As a father myself who wants the best for his kids, it was good to hear Shane's dad's confirmation that his daughter in law's love for his son is real. Shane, you the man! You've got yourself a real gem there for a wife and I know you already know it and don't need anybody telling you that. Don't listen to the nay sayers. They are just jealous and wish they could be that successful in that area! Props to you big guy!

Wow!!! Shane's dad is quite the natural as well in front of the camera. Very comfortable and laid back with a sense of humour. Particularly with his comments regarding being the payed actor, in the classic tongue-in-cheek manner you both have adopted in regards to the many naysayers out there. I can see where Shane got his sense of humour from now. Such a down-to-earth gentleman. It feels like your two families are meant to be together, so many complimentary facets and grounded attitudes.

DUDE!! I love that, and Dad is awesome!! The hardest thing in the world, to me, is allowing our special needs kids out there in the world and have to suffer taking their knocks, just like their non disabled peers. The story of dad and Hannah really getting to know each other was really great, and it even better now seeing them laugh and smile about the whole thing, and appreciating each other and their place in Shanes life. Honestly, if you could have hand picked your son's wife, Hannah would have been the best choice, imo. Hannah gets Shanes sense of humor, and that is not easy. They have a mutual appreciation of each other that, no matter what your abilities or disabilities are, you'll need to actually LIKE each other to get though a marriage over time. I see a lot of Shanes dad in Shane, it seems they have a similar sense of humor.

5:34 One thing I’d keep track of is when you do go back to MN and if Shane’s hands start sweating again, check the fiber content of both the pants and shirt. Start comparing. My suspicion is that when it’s colder, you may be wearing more polyester (or maybe another synthetic fiber) and that doesn’t breathe at all.

Such a fan of you both! I love when you bring your family members on, always so entertaining! I know you’re not in your own home but I feel like one of the framed pictures behind you needs to be discussed. It looks like a bunny sitting at a desk, writing something, almost in a school setting. It’s closer to Shane’s side. I can’t stop looking at it and wondering what it’s meaning might be. Would love to hear your thoughts on this 😂. I feel like this is could be a fun junkyard mayhem topic!

Note to Shane's mama..., I am FREAKING in love with your husband! lol Even though I have read all of the books from father and son, and even though I have watched EVERY episode of Squirmy and Grubs and all of the Junkyard Mayhem episodes, I never comment. So, I will get it all out at once..., I can't even fathom the karma, serendipity, etc. that brought all of you together from such a distance. The two separate sets of parents are gifted in child rearing, despite Jon's doubts at times. Hannah and Shane, I think so highly of you both and enjoy being allowed to be such an intimate part of your lives, despite being a total stranger. Every time Andrew is on one of the episodes or just being spoken about, I just want to tell him how much I enjoy his loving (and fun) interactions with his bro. Andrew, you rock! Then there is Hannah's shy dad whom we don't really see, but would like to (hint) and Hannah's mom..., do we admire and adore her? Well, yeahhhh... What a lovely woman you are and what a loving parent you are. I have to say, you rock too! I was a close personal friend of the famous mouth artist, Robert Thome, and his wife Kathy, until his passing in 2020, so I asked all the lame questions of them that people ask of the two of you. They gave me a great education and I can identify when people ask the same inane, invasive questions of the two of you. You have both taught me even more. Thanks so much. Okay, I am done behaving like a stalker, lol, and just really wanted to say that you all, every one of you has brought enjoyment, knowledge, and warmth to my life and I appreciate you all. P.S. Shane, you are hilarious and Hannah, you certainly have your hilarious moments as well. Big smile from me. Oh, and P.S.S., Hannah, maybe in-person people might have been able to notice your mascara catastrophe, but as hard as I tried, I couldn't see it on my computer screen. You are safe.

Love Shane's dad! I knew his parents had to be funny, smart and incredible people to have raised Shane to be the great man he is.
