version is just exceedingly well designed 4x4. I think JLR will continue to sell 60-80.000 of those in a year, maybe even more.
What makes it a Range Rover is the lines on the bonnet. Those lines have been there since the first Range Rover in 1970, and further on the P38A, the L322 and so on. No matter what Range Rover you owned before, if you get in this new one you will imediately know you're in a Range Rover. Because they always brought this little design detail to newer models.
@ 6:47 I believe that it does have low range. That mountain icon button is where you engage low range. I will find it very hard to believe if LR doesn’t offer low range on a RR.
I think u mistook what Roman said Of course it has Low Range. It’s a RR. I think Roman was referring to other similar vehicles that don’t have Low Range, or much off road ability. The are SUV RR has a proper AWD set up and true off road ability etc. Clearly, 23” tyres will limit its capability off road, so get different wheels & tyres if u want to maximise its off road capability.
Previous SVA had the 575hp supercharged motor, it hauls and sounds beautiful. Any air ride rover is an amazing drive… I don’t think the bmw motor will be any more/less reliable or cost effective to repair, but let’s be honest, one doesn’t own these things with that in mind…
The SV should come with the deployable side steps.. I didn’t see it in the video. I suppose it’s deactivated. Can’t wait for my order to come in.. thanks for the review..
I really like that skinny-mini Range Rover. If only all cars could be so light and svelte. Joking aside, it looks great. It’s strikes a great balance between luxury and minimal design. Roman, I enjoy watching you review these kinds of cars because I can easily see you driving them. :)
At 16:45 you pass my friend's stepdad! Hope you enjoyed Sonoma County! We desperately needed that rain! Also fyi it's pronounced Healdsburg as in a leg that heals.
While it is the original “luxury suv”, I’d be far more impressed if Range Rovers came with a minimum - 10yr, 150,000 mile bumper to bumper and powertrain warranty! (It’ll never happen, but that’s what the market would like to see) Imagine if they did, a second hand Range Rover would keep its value, far better than they currently do! (Because it would still be fully operational) Our ranch still uses a 1980 Datsun 720 4x4, and I’d love to see Land Rover go back to the utilitarian market. Cheap, dependable (as much as a Land Rover can be) rugged and long-lasting!
I think the new RR Sport is due to be unveiled in a few days/weeks. It will be interesting to see what design cues from the RR will go onto the RRS...and later the RR Discovery.
Very nice…. The competition he mentioned is not competition. This is top of the line. However, the 4 seat is nit functional at all. Definitely would need the 3rd role ideally…. Unless I had a more family oriented SUV like the Escalade etc. Wondering when the Sport is expected to be released??
@@grahamstefaan Up until Covid and the chip/new car shortage, the Bentayga and new Aston Martins did fall like a stone in value. But what do you expect from rather mass produced 150 to 200k vehicles other than they lose 35k a year for the first three years if not 50k in the first year. These cars are for people that do not care, either because they are buying to keep long term or because this amount of money is chicken feed to them.
Nobody is cross-shopping a Range Rover with a Cayenne or Navigator. Cayenne is a competitor to the Range Rover Sport, Navigator likely only gets cross-shopped with a QX or an Escalade.
Great video as always…but sorry did you just get into the off white back seat of that brand new 200k Range Rover with dirty sneakers and no floor mats on a rainy day? 🤔
Beautiful like always 👍 I am mad on you because vehicle like this and you reviewing on muddy spot and after you walk around you get into the car with your muddy shoes unbelievable 😱😱😱

Same here...my first thought seeing that gorgeous vehicle in mud...whitish carpeting as well...yikes!!!
RIGHT, SERIOUSLY!!!! And this is one of those RARE videos where it is focused on the car and not their face 95% of the time.

would u recommend 23in wheels or smaller for ride comfort

Now when Mercedes-Benz used to offer the G65 with the V12 engine 😞 that price was also in the 200k range too but sadly it’s gone
Yep. Those are going for $300-400K...USED!🤯 New G63s are marked up to $250K.
He forgot to mention my favorite part of this vehicle...the rear wheels also steer when turning. Thing can turn on a dime
i have a question: Dose that mean that the turning radius on the lwb is good
im asking because my countrie has really narrow roads with sharp turns so turning radius is very important
