It’s one thing to be rejected for something you initiate but to have TedX and a publisher both initiate contact and ask for you to do something for them and then reject you… that’s just wrong! It’s their loss!!!
I cannot believe you got rejected from TEDx, Shane! I also volunteer for TEDx and I am doing the speaker acquisition for 3 years now and ever since I am dreaming of having you two at our TEDx event but it is in Germany/Cologne unfortunately. If you ever come to Germany I would be absolutely thrilled to have you at our TEDx event. I think you should definitely give a TED(x) Talk one day!
I was rejected from Ball State University in their program to become a teacher of hearing impaired kids. Instead, I went to Northern Illinois University and changed my major to teaching visually impaired kids. I moved to Florida, got a job right away, AND married a visually impaired man. If I'd gone to Ball State we NEVER would have met. Rejection isn't necessarily a bad thing!
You two bring me great joy. I lost my dog 4 years ago, my wife of 53 years 2 years ago, and my best friend of 50 years, last year. Can’t be sad, as I’ve had great fortune, A beautiful wife , a son, daughter, and a beautiful Granddaughter, the love of my life. So why am I telling two people I’ve met on Facebook this? Because about a year ago I started watching RUclips much more than television, real people living real lives. And I came upon yours. I look forward to every episodes and reminds me of my late wife Becky, and I and how happy we were and the great .fun we had bantering with each other. Thank you both for the hard work I know it takes to produce a glimpse of your lives and love to share with us. There is no doubt you will be wonderful parents, so get the ball rolling!😊🍷
@Scottsdale Gregg, I never read comments but for some reason read yours. Just wanted to tell you I'm so sorry for your losses, so happy for your outlook & experiences. Been blessed with great fortune (no loss) until 2yrs ago. 4 dogs passed in 1 year, 6 family members, resulting in being a mommy to 8. Birthed 1 24yrs ago, 7 more due to circumstances. Just celebrated 28yrs anniversary. If we keep your attitude & perspective we too will see 53yrs. Thank you! Needed to here your comment. Love from Arizona ❤
My high school play was just like that; we all had to say words and sing; I got the non speaking part of the blind man in Guys and Dolls and I still laugh when I think about it.
Rejection in regards to employment seems to be the story of my life. So I’m beginning my one RUclips channel on my own experiences as a person with a disability.

This is awesome. Rejection is SO difficult! And you’re brave enough to share some serious disappointments. Employment has been a tough one for me. But it brings me to realize I can learn to own my imperfections and failures. When failures affect your career it’s tough. But Shane you ARE a WRITER and a SPEAKER Please keep advocating for people in general. Thank you for letting us see your human sides❤️💕.
I can't even tell you about my Top 3 rejections. They are so depressing I don't want to be responsible for people's possible reactions. I did enjoy the video.
Ha ha at least you got to be a part that was actually a part! I was 8 trying out for Wizard of Oz for our school play. All the younger kids ALL wanted the part of Toto! My friend got it 🐶. I was gutted. However, I was offered the part of ... 🌺 A POPPY! That's not even a part!! It's a flower! WTF! Twenty years later, I was working at a group home for physically challenged individuals and they all got the good parts, of course. I was asked to play the talking tree with the apples 🌳. I played the heck out of that tree lol. By the end the play from rehearsals and 2 performances, I had a scratchy, gruff voice but I was NOT A POPPY LOL
8th grade, New school in Baltimore, old school in Georgia, originally from Texas. Needless to say Baltimore had hostile issues with my accent. I auditioned for a role in the Christmas play, A Christmas Carol. I was 13, & already 5'9". Being a tall, thin, girl, who "talked funny", I was given the role of the Ghost of Christmas Future. No lines, an extra long hooded robe that covered me completely. Even my face, so no one could tell I was a girl. I climbed a ladder to a platform, stood there, silent & covered, & pointed a droopy finger at nothing. The southern girl inme wanted to wag that droopy finger in admonition Someone off stage read my lines. With what sounded to me like an accent. Southern girl wanted to tap dance back to the ladder to get down. That was the first & last time I tried out for anything. Much to the frustration of the girls basketball coach!

You guys are amazing! Thank you for being honest about all the hard times in between of the good ones, it makes you guys so real and relatable. I've been following your channel since 2017 and shown it to so many people. They totally understand why this is my monthly serotonin. Love you guys!
The new intro animation is freaking amazing!! lol

Hi 👋 Chrissy, can I talk to you for a moment?
This is awesome. Rejection is SO difficult! And you’re brave enough to share some serious disappointments. Employment has been a tough one for me. But it brings me to realize I can learn to own my imperfections and failures. When failures affect your career it’s tough. But Shane you ARE a WRITER and a SPEAKER Please keep advocating for people in general. Thank you for letting us see your human sides❤️💕.
Awesome job last night on Ordinary Joe! Congratulations!🎊😊
Can I get an autographs from you two?PLEASE!!!😁😉
Hi 👋 Kathy, can I talk to you for a moment?
I can't even tell you about my Top 3 rejections. They are so depressing I don't want to be responsible for people's possible reactions. I did enjoy the video.
Seen y'all on tv. A speaking part. Very good guys. And Hannah you will be cooking all that
Hi 👋 Joyce, can I talk to you for a moment?
I dont even skip the ads because I like your videos so much and even ads are fun to watch! :)
I love Shane's wisdom about about rejection. You guys rock.
I love the new intro graphics! Happy New Year to you all.
“Cause I can’t dance.” They like dancing lol
Fantastic job on Ordinary Joe!! Awe, poor Hannaha, you will always be our Dorothy. ❤🌈 Shane, rejection is always a huge part or the literary world. Thank goodness you were persistent and kept moving forward. Look at you now! ❤🙏 Great video guys, safe travels, and stay well! ❤❤🙏
Hi 👋 Margaret, can I talk to you for a moment?
Refresh our memory on how you guys first met. I vaguely remember it and it would be a nice video idea too. Your perspectives might be different too! 😁
Fab stories there. Made me think about mine. Got quite a few lol! Hope you are having a great trip and can’t wait to see some of the places you visit xx
Yoooooo that Ellen story was really something. Thanks for sharing!
You should do a Ted talk about rejection. lol.

Hi 👋 Charlotte, can I talk to you for a moment?
if you feel tremors, it's not an eathquake, it's my brainpan hitting the ground.a friends old bf from college has a daughter who was just paralyzed (T5 complete?) in a log truck accident & they "voluntold" me to do a wheelie in a wheel chair
Sweetest memories for me , I 1st watched my dad do wheelies& years later my husband , I’d sit the youngest child on his lap & well it was just fun ,
Go show out !
I love y'all's new intro card so much
I agree with some of the other comments. Start preparing your TEDx talk now. You have 10 more years of life experience to use. Can't wait to see that talk.

I have Many throughout my lifetime but maybe some was God protecting me from something that would have not worked out in the long run. Will have to think about a few and post them. 🤗
