I agree 1000% percent with you. It's not about "woke" however people want to define it, it's about bad writing, bad characters, and many other bad decisions. Look at the last DND movie - they showed a perfect interspecies relationship. Same type of progressive examples happen in other movies and properties and people don't care if the writing is good. They don't care and it doesn't become a culture war issue. As for Disney today, f 'em. Awful, awful stuff, awful plots, off ideas, awful execution. Go out of business, I could not care less.
💯 They have been screwing up for years now and they have really dug themselves a hole. It’s getting to the point that even if they did stop with the woke BS it would take awhile for people to consider supporting them again. I don’t know anyone who wants to risk their kid being exposed to these extreme ideologies.
Personally, I gave up on them for the most part around the time of the Little Mermaid 🧜♀️, it was the final straw after what they’ve done with Marvel. 😢 You said it well, it needs to be about making great stories and characters and not about how many “minorities” they can represent on screen or how woke they can make content.
