This channel consistently has some of the best cinematography on the platform. You, my friend, are an amazing filmmaker and artist to boot. You are an inspiration to me, and many others.
Why I find myself coming back every video is for little details like around 2:44 before the pacing of the video changes, the sound of the cicadas? (not sure what it was really) increased in tempo building up to the climax. Then the transition was just the icing on the cake
Beautiful gawx The train transition was so good And the colours the music Watching your videos feel like watching a multimillion dollar movie Also the way you film simplest things and make them so good make them tell a story That's beautiful
Gawx, it's honestly perplexing how you can create such amazing and inspiring videos. The editing and colour grading of the incredible videography and photography adds so much life to an already awesome video. Great work as always, Gawx!
i love how the pacing changes man to replicate what its really like, as someone who just got back from japan i think you captured the large difference between somewhere like tokyo vs kyoto
0:53 is otherworldly ! i looove kyoto, cant believe how you made these, for a large part, popular spots look so special and unique. and that train transition!!! incredible. you captured Japan amazingly.
1:45 felt like time passing by and then the old man came. Whether or not it was intentional you made me dive deeper into a experience because of you. Thank you. How do you edit your sound design? Do you record the sound on a mic and equalize it, or find sounds on (site) to uprgade the spectrum of sound reality?
The colours, The grain, the music and the editing! combine it all and you get a beautiful tasteful symphony of a video. you're work is a huge inspiration and I hope other content creators alike, will also find inspiration in your work.
When I watch videos like this I realise how beautiful life really is! We never really stop and look at how good the simple things are in life. Your videos are truly a work of art Amazing!
Absolute master class in music selection, editing, grading and just plaing videography. You have single handly made me start doing video with my X-T4 despite it not being super geared towards it. Love your work, keep it up.
Not enough words to describe this experience. The way you’ve captured the quiet, the hustle and bustle, the hidden beauty, the appreciated, the novelty, the nuances of human connection, the details of simply existing in relationship with this planet. I have no words. I can just say I know you are going places, and I feel lucky to be a part of it. Thank you for sharing the way you see our world 💙
The mix of comforting landscapes, both beautiful and melancholy, and the absolutely magnificent music make this brief moment a cinematic miracle that will remain etched in our minds forever.
This one resurfaced so much nostalgia for me. I had the great blessing of living in Japan for six years. I still miss that beautiful land and its wonderful people every single day. Thank you for this.
This made me feel peaceful. One of the most beutiful videos I've seen on the internet with gorgeous cinematography. This wasn't just a video, it was an experience.
2 different channels, and 2 different styles of filmmaking, one is active and full of movement shots, and this one is calm and has lots of steady shots. I love them both.
the shot you got from 2:30 to 2:45 transitioning from the modern/industrial setting to the natural/vibrant green setting is amazing - like someone stepping away from the mundane towards a thriving, alive new world - well done as always, love all your vids!
These videos are really making me want to travel more places, even though I know Chile as whole I still need more of this world man, it's just too beautiful to not see it
Beautiful framing and color grading. ❤Especially the Fushimi Inari shots. It’s one of my favorite places in Kyoto. I can also recommend to go there at night. It has a mysterious atmosphere. ( and not so many people). Love the combination of different citys and nature shots. The music embraces the shots wonderfully. You created another amazing piece of art ! Thank you 😊
Your eye for composition, colour, and your sound design are absolutely amazing. Everything about this is extremely well done, the composition and colour feels similar to that of Wes Anderson. I wanted to take a break from work so I didn't bring my camera with my on my trip to japan a few months ago, but this makes me wish I did. What incredible talent and fantastic work!
This is so beautiful, i wish my eyes could see the world like you capture it, it's so lively, as dramatic as life is and sometimes so delicate just like deers, i love thisss, i am going to make films like someday for sure !!!!!! You're an inspiration for people like me
ive never commented on RUclips but i love your work so much i had to put this up - the thought, patience, and feeling you put into each video is delivered so stunningly!! i love your work and i'd sit through a whole movie length of your shots for real :))
That was beautiful! Probably one of my favorites so far. I would love to become a director some day and finding this channel was probably one of the things that started making me wanting to know more about cinema, thank you so much.❤
beautiful as always. There's so much drama in your cinematography, without even a word being said. Really showcasing the beauty in the mundane in some of these scenes
Bro nice work on this. Framing is so good. Nothing quite like a smooth tripod in a handheld world. I went in October and just did a double take; we shot the same little off trail area on the hike up to the shrines in Kyoto, where the water flows from the structure behind the gate. The little gift shop behind (no one was in there when I was there). Keep up the great work!
When you teased us with your next Japan film, I was so excited. Now that I've seen it, I'm left speechless. This was incredible and seeing the choices you make, even the little ones, are such a joy. This is your most film-like video to date. Amazing!!
Just came back from a 6 week trip to Japan, went to pretty much the same places. The way you captured it all feels so real, gave me that rush of nostalgia.
I love Japan

That transition starting at 2:46 to 2:52 is one of the cleanest transitions I’ve ever seen
what a time to be alive, thank you gawx.
at 2:46 the transition with the train using your own reflection is amazing
Man, it's just gorgeous... I like how you first showed a quiet village and then a sharp and dynamic city

Best Japan vlog I’ve seen 🔥🔥 Your film said so much in just 649 seconds.
I feel like I should be paying good money to watch this.
