What happens if it doesn't download as a jpeg? Is there any way to change it to jpeg or does that mean you can't download it. I tried downloading several pictures only the ones with jpeg or jpg work

Thank you, what you showed was fine. What I'd really like to know is how I then save the 'URL to the image on-line' into the relevant metadata field of the jpeg image - so I never lose track of where the screenshot came from if I need to attribute it at some future point. I realise fancy expensive software like Adobe Lightroom provides edit access to these metadata fields in jpeg images but I'm hoping there's a simpler way in MacOS to provide such edit access - and ideally to set up my Mac so this manual task is done automatically when the screenshot is captured - that doesn't require me to download fancy software.
