Wire mesh rollers are my favorites! These are the rollers of my childhood. I used to set my mommy’s hair after she’d wash and I was learning how to do/style hair. I just bought some rollers so I can get away from my gel wash and gos for a while. Bring back old school. I am here for it!
If you were doing this on dry hair (maintenance during the week following your washday), would you still use the Doux or other mousse/foam? Use 1 long duck bill clip or 2 smaller metal clips instead of the bobby pins. Easy in & out. Also, I didn't see the link for the adjustable satin bonnet.
Hey Ms.Alexia,Your hair is beautifully 💣 girrl!Luv watching your videos,I’ve been wanting to try out a roller set for quite some time now& I’m definitely going to go get some of the honey doux product and these rollers ASAP!Thank you!New sub!🙂
Can you please tell us how they are rolled. Like the middle is rolled all to the back. The sides are rolled up. Then you did some of the sides to the back like the front it gets confusing to follow the roll technique ❤️
Hi Aleia! Your hair came out beautiful! Back in the day, my mom used these rollers but she used plastic stick pins to secure them. Just a thought. I do have a question, I know you said you don’t use direct heat but do you consider your hair heat trained? I’m seriously considering becoming “straight” natural and your techniques are awesome.
Hey love, thanks for leaving a comment and great questions. I don’t use heat on my hair, my curls have been naturally trained since 2014. I would love to see your results as a straight natural!
So i went thru a rollerset phase and I’m currently just transitioning to “straight natural” in general. I can say my experience is that, rollers also train ur hair. Overtime you get better at installing them, your hair wraps tighter on the curler, and over time the style just gets more and more straight. The style gets more sleek and lasts longer. When i did this regularly i would sit under the drier (indirect heat) then flat iron (direct heat) and over time my hair would flat iron sleeker…but i saw no loss in curl pattern in my curly hair.
Who will be trying this style after watching the tutorial 🎉
I am! I love how this turned out! I will have to try that mousse too. Thank you for showing this 😊
@@naturalnormalnae of course! Thanks so much for watching 🎉

It came out beautifully. How do you maintain it at night
Great question! I use oil every other night. I put my hair in a pineapple and throw a bonnet on.
