The VM saves files onto the host and it is pretty risky and really depends on the virus. I've never seen it before but the virus might be able to bridge across networks shared by the host and VM
Some people need to go in their bios and allow vm i think its mainly an asus just google your motherboard followed by vm like me it was (asus tuf gaming b550 plus enable vm)

After 7 hours or so, I became fed up and convinced something was wrong, but I solved it by: disconnecting my internet before installing windows, which gave me the option of installing windows in a "limited mode", and then it only took a total of few minutes to complete the install. all's well that ends well
After the installation I made the screen larger as you said but, I went back to a smaller screen and lost all my top menu items. How do I get those back? Thanks

if ur on an hp turn it on then press F10 until bios opens so keep pressing it and then go to system configuration and Virtualization Technology and turn that on. Good luck!

you need hit delete on real pc as first screen pops up and change in bios

Restart ur pc and when it starts up press f10 immediately then go to securtiy tab then go to system security then enable vt-x

unless you are dealing with dark web shit, the virus will not know that it is on a VM. In other words, you'll probably be fine.
