    I've had chemical burns from Potassium silicate, really should wear at the least some gloves and eye protection, stuff can spray up occasionally when mixing. I know you said as much when doing it, but still..

      True in this case i new the alkaline level was kinda low due to it having dissolved so much silica . No effects to my hands where noticed but you are correct not a good choice .

      Hello friend ,only WVO burns blue ,motor oil will never burn blue under any condition
