So you have a Samsung Galaxy TAB 1, 2, 3, or 4 and it won't charge or it won't turn on. There is a number of ways to repair / fix this issue.
solution:
. One is remove the battery power connection for 30 seconds and then plug back in.
. Check ribbon cables and make sure they are not lose.
. Check USB charging port and make sure its not broke or damaged.
. Make sure you are using the correct Samsung charger and not a fake or cloned charger.
. Does the battery look blown or bloated? if you replace battery.
Watch my video on how to fix this simple issue. Remember if you are not experienced at this type of work, you be best to take it to a repair shop.

My tablet was doing this, so I started watching this video. When I saw how complicated this was, I decided to treat it like an old video game system--I blew air into the charging hole. Like magic, it started working again!

I thought my Tab 3 broke as it didn't turn on when I was charging, so I was finding videos about how to fix Galaxy Tab 3 not turning on, and I found this video, but then I charged it with another wire and it started charging, so that means it didn't break and everything on my Tab 3 works, thanks for this video though!

But my battery isn't puffy, and I removed it and the put it back in like another video told me, it's still doing the same as the start of the video... Can I please have someone contact me and help

Thank you so much!!! I usually have this problem when i leave my tablet off for long periods of time. I didn’t replace the battery, but i did unplug the thing that connects to the battery. After that, I waited a bit, replugged it in, charged my tab, and it turned on (although it has zero battery XD).
So glad they keep the charging port on a ribbon cable.... as a side note. Good video.
Ive tried pretty much every trick there is to try get my Samsung galaxy Gt-N8000 working, at first it worked but the battery would not charge so as soon as the power cable was removed it instantly died. Battery does not look puffy/bloated at all it pretty much looks perfect, i tried the ribbon cables and still nothing. Its not the charger as ive used other proven to work chargers with no result. I wonder if its the battery but i kinda need to know its a battery fault before i go buy a new one as i dont have money to waste if the new battery doesn't work.

Hi, Great Video & very helpful. My tablet has turned off and will not swtich on at all, my pc doesn't recognize it. I've charged the battery externally but it won't turn on, & if I plug it into a wall charger the motherboard starts heating up on the upper right hand side of the tablet (under the power button). I've unplugged all flex cables and even changed the usb power connector cable but to no avail. I've tested the power connector on the mainboard with a voltage pen tester & no voltage passes when the tablet is being wall charged or when the battery is connected to the tablet. Is there any way to pinpoint the problem & fix the tablet?

But why this happens ? Why brand new battery after few weeks got corrupted and won't charge? Is that Firmware freaks out or battery ?

if you hold down the power, volume up button and keep tapping the middle button for approx. 5 seconds the device will show a message in red text saying 'low battery! voltage should be above 3w' it is a quick and easy way to decide whether or not you should go ahead and replave the battery
your method has actually started my device! and the battery was not low. No idea why the tablet didn't want to start the normal way

I change a new battery and it is charged very good, however the tablet needs to connect to the power adapter to turn on,and it is turn off straightaway if I disconnect the power adapter. Please advise what wrong with the tablet. Thanks.
I also replaced the internal power charging lead around 3 euros amazon they wear too easy fix .

you might need to replace the charger port. it might be damaged

My Samsung tablet 3 7.0 is taking a really long time to charge it's been 3 days and not even close to half, I had this tablet for a long time I love it. Does this mean I need new battery or what.
My tab 3 died 4 years ago, 1 year ago I replaced the battery and charging port/microphone, it worked for 2 days and once it depleted to 0% it did not charge anymore so I abandoned it, today I cleaned it off, and tried plugging it in again. After 5 minutes it started to flucker the empty battery/with a circle in the middle (like a battery loading) and then showed me the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 3" screen, kept on switching between them, after a while it got stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 3" for 5 hours, so I turned it off and left on charger. What do you suggest?

My Samsung galaxy tab 3 10.1 is randomly shutting down, in weird angles or just by chance. I have googled the problem and the most probable fix to my error is to use a bit of plastic tape. Any way you can confirm that? The battery charges just fine and when i have the charger connected it's all happy days etc. But when it's out it just randomly shuts down. Cheers

Battery connector alone didnt work. Undid the other 2 ribbon cables and also blew compressed air in USB port...something between the 3 of these made it boot up again fine. Did not need a new battery

I have Galaxy note 10.1 that showes exactly the same as yours before you change the battery but mine show that battery is charging. Hard reset doesn't work, now idea what to do with that, any suggestions please?
So let me explain what i did and if you can help me then i would be very happy. My tab 3 wouldn't charge and I thought that my battery was the problem. I bought a completely new stock one. Then I thought a factory reset would help because I've had black screens or not charging issues before. I searched a lot of tutorials for doing it on you tube and I did all the steps accordingly. My tablet restarted, on the screen appeared the "samsung galaxy tab 3" thing and from then it stays like this
continuously. I don't know what to do anymore. Help!

How do I remove the back
Have a Galaxy Tab 2 that won't charge. I get nothing on the screen at all. I removed the back and checked the battery with a volt meter. The battery has a little charge & is not pregnant. I removed the connector for 30 seconds and depressed the on off switch to dissipate the mother board. Put it back and still don't get anything on screen when trying to charge. Any ideas?

Hey my tablet won't turn on what so ever it was working Wednesday fine and then it needed charging so I put it on charge it said it was Charing the next morning (Thursday) my tablet was dead and won't turn on . Would it mean that I need a new battery? Or could it be the charger hole? (idk what you call that) that's the problem and if it is the battery and I get it replaced would all my stuff still be on my tablet or will it be wiped I need help :/

thanks, just fixed mine by disconnecting the cables and putting them back, didnt have repair kit so used my credit card and a needle haha

In my case, i press the power button it is already charged 100%,but sometimes it is fully charged but automatically shut it down.. and today,, i unplugged and try to press the power button, it is showing battery and start charging the screen showing Galaxy 3 after that SAMSUNG mark flushing.. then nothing.. no turn on.. why is it.. please help me how to fix this situation. now this TAb not working keep flushing SAMSUNG forever.....cant start screen...:(

My Galaxy tab pro 10.1 SM-T520 just will not charge nor will it get to boot screen. ive tried everything possible. hard reset etc and it stays on the 'about to charge symbol'
My Samsung galaxy 12.2 pro takes several hours to charge but won't hold the charge no more than 3 hours afterwards it gets very hot. I get a message low battery and when I plug it into the charger it say cannot charge now, battery to hot. I have taken it to to be fixed twice only when I get it back it's doing the same things. You are my last hope. I have had it about 3yrs.

Well, then how can you tell the difference between a clone in the original???
we changed my tab's charging whole few years back and now it's turning on when it is connected to the charger or it turns off when i touch it or if it is like 98% charged and i charge it, it turns to 0%
It happened with me as well but a few days after it went to normal

I spent 3 hours on chat with samsung. They know about this issue and will NOT do anything to fix it. Its from their update. They WILL fix it if you send them 250.00 HOLDING FEE plus 75.00 for repairs. Im done with SAMSUNG
Karen Gierke the power cable and battery are dirt cheap and quite easy to replace. Parts are very easy to get on ebay. Im sick to death with all the smartphone and tablet companies. I know what you mean.
