Every mobile device needs a mid-frame like this tablet. It would make repairs almost infinitely easier.

I watched this on my 2018 Tab A 10.5 I love my tablet for everything I do. The sound quality is fantastic.

This is the same tablet model i use and happy to know how repairable it is. Samsung tablets have the right software but the lower end models are bottlenecked by the weak internals.
i have a tab A, it still works very well, other than needing to replace it after the frame started popping out making it impossible to charge. oh and it's screen protector got destroyed after i dropped it in a parking lot.
Every cracked LCD is a work of art, right?
Cheap is nice. It's what I buy for the kids. In fact, that exact one...the Tab A.
Watching this on my 2020 Tab A7, it's a great value for money with quad speakers and a metal build for £150 (open box) and much better than my Tab A 10.1 2016 I had before

I actually own a wifi model of the SM-T510 but it is called Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2019. The model you have is the cellular version which has the model number: SM-T515 ^_^ thank you for a very helpful and interesting video .
Yeah I always get Wi-Fi models instead of the cellular ones because it's cheaper, I don't normally take my devices (except my phone) out of home, and when I do, I have my phone with me so can hotspot across from a phone to the wi-fi device.
Plus, if you use a cellular connection, you need a new SIM card in each device, which means another data package, which will get pricey the more devices you use. One central cellular device and wi-fi hotspotting works wonders fr me.
Luckily it didn't get FRP locked after that factory reset!
It did though get FRP locked though... But somehow, 0000 worked to unlock it, when it wasn't even the old passcode. I think he may have flashed other things off camera before the reboot clip. You can't just easily bypass frp like that.
@@Sanrasxz Ah yes, that might be the case. I actually found an FRP bypass myself (as in: figured it out, didn't look it up) by parkour-ing around the UI a few years ago. Let's just say security on old Huawei devices sucks haha.
When you reset the device it's FRP locked. And I saw that you bypassed it.
I am also curious how he did that as I bought a Galaxy Tab S5e a while back which is locked

It's only 3 years old. But for anything tech it is "old." But since it's running the latest OS it can be used with the latest apps. Just may not have the fastest processor or 5G, of course
The Tab A series and the A series phones seems to be the repairable in the same extent with the mid frame. I wonder who the tab S would look like in the inside

Well, I managed to get first comment once. Not on a video, but on an artwork. But instead of saying "First!" I instead commented on the artwork and kept the achievement to myself.
Well, it's not a great look to spend your energy to call out and infantilze the writers of these throwaway comments, either. It comes off as needlessly condesending and self congratulatory. You know.

I actually have this device, it's okay, however gotten significantly slower after going onto one ui 2.5.
One thing i was confused by was that; wouldn't the device ask for the original owners email address(and not letting you enter your own until the old one is imputed) as the device has been reset incorrectly? Or am i missing something
Edit: it's called google FRP and you could actually see it lock(7:56) however the seller probably gave him the login to just pass it.
I guess, that's exact the reason why Hugh did the factory reset instead of the standard reset via the software.
This happened to me, and it's annoying, however, it's protecting the device from getting stolen and getting sold as useable.

I know Apple won't let you reset anything if you don't have the password.
I've repaired so many of these Tabs and its incredible how much 'bendage' they can take lmao. Love the old school tabs and how easy they are to repair, but unfortunately even older tabs are affected by google lock after a reset :( a step in the wrong direction tbh

I like my Tab A, it feels sturdier than my iPad and is a dependable machine for file copying and running Retroarch. Both tablets are great in kiddy cases.

How comes the device didnt ask you for google account after resetting it ? It asked you for a code after resetting but isnt that the same code you didnt know in the first place which caused you to reset it

U didn't show us bypassing Factory Reset Protection
What kind or 'brand name' of the adhesive you used??? I always use a T8000 and since it's a liquid, sometimes it really make the screen messed up
The biggest problem is the "unauthorized wipe" as it asks for an account password which is unskippable on some devices. I flashed my Redmi phone with a newer MIUI with a complete wipe and guess what, it asked me for a password from my google account after clicking the start arrow.
Isn't it supposed to show after the factory reset the Google account verification of the previous account logged in? It happened to me, when i bought a used Samsung phone, factory resetted it, and it wanted from me the password to the previous google account. Strange.
Mine tablet is that way but with the volume button bent inward

I have that same type but not destroyed
it's really painful to see that type of cheap poor adhesive, it's fat and pushing the display from underneath, means when you put a black picture on the screen you will notice some marks means there's pressure underneath the display so all the corners will be like that

I have a Samsung Tab A given to me by Access to Work, which an organisation that gives aids etc to disabled people to help them work here in the U.K.. Without a shadow of doubt they are appalling devices compared to my iPad Airs, even my original one. I know they only cost a fraction of the price but cheap rubbish is still rubbish. I would say "I wouldn’t have one given to me", but I did do and I’m still not impressed.
