  • It has been two years since China announced its sweeping blueprint for a new world order amid rising geopolitical tensions rise and evolving conflicts. In recent months, Beijing has been ramping up efforts to promote its Global Security Initiative, a system that could rival Western frameworks and at the same time, put China at the heart of international issues. CNA's East Asia Tonight dives deep into the impact of China's proposed new framework for the world.

I know this may seem like a radical idea to some but why not interview an analyst based in China for a Chinese political topic? Why choose to interview someone based in Japan? When there's some political event in Japan, will CNA interview someone in China to give his opinion on the state of affairs in Japan? I doubt it...

You are exactly right. From the American perspective, it is a Rule-based Order only when the "Rules" benefit American interests.
When Western products and companies dominate the global market and kill local businesses in Asia, this is a norm of free market competition in a "rule"-based global order. However, now that Western companies fail to outperform their Chinese counterparts, blame is swiftly placed on unfair Chinese industrial policies and subsidies. "Born an Orphan"
2024-4-21 Pregnant woman dies in airstrike in Gaza, doctors miraculously save baby girl by caesarean section.
A 30-week-pregnant woman, Sabreen Al-Sakani, was killed in an Israeli airstrike, but doctors successfully rescued her baby girl. The baby girl's sister also died in the air raid, but she expressed her wish to name her sister after Rouh, a name that means "courage." This air raid took away the baby's parents and sister Malak in one fell swoop, making Rouh an orphan at birth.
Palestinian Health Ministry officials said that the airstrike, which resulted in the death of three of the baby girl's relatives at birth, occurred in the southern city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip.
Faced with the lifeless pregnant woman, doctor Mohammed Salama was still determined to "snatch her" from the clutches of death and performed an emergency caesarean section to save the 1.4-kilogram baby girl.

But recent years, perhaps due to the rising powers, falling us national strength, n the use of us and its key allies to bend the rules, or outright change the rules in the rule. This keeps those non allies wary of this is the right way to go in the future, it is either continue a world with hegemony rule or multi polar world.

The slowdown of the Chinese economy, the strengthening of deflationary tendencies due to the bursting of the real estate bubble, the decline of the market due to people becoming more frugal, the confusion caused by Xi Jinping, the withdrawal of foreign companies, and the failure of the zero-coronavirus policy. As you can see, the Chinese economy is in turmoil due to the bankruptcies of large and small businesses and the inability of local governments.
I will explain how it differs from Japan's bubble burst.
Fortunately, Japan has a deposit insurance system, and the government provided guarantees, so there was no major social unrest.
Although some people's property was lost due to the slang term for irreparable loss, the government protected the savings of the general public and guaranteed interest rates on real estate transactions.
However, China will not become like Japan.
Why doesn't the Chinese government help individuals?
That's because they don't hold elections. One vote has no weight, so it doesn't hurt the country.
It is used for foreign lobbying activities, but not for citizens.
Insecure and resourceful Chinese could move abroad, but if those who remain don't run the country and speak out, corruption will flourish and the economy will become even more chaotic.

While rule based international order is a very good and functional since the last world war ended. The world prospers in the last few decades under the extreme dominance of US n key allies. But recent years, perhaps due to the rising powers, falling us national strength, n the use of us and its key allies to bend the rules, or outright change the rules in the rule. This keeps those non allies wary of this is the right way to go in the future, it is either continue a world with hegemony rule or multi polar world.
The rest of the world should choose what benefits them most… and that sadly will divide the world in the years if not decade to come. And west will not give up the privilege easily without a fight.

      Raising powers ? 😂 Is there any?😂
Even if there are, its just another troublemaker regionally. Nobody will support troublemaker to disrupt status quo.
