Ant needs space to get in the paint, which means KAT has to sit on the 3 point line. Poole would almost certainly be a restricted free agent this offseason if not for the punch. They probably offer like 4years/80mill & I doubt he'd have taken that at the time.

Given the Warriors situation they would rather keep contributors like him on an overpay than let him walk for nothing. Because its not like the Warriors can get any better talents to come their way in the FA with strapped they are with their cap situation.
I’m still VERY confident in this team as a Wolves fan. We did give up a lot, but Rudy is an amazing fit next to Ant and I really think we can beat the Nuggets with a healthy squad.

Curry was a "defensive liability" until he trained specifically for it. Defense can be taught, shooting not so much. Poole was their future. Now expect a 5 year rebuild after a next 3 years of no title.
