I am in the market for this model RV so thanks for the informative videos. Your sink mod...pictures and explanation of the process might save some of us from some mistakes and do overs!
Great video. We are fans of your channel. We looked at this unit and like you guys we liked it and considered moving up from class B. However, the biggest issue Alice had with it has not been discussed on your videos yet and we are very curious on how you are handling it. We have looked at this unit several times and we see no cabinets or drawers for your cloths. You only have one cabinet in bathroom to hang shirts. But in general, it seems anyone that buys this unit has to put cloths in storage area under the bed. The storage area is great for bikes, outdoor stuff, etc. Are we missing something, or do the cloths have to go with the outdoor stuff?
That's a great question. We do fill the small wardrobe in the bathroom with clothes. We also use one of the 3 cabinets above the dinette for cloths. Extra clothing goes in bins under the bed. Hope this helps.
problem with the hinges is the particle board. scrape the crust off the top. fiill the holes with thin super glue. (may have to wipe it up if it runs, warning paper toweling will get hot and possibly burn with significant cyanocrylate. toss it under water.) it will soak into the wood fibers. leave it harden overnight. then put your screws back in. also works in real wood. also works in the carboard foamy ceiling (or whatever it is) I have in my winnebago. (for the smoke detectors) you can make the holes smaller if you must with multiple applications.
@@ricktanner9817 I've been looking at your model for awhile now and want to make sure they get right! lol Is it just me or are they really price gouging this unit now? They were around 69-79 thousand a couple years ago?
Thank you so much I've been looking at one just like yours after having several RVs over the years like you. Have you had any issues with any water leakage anywhere besides the shower? Thank you.
For the TV, we ran an extension cord from the AC plug below in the garage. For the phone charge and DC fan, we ran that from the DC outlet under the dinette, through the bathroom, and into the bedroom. It was a little tricky but worth it. A nice feature there is that you can run the fan all night and charge phones without having to have your inverter on.
@@ricktanner9817 ohh ok! Thank you…☺️. We’re picking ours up Saturday 👏. So, trying to figure out how to make it work for the phones.😌. May I ask, how long of a cord did you have to use to get from the dinette into the bedroom, and how did you feed it thru the bathroom?🤔 Drill holes??
@@lorriemelko1285 The only hole we had to drill was in the back garage area. There were existing openings through the bathroom. I believe we used 20 to 30' of cord.
Hey thanks so much for posting these vids. As a new cross trail owner, i appreciate the ideas. Can you tell me which bed headboard exactly you used that fits so well? And, just out of curiosity, what tv mount worked for your neat 2x4 setup? Thanks!
The headboard we built with 1 x 6's and brackets. I was mistaken on the TV mount. That was a 1 x 4, not a 2 x 4 that goes between the existing bed brackets. We then used a "no stud TV wall mount " from Amazon. It was $20. I was also mistaken on the cost of the sink from Lowes. It was under $200. Not $300 like I said.
Oh and how did you mount your art work to the back wall? I'm curious if folks are using 3m, or if there is some recommended hardware for these azdel wall panels
Great question. The leak came out in the bottom shower pan. That ws fortunate as it did no damage and let us know there was a leak. Also, you could occasionally hear the water pump cycle once when nothing was running.
Yes, we did. There was no support in the back (bottom) so in a short amount of time it striped the screws in the front holding it in place. We removed it completely, added support in the back and reinstalled it. After that, no problems.
you are so motivated and create simple solutions. You should work for Coachman!
Thanks, but after this video, they may be souring on me.

Glad it was helpful! We feel like the sink replacement is a must. Hopefully Coachmen takes notice and makes the change on the 2025's.

Thanks Rick.
Maybe Coachmen was watching, because my 20XG just came in and they matched the kitchen window blinds to all the other blinds.
That's awesome, glad to hear about this!
Can you share how you did the headboard modification, please? We would really like to replicate in ours. Thank yiu
We didn't actually video that modifications, but basically, you use lightweight wood and attach to the aluminum frame with bolts.
problem with the hinges is the particle board. scrape the crust off the top.
fiill the holes with thin super glue.

you can make the holes smaller if you must with multiple applications.
Thanks for the detailed fix. We will try that.
Great stuff. Would you change the front seats so that they can swivel?
Both front seats do swivel. Just wish they were leather (ish).
Honestly some people might want a little extra noise when using the bathroom, also the large fan might pull too much air in a small space.
Ha ha, this is too funny. Sherri just told me she is not replacing the bathroom fan because she wants the noise in this space. Thanks for the comment!
Send this video to Coachmen! We'll done.
Thanks so much. I do hope they find this one.
@@ricktanner9817 Well they should find it in their email inbox as I sent it to them 🤫

Likewise, please provide link on Amazon for your fans. Thanks
The ceiling fan in the bedroom or the Max Air exhaust fans?
@ricktanner9817 anything you upgrade and bought on Amazon would be great!
Can you link the amazon products for us? Like the fans. Or did you and I missed it? Thanks for the videos! Great ideas
I need to figure out how to do that.

Double sided velcro picture hangers@@EnglishLevy
What did you use to hide the bathroom fake marble tile please? Some kind of paint I think I remember you saying.
Bathtub epoxy paint that you can get from Lowes or Home Depot.
@@ricktanner9817 thanks
Which Maxxair models did you install? If you don't mind me asking.
We used the manual ones, not the one with a remote control.
How did you know there was leaking behind the shower wall ?
Great question. The leak came out in the bottom shower pan. That ws fortunate as it did no damage and let us know there was a leak. Also, you could occasionally hear the water pump cycle once when nothing was running.
Did you have to re-mount your microwave so that it sat level?
Yes, we did. There was no support in the back (bottom) so in a short amount of time it striped the screws in the front holding it in place. We removed it completely, added support in the back and reinstalled it. After that, no problems.
Mine was like that too. Just hanging from the flange. I wonder if they know it’s not supposed to be that way.
Curious how many miles are you getting on a full tank?
My range on a full tank is a little over 400 miles.
fyi - i find your videos to be informative.
Thank you.
