Beautiful finish! Using foam wrap mousses has been my go-to for everything that isn’t a wash-and-go; I love how easy they are to use, and the hold is impeccable. Something to consider: if you sat under the dryer for 2 hours, plus waited to the next day to take out the rods, and your hair was STILL wet...you might have used too much product. I finally started going to a salon again in February, and she really helped me understand the why behind products, and how to use them properly; that’s when I found out I was using way too many unnecessary layers of products that weren’t really doing anything. When you think of a set, you think of performance and hold, right? If you layer too many products on top of your hair BEFORE your styler, then your styler doesn’t get to work as effectively. Keep in mind that you have conditioned your hair in the shower, which deposited conditioning agents on your hair to help attract, and seal in moisture...that’s your first layer. Then, before you put your styler on, you apply a leave-in...that’s your second layer (and even that should be minimal since you’ve technically already conditioned your hair). Directly after that SHOULD be your styler, but the more products you layer on top (especially ones that don’t provide any hold), the less your styler will work since your hair isn’t able to absorb that much product, so it will just sit on top. Further, it will take FOREVER for your hair to dry; and your beautiful sets won’t last as long. Try leaving out that middle cream that you used, and see if that helps your set dry faster.
@@vanessagebatez123 With what I know now, I would leave out the leave-in entirely, and just use mousse. Leave-in conditioner doesn’t really do anything for the hair as far as hold (for styling), and you’ve already conditioned your hair after shampooing, so putting a leave-in on is redundant. The best thing is to keep it simple: shampoo, conditioner, and one to two stylers - with hold - depending on your desired finish and style.
I always avoid flexi rods because of how uncomfortable they are to sleep with 😭 I’ve been meaning to try the horseshoe method this definitely inspired me, love the results ❤️

Absolutely beautiful! I’ve been wanting to try this technique forever but I never loved the shape of the results I’ve seen...until now. No shade of course, I just feel the shape you created is more flattering for my hair cut. The leave in has been in my shower forever too so I’ll put that back into the rotation too. I’ll be trying this next week. Thanks for the vid!
I tried this with Eden Body Works Natural Curl Defining Cream and Herbal Essence's Set Me Up Mousse (it's what I had around. 😅). It turned out great (my boyfriend even loved it 🥰) and lasted two weeks, stayed shiny, etc.!
@@abraxasthegoddess I'm not sure, heh, 😅I think it's because of the mousse, the hold was pretty good. I did something similar to Cool Calm Curly here if I remember correctly: ruclips.net/video/cI6o1xO1X1M/видео.html

I just love curly hair. I wish I could have someone show me up close this method. So serious. I'm growing my hair out long for duration of this year. I'm putting my flat iron up.
Goodness this hair is luscious and beautiful. Not even going to try this on my fine strands. And you have very dense hair also. Was fun watching though.

Good luck Sis, I couldn't make it work. Very difficult.😔

I love using the horseshoe method. Curl Daze changed up my flexi rod routine with this technique.
YES! A total Game changer ! 💕
I wish you could do my hair 😂 it came out so good but I hate messing with flexi rods
I’ve never seen the two stand into the flexi rod wrap. Ingenious!
Your tutorial is so simple and clear. Makes me feel like I could do this lol
You can !❤️
Yeah I thought that too. Very hard I've tried several times. Can't do it.
I never thought to twist the roots. I’ll have to try that as well as removing extra product.
This is definitely a good look, I don’t have those exact products at home. I’ll do my best with what I do have 🤞🏾. Thanks for posting!!
Wow! The results look so good! I haven't tried a flexi rod set in years! Your technique seems easy to follow. Thanks!

Looks beautiful, I have flexi rods and I hardy ever use them because I use them individually but I will try horseshoe method on my next wash day
This came out so cute. I love the bangs
You make this process look so easy and your hair came out great! Makes me think I can do it. I def want to try. Thank you!

Omg 😲, I am so obsessed with the results. I am ready to try this immediately. Love it😃
So beautiful! Love the volume and definition! What do you do with it at night to keep it?
my 4c hair would never cooperate for this, but this came out beautifully
beautiful!! I just wish you had shown the back of your head with a 360 degree turn. I can't wait to do my own. Thanks for the amazing demonstration.
Sooo smart using both sides 😊

How do maintain during rest of the week surely you don’t have to roll it every night
What size did you use for you flexi rods?
I used the Brittny 11/16" 6pc, Grey 10" flexi rods
I love it. ❤️❤️
Girl my eyes bout popped out my head when you said only 8 Flexi rods!!! Okay lemme keep watching lmao
J'adore ❤️❤️
❤️❤️❤️
What are you using ??? It looks like honey . What are the brands you’re using ???
How long can u keep the curls after removing the rods
They usually last about a week (at least for me) but you have to make sure you wrap your hair up at night to preserve the style.
@@kelab4599 can you explain wrap it up? Put it up in a bun or literally wrap it like you just got a silk press?
@@jasminehuey6869 maybe pineapple is the best way to wrap it with a satin scarf. If you wrap it it’ll mess up the curls.
