"Pro" Tip: No matter how many rocks _someone_ places in a blanket with a _metaphorical_ body, if few or none of the internal organs have been punctured (to release trapped air), the body will resurface fairly quickly. Anywhere between minutes to weeks. Regardless, it will eventually come apart from the blankets and rocks, floating to the surface and/or down any connecting rivers/large streams. Hope this helps! 😊

You're right, though. Décomposition gases, first from the GI tract's microbiome as I understood, build up in the body and make it float. Though by the time a weighted body makes it back up, a lot of physical evidence can be lost. If the environment is anaerobic and cold in certain bodies saponification can happen which is much stranger but can also cause floating.
Worked a 12hr day, ate a little, took a shower….now I crawl into bed for the highlight of my day….Dr. Creepen’s stories.

This story really disgusted me on a psychological level. I grew up in chicago and i have seen all kinds of horrible things ppl do to each other throughout my life but i felt so angry listening to this to a kid cause of hate and what he just followed along with that shit just because he didnt fight his friend or nothing to stop him this is just omg
