I hope you don't give up your channel & stop narrating stories. You have the perfect voice for this. I do understand though that YT has been flooded with folks getting into the creepypasta realm & that takes away from your channel. However I have only heard about half a dozen who are actually good at it & make it worth listening to.
The only thing that I can think of at this moment is to start writing your own ongoing horror series. It seems the continuing horror series you have read from other creators has kept viewer's interest, so if you are so emboldened, maybe it's time for Dr. Creepen to make his own horror series for our listening pleasure? Just something to think about...?

I love your videos man!! 27:05 I hate hearing that your views are going down. Personally I love hearing the cryptid stories all around hunter, hunted, pov of human, befriending a cryptid, and pov of cryptid. I was paralyzed about a year ago and your longer videos really helped me in the hospital just to get out of my head for alittle while and keep me from going to a dark place so thank you.

Oh I hope you don't stop narrating! Honestly you could narrate any kind of story and I'd listen to it! You have an amazing talent and voice! Honestly, do you notice your views are down more in the spring and summer? I have a channel under another name than this one I'm posting this comment with. I also do scary story narration. I've only been at it about two years but I notice a definite down turn in the summer and spring months, then an upturn in the fall and winter months. Also, doing shorts really hurt my algorithm. Was like I had to freaking start over... Seems like you tried shorts too? Maybe the same thing happened. Anyway, love your stuff! Long time fan! Please, please, please don't stop narrating!!! 😊👍❤️
I would love to hear more of the Sci-Fi oriented stories. They don't need to be heavily sci-fi just a little bit of a Sci-Fi slant

Dr. Creepen thank you for an excellent narration as always. I really can't understand why your numbers would be dropping. You consistently deliver high quality. Keep an eye on that. I've heard of "the algorithm" catching a creator's bad day, glitching, and then tanking a channel (burrying it in the algorithms, etc) forcing creators to start a new channel.

Doc, I've been listening to you for a good number of years at this point and I always enjoy your content, I personally enjoy longer stories with more meat on the bone and especially love when you do series.
But I do understand other people enjoy shorter stories cause it's less commitment, but regardless of what you do I enjoy all your work I hope you continue doing so. As always stay well and stay great.

I have a few suggestions for ya Doc & I just wanna say your my favorite out of all the creepy / interesting story tellers on youtube. It just sucks youtube is not giving you the love / ++subs you deserve!! Anyhow
I feel like 1hr + stories are the sweet spot
1. Try resharing stories that have done well with other channels, would love to hear them with your amazing voice and story telling!
2. More collaborations, really enjoyed the one with Dark Somnium, try reaching out it might make it more enjoyable!
3. Try a different genera of stories

As for the channel, I wouldn't change anything except add a few more of the classics like Ambrise Bierce or Clark Ashton Smith.
There's a channel that I stumbled across recently called Encrypted Horror with Jasper L'estrange, which is criminally overlooked, so maybe a collaboration is in order.
Just my thoughts.
I have to say that I'm new to your channel. It's been two or three years now I think . Sometimes all I want to do is sit and listen and your stories are some of the best I've heard. There is nothing wrong with your content it's just that there is so much stuff on the net that can be accessed by a phone that it distracts people. I'm sorry to hear that viewing numbers are down, I've been listening to your channel for about 6 years now. You're hands-down my favourite horror narrator. Very few others that I've come across here have such natural and smooth delivery, it makes your videos very calming to listen to - I can even listen while I work which is rare for me.
The only thing I can recommend is to keep on with telling a range of stories and not narrow down too much.
I feel bad that there was a period where I didn't listen as regularly for a while, as it felt like most of the stories were military action-horror themed. Personally, I prefer the really weird, eerie and spooky stories and think your narration style works incredibly well for those. I would hope that as long as you cover a range of themes, although some videos might do less well themselves, overall it would keep things balanced.
Mind you, these platforms just seem to have weird rules and ways to game them that I don't really understand, so I might be completely wrong. But I hope really you won't give up!
ohhhhh....hey, you know how you do the long stories? Like, you'll do five or six Sundays for the whole story? Do they write pick your story Creepy Pasta's? Like where every week your viewers can vote on the option A or B for the next portion of the story😮? That would be so fun! But also that would probably be more work for you and you are a busy guy. U had 308k subscribers when I began listening and you’ve gained 32,000 more since then. Personally I’m overwhelmed by the amount of content and have been looking back over a lot of the older stuff. So, I don’t get to new material very quickly. Maybe others are doing the same. I think I’d just track your most visited themes and story lines and go to new content in those areas. Yr still the best at this IMHO.

Hey Doc, sorry to hear about the lag in views, popularity is such a fickle thing. I do wonder if people are finding you on other platforms besides RUclips now? I recently signed up for Chilling at your suggestion and tend to prefer using that.
I am systematically working my way through your archive and liking as I go. I’m not certain how much that effects the algorithm when someone views the older videos instead of the newer ones immediately.
Either way, another amazing read with some definite “ Torchwood” vibes to it. Love listening to your narration and it keeps me going on my research that will hopefully become my own first submission to your Reddit 😊

Well yesterday i listendd to the two hour compilation three times. The initial one i wasn't paying attention, so i tried again. Then it was the start of my shuffle when i went to bed. I hoe my premium views and the fact i download every video helps.

I just want to say thank you so much for your channel...and personally, l am sad your numbers are going down. I am hoping and prayimg it's just temporary. I introduced your channel to a couple of people back then. I am also puzzled / surprised why this is so because l strongly believe you are one of the best narrators out there.

Lord, Yes, I agree. Some dinosaur stories do not make it. I even tried one in the past. But I know Dr. creepen cannot post every bodies stories.

I really enjoyed this story and listened to it several times already. Good escapist fare. I love these secret Government, otherworldly stories! Plus Beginning At around 21:40 they said, "Photograph was taken shortly before Cronus first establishment in 1933. Ha-ha, Same time King Kong went up the empire states building in New York. 😁 Plus We love your narrations, Doctor. Please keep the stories coming. You have many fans here that love your Channel! DR. Creepen, Love your voice and channel. Please keep doing your stories. I think you're doing fine just more competition in the creepypasta market. Want some ideas? Maybe yearly do a new opening intro to keep it fresh. Would love also to see more mysterious islands-Sci-fi space stories with people stranded with a robot or something. Like Lost in space. Include cyborgs, cryptids,fem-bots. etc.
Long stories are great but mostly 30 minutes to 2 hours long tops. Unless it's a real good 3-hour story. More collaborations with great narrators such as yourself, including female narrators would be great from time to time. I hope you are still having fun doing these because many people like me enjoy your work. Thank you Dr. Creepen!❤❤

Viewership may be down not so much in being your fault but I haven't been recommended your videos in a while, I had to actively search you out again, no notifications, nothing. But I've also heard a lot of content creators I follow from different fields saying this and the theory I keep hearing is because of people developing shorter attention spans.
