Halo has been "woke" since it's inception.
Literally, most of Halo's most iconic characters fit the bill of both Bungie and 343 being "woke" so I really would appreciate it if y'all stopped being so senselessly reactionary.
Woke in the modern context didn't exist at its inception. Civil rights are not woke, even trans people having rights isn't necessarily woke.

Halo, a game series that from its inception has had women as some of the most important characters, and for which the (probably) #1 fan favorite character is a black man. How could it even be made ‘woke’ other than people just looking for excuses to bitch because 343 made it?

I personally think 343 wants to focus on making professional tournaments and balance so much without realizing the greatest thing about halo, is it versatility and sandbox which is absolutely suppressed when all you focus on is making everything perfectly balanced.

If the Chief has to change, might as well make the story about A “Spartan” the same Reach did. Every campaign custom armor, no name protagonist that the player can graft too, even if the original story was kept and “Chief” was replaced with the Spartans on the Op
At this point man, Halo Infinite was my last straw, I grew up playing Halo MCC and later Halo 5, Halo 5 I loved simply for the fact it had CONTENT but everything else i didnt like. I'm done with Halo and 343. I'll maybe play the next Halo, but it better be amazing, like how Bungie clutched up and pushed out The Final Shape, I need something as good or better than that. Other than that nah, im done.
I'll say 5 controlled well and had decent armors. Not much else.
It’s funny, Infinite has been the best halo game 343 has made, but it is also the most disappointing. 343 had all the right pieces here, but instead of building something great, they lit the foundation on fire and kept pouring gasoline on top of it. And to add insult to injury, they pulled the plug as soon as we got a glimpse of what infinite could be. I don’t plan on supporting another 343 game.

Better system for earning armor, better weapon sandbox, more consistent updates, no overpriced item shop
Other than sbmm, the monetization, and content drought, Halo Infinite is one of my top fav Halo's and I don't wanna see all of the good from it just vanish

@@LegendStormcrow In Halo (classic titles) you can interact with so many vehicles, In infinite Ive tried standing on warthogs and other vehicles- my player just rubber bands and and it looks and feels like garbage. Not trying to start a fire here but man OG Halo's interaction with the environment and vehicles beats infinite by miles, hell even 4 and 5 do aswell

Do you not know what they've worked on (amazing games like sonys spiderman, Alan wake, god of war et cetera) or are you just genuinely so blinded by hate for minorities that simply featuring a gay, female or black person in the supporting cast is enough to ruin the game for you? I don’t really care if it’s woke or not unless it’s like the Star Wars sequels. I’m fine with gays, women, etc being in media like this. What I don’t want is to make that part of their character just making them invincible. One female character in fiction that I think is good is Sarah Conner from Terminator, or Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars. They’re both really good characters. They have flaws, but that makes them interesting characters.

As a community, we need to stop digging up old news/information. Living in the past doesn't help change the future.
If we want change, it should be based on current experiences, IE Halo Infinite, Halo 5, and Halo 4. What's worked, what hasn't, what should be brought back, what should be considered to be ditched.

Halo isn’t supposed to be a live service game. I imagine it’s considered dead because of that, but also can be because the story itself is basically done.
I think halos story is far from done, with recent books coming out, new short stories, and simply new lore from the armor tabs in halo infinite, it still sounds like they're cooking smth lore-wise

It's 343. They have made flop after flop, their only real "success" was a RTS game and that only got an average rating. 343 are a calamity and *need* control of Halo torn from them, otherwise Halo will never recover and finally die entirely.

These companies just need to realize that making a good character with a real plot-line, and actual flaws to overcome, is what people crave in their storytelling. The gender then becomes a moot point. Nobody is complaining about Ripley in Alien, Alice in Resident Evil movies, Samus in Metroid, or Jyn Urso from Rogue One being female. They're just genuinely good characters that im a fan of. If I were asked if they would be better as male counterparts I would say no. The movies and games they're in dont preach at me that "yes, this is in fact, a woman being a badass", they just are. Show dont tell. Im so sick of every franchise preaching at me about daily political drama when the point is to escape all that in the first place.
Another Halo game isn't going to bring audiences back because the fire of the games is gone. The fact they are still fans of Halo but want it to be excellent again and then somes shows us all to the blueprint of how win back our love. Do you all remember the Warhammer 40K fanfic fanfilm Astartes? Who it was beloved by fans and non-fans? GW was sucking so bad that when this guy film hit RUclips it made GW fear for their lives. That's why they offered him the job which was a trap and now have enslaved him and his talent. The fact that a fan created something that breathed new life in 40K from the fans prospective is a pattern to follow. 343 destroyed our hopes with the live-action series but the anthology of Halo Legends was something to we enjoyed. I believe a fanfilm or a movie maybe what we need to reignite the passion for Halo in a big way. I have an idea I trying to speak to James Cameron, Peter Jackson and Tarantino about it. No promises on anything but this: I will never sellout to 343 or Disney.

Microsoft has so many studios that at this point, with how many second chances 343i has been given, they could simply trye handing the franchise to another studio. And if they think it's too risky to do that with a main-line game, have that studio develop a spin-off.
Halo Wars isn't a FPS and it worked. The franchise could work in many other genres and a good spin-off would give us, the community, a bone to bite on while they work on the next main-line game.
I would not say no to a XCOM-like Halo game set during the first years of the human-covenant war, for example.
or a marine/ODST tactical shooter (aka you die easily).
Give us something good to chew on while you're making the next main episode great.

@@abrahamlozano6622 It could have been good if it was its own game mode and more in depth because the released version is very bare bones. I don’t think Halo 4 or Halo 5 were bad and I even enjoyed them but some decisions were..questionable. The art style could have been way worse. Think of the AR in Fallout New Vegas and the “Assault Rifle” of Fallout 4. The art style may have changed but the core aspects of the original designs are still there. Chief still wore the mark 6, the Elites still had mandibles, and grunts still breathe methane. I quite like the reclaimer saga but you can have your opinion and that’s okay
@@NoodlesBowlB312 Halo lost its foundation ever since it introduced micro transactions during halo 5. Then came out barebone follow up game releases, as well as guess again, microtransactions. Customization of spartan armor has always been a core aspect of halo, or grinding for skulls in campaign to unlock armor, now it’s behind a paywall. Even halo reach implemented a rewarding system. Forge not being there on release despite 343 having god knows how long to develop halo is unforgivable. Custom games also was a core principal of halo not just competitive or war games whatever it is nowadays. Yet it wasn’t there till however long later, by then the fan base dissolved. Currently the Devs are lazy, releasing quick cash grabs for mediocre games. Idk how anyone can still be supportive of them developing halo games.

If you look at games with options to pick male/female or whatever. The overwhelming majority of players select a female character. Games obviously have that data, to me it makes sense why so many games in 2024 have been coming out with female mains.

The difference between reality and video games is that the respawn timer in video games is a mere handful of seconds. In reality, there are no respawn points.
Other than that, I don't like the narrative that science fiction is different from reality. The word you're looking for is 'fantasy'. Science fiction comprises of stories that can, may, and/or will happen given the technology and information available at the time they are written. Halo as a franchise was probably sabotaged because it sailed too close to the wind.

Like many have already said before, the Halo franchise needs to be given to a completely different studio at this point. Regardless if the former management has left or been fired their is clearly a very weird/toxic work culture and mindset within that studio from top to bottom. 343 has had control over this franchise for even longer than Bungie did and they have fumbled every step of the way. Time to give this franchise to a more passionate and competent studio who will focus on delivering a fun, quality product, a studio with people working there who actually respect the legacy of this franchise and it's player base.
I don't think they've fumbled EVERY step of the way, but it's definitely a large amount of those steps they've fumbled.

Halo will never die so long as the modding community is thriving. I've said many times that if all the amazing talent out there could be coordinated, the community could make the Halo games everyone's always wanted, on a comparable if not the same level of quality.

As a long time halo fan, i just want a great halo game again, a game with a phenomenal campaign, a nonstop fun multiplayer with all modes from all the games included day 1 of the launch and not put in months later, no battle passes or microtransactions like the trend every game follows nowadays, get your armor, pieces of accessories solely thru grinding the game like the old games, and most importantly a great community that is alive and thriving like how it used to be. I know a lot of people want old halo back because it was just simple and the creators made it with heart, passion and soul, not for money and trends, that's all as a fan that i want, a game that will thrive by being what it was known for and the way it used to be. Hopefully a studio can make this happen whether it is 343 or somebody else, we need a great halo game again like how bungie did it, at least one more.
343 Industries SERIOUSLY needs to drop the OG Bungie hate, and hire talent from Bungie who want to come back to Halo. Its our only hope now...

what I don't get is when 343 tried to make halo 4 and 5 into call of duty, it makes no sense considering modern cod was inspired and influenced by halo, the reason we have modern cod is halo.

That producer shouldn't be working on any form of military game or shooter in the same way I shouldn't ever be involved in a sports game. They need to reevaluate their job and go do something they actually care about.
I honestly just want to have the developers of 343 in front of me, just so I could express how horrible of a job that they’re doing. To explain in explicit detail how bad they are at their job… it is utterly frustrating to see someone get handed the answers to a test just to not use them.
Wish They would do a planet side 2 kind of game but on the Ark.
I hate to say it because I'm a huge fan of Halo since I was very little, and I think we all have, I don't think the next halo will be good, I didn't like how they did with halo infinite story I was just confused I wish the very start of the game was on reach finding the weapon and then to Ring, but they just skipped alot of it, and just so much disappointing stuff, so I don't think there gonna make a great halo if they don't have any love in it

They're allegedly remaking the original trilogy, but have fired the people who made the damn thing, and will likely add advanced movement and heavy microtransactions. It's time to move on...
I will never play Halo Infinite or the next Halo games. Till they add the Falcon, MP Helmet, UA/base security, and the Gungnir shoulders.

If they cant even complete split screen co-op when at 90% and campaign dlc for the game they hyped as the future of Halo, i have little to no hope they can even make follow up game
Right? As a consumer, the non split screen promise break doesn't make me want to put anymore money in the pockets of a company that blatantly lies. Halo 7 will be the weakest received Halo because investors will want to wait to see if it's the dumpster fire that 343 has a habit of delivering.
343 killed the player base of the juggernaut, Halo, and they killed Cortana. That's their legacy so far and I won't make excuses for them anymore.
Halo 7 is Halo Traxus. TRAXUSi is the next company making Halo for 10 years and 3 games. They will all be Hero Shooters. Halo Traxus Classic is playable today in the MCC CGB in Reach.

I’ll be honest and say I haven’t played Halo Infinite and watch the Halo TV show season two. Reason being they don’t feel like Halo that I grew up with anymore. They feel like someone’s fantasy or games and a show pandering to certain groups of people. To just get brownie points with the wider public. It’s honestly sad seeing this one amazing sci fi universe and franchise that had a great story and characters. Gets watered down for the sake of what? Trying to get brownie points for some people? To give Bungie the finger? To keep saying this is “our vision” of halo? I don’t know it’s just sad that Halo has become this and if Halo 7 comes out I’m on the fence on playing or not.

Mass Effect died because the story was pretty much over, there's no reason for a 4th game to exist.

I think the chances the next Halo game will be bad are far more likely than the chances it'll be good, but it won't be because it's 'woke.' Even as somebody who would be labeled 'anti-woke,' I'm getting sick of this whole culture war crap. Nobody even knows what the terms they're using mean anymore. You could go back to plenty of old, beloved games, Halo or otherwise, and find ways that they're 'woke,' so that argument needs to end.
Started playing halo reach recently, seeing him play the mission I played 2 hours ago in the background is pretty funny
its sad to say but im done buying halo games. i wont stop playing the MCC but infinite is dead and halo under 343 has only gone down hill. this is my personal opinion but Halo hasn't been the same in an decent way since bungie left it. the love and care it once had has been stripped away and tossed aside turned into some weird hybrid. im not saying there aren't things i didn't like about 4,5, and Infinite but with each iteration of it it lost all the good and seemed only the bad was carried to the next game. Microsoft needs to move halo to a new studio, one that will treat halo with the same care, respect and same love that it once had. till then ill be here for halo 7 to see all the content well get with it but im not buying. thank you Halo Follower for all the hard work your putting in and thank you for all the updates, even if they havnt been the best at least your still finding ways to fill out your channel.

I realy think that I'd someone at 343 or microsoft doesn't step in and reassign people so there working on things there good at the next halo will be a big disappointment and probably kill the franchise
