There were a few times that the tablet did an awkward thing where it would detect pen on at all times and wouldn't register finger press, but it is usually fixed by closing and opening either the screen or app. This is highly likely due to my excessive use for drawing which caused this and wasn't really very big. As I mostly enjoy using the tablet for drawing (and some light gaming), I would comment from that aspect that there is definitely more accurate pressure and drawing using a PC device and drawing tablet, however i find the moveablity of the tablet more enjoyable to draw on. Like how you can physically rotate and move a piece of paper around or even draw casually on your bed.All in all, as a tablet it is good, and as a drawing device can be good depending on what you want from a drawing device. It is definitely good enough if you just want to use it to take notes. For typing though I can't comment on the keyboard as I did not get the keyboard.
Having tried all of the button combinations several times I still couldn't get the tablet out of 'Black screen of death' - I could hear noises, volume button was audible but still nothing. Followed these instructions and removed the cover and removed/replaced cables as in video and the tablet is now back up and working. Thanks for sharing this.

Excellent tutorial. I had to disconnect the back and luckily had previously purchased a Kaisi tool kit. It makes a huge difference having the tools. Disconnecting the connectors and reconnecting them was the trick that worked to get our Samsung Tablet functioning again. Thank you so very much. 😊
Thanks! This was perfect and fixed my problem. Just one suggestion to anyone else following the hardware fix. When putting the back cover back on, start wherever it was hardest to get it off. I tried to start pressing at the top and had to take the back cover off again. The toughest are was near the home button, so I started there the second time and got it on right away.

basically i was watching a serial and when i watched it all i turned my tablet off. it showed black grey-ish screen and wasn't turning on and it did only after i turned on bixby. the sensor screen wasn't working so i had to use it with my stylus. then i tried rebooting it and now it's not turning on and nothing is helping 😕 (galaxy tab s6 lite) it was bought only 2 months ago as well upd: it turned on ;-;

@@lakshmimanjunath6365 yeah if your screen is displaying something like colours and try to touch somewhere around the screen raise volume full up to see if it's making some noise, then it tells me that your motherboard is ok, it might be just the screen.
Mine didn't work i am not even gonna lie it didn't work my tablet just has a black screen and when I switch it on it just shows a really dark Samsung logo and then it goes if again

My wife has an old Samsung S2 tablet. It had black screen and wouldn't start up. I assumed the battery was dead and didn't even show a charge when plugged in. No none of this worked. I've followed every recommendation by dozens of so called experts. None of the advice has worked so far. Most of you youtubers havn't got a clue about computer elecltronics.

You need to factory reset your device by entering recovery mode. To enter recovery mode press and hold the Volume up+Home+Power Button. You will see Samsung Logo but keep holding three buttons until you see android green thing and says installing system update. Then select Wipe data/Factory Reset. Let it do its bit and you should have a fresh install of the Android OS. Hope that helps.

I have an older 10.1 Tab A - GT-P5113TS that charges via a multipin connector and I don't have a spare. I tried all the button combinations, and had no luck, I bought a Newpower 99 replacement battery and in the process of replacing it should havereset it to boot up, but it didn't. The same exact thing is going on with an 8" SM-T237P tablet and I replace its battery, too. Nothing!! I am pretty sure I inserted the connectors properly. Is it time to toss them and return the replacement batteries?

Open the back cover and check if anything is disconnected.

Looks like the screen is cracked or has physical damage. The only option is to get a replacement screen.

If you cannot find any sign of life then I would say return the battery.
