I was arrested with no evidence other than the word of my ex which ended up being proved in court and I was exonerated. It still cost me over $2,000 to bond out and $3,500 for my attorney not including the expenses of her somehow getting me restrained from my own house and her live in it when she didn't live there in the past 3 months until I was arrested. She walked away a proven liar and didn't get any charge. I got charged for false report for not telling the cops who my friend was which was a felony. If I wasn't able to bond then I'd have to sit in jail for who knows how long and completely innocent. When I do win my case I don't get any of my money back so how is that even close to being legal? That ain't right at all...
@Justin: Amen! There is a very limited self defense claim that can get fees awarded back to the Defendant. This has to be found by a jury. Thanks for watching!
I sure wish you were my attorney. The one that i have is very mean to me. My son and I are being falsly accused of very serious crime and i am terrified. They have just three not credible wittnesses and its really messed up. my son is my co defendant he has been locked up for a year and a half waiting for this to go to trial. I am out on bail but his bail is 500,000.00. My attorney makes me cry everytime i go to court. He calls me stupid and is very mean to me. Our rights are being violated so bad.
Don't even open your mouth to claim that there's no evidence. They will find something that looks like evidence and then add "lying to the police" to the list of charges. Simply say, "I want a lawyer."
Well to get a warrant you only need probable cause in a trial it's the prosecutors job to prove you did it with a doubt it's two different processes. And in court if there is only he said she said it's ten times easier to beat of your truly innocent a jury is normal people they think the same way we do
