I do like shooting long distance scenes like concerts but if it weren't for the brick of a phone I'd already chosen the Ultras but Sony is that less weighty option. Tho I applaud Sony for it's zoom tech the if it weren't for physics it would've been a fine tech to have. Maybe if Sony could somehow fit a larger sensor in its variable zoom lens then I'll consider it. Vivo is clearly winning in this department. Good comparison and showcase.
In Winter and at Christmas and New Eve taking pictures at night is mandatory and looks the best with all those lightnings and stuff,also the Xmas tree and city decorations they all look the best at night ;)

I am buying a new phone 6/7 months from now so I have been reviewing all available flagships - from what I have seen Vivo x100 Ultra is the best specially if you're looking for a camera phone BUT you have to consider that its a china rom so if you don't mind yep, number 1 recommendation.

Samsung S 35 ultra will be best than S 25ultra, maybe. I have the S24 ultra and I'm very disappointed ☹️ and I will never buy the Samsung's flagships. All companies needs to tone down the sharpening/saturation on the HDR. I much prefer the natural looking on Sony. But, of course, beside the natural color and sharpenning, VIvo Kills Sony
Making pictures at night is the main point to me. Daylight pictures any smartphone do it at least ok, but night... is where you separete a high end to a mid range smartphone.

First off, thank you for this video showcasing the strengths and weaknesses of phones head to head. To be fair and realistic, there's no way Sony's tiny sensors (telephoto, and to a less degree the ultra wide) could compete with those on the vivo. You trade that large circular camera isle for the better performance. Until Sony releases a Pro model with a massive camera isle, it will not compete with the large sensor smartphones. Second, I wanna say this: I am no Sony Fanboy. My smartphones owned are in this order: Galaxy s glide, Xperia zr, Xperia z3 compact, oneplus one, OnePlus 3t, OnePlus 6T, Galaxy s20 fe. With those things out of the way, the vivo killed the 1VI in telephoto video and photos. Main camera, not really. The vivo is cheaper, has all the bands for tombile that 1VI has, and has the better overall camera package. The only thing for me is that I can't remember the last time I've used a telephoto camera. It just ain't on my list of priorities. And video? I've used that feature even less. What I have been craving is a really good macro camera. I was seriously considering some of the oppo phones for that reason.

Sony has npd natural colors and true to life. Also HDR is not too harsh. Also, I like it's selfie camera rotate just back to how you see using your normal camera and not flip the opposite. As for zoom, it needs to improve.

1 i don't understand the rules, please make them so that anyone can read them 2 I kinda disagree, yes vivo was more sharp, but the color science of the sony phone was in my opinion incredible better, and made evey scene beautiful, magica and enjoyable to look at in a way that Apple and Samsung dream they could get their phone to look the same, it's the results of years of expertise so it's no surprise that a recent company Oppo does have that great of a color science and balance in the camera. To prove my point in the shoot of the gass building across the road, oppo make the building a little over process in a way that makes it not look natural, but Sony balance it better making it even more shiny you could say in a way that makes it look vintage, and yes you could say you could edit the oppo pic but some things are are harder to pretend, and you could much more easily edit the sony since all you have to do is subtract (highlights, etc) with in editing is much easier and looks more natural then to add light effects. And in the orange care the sony photo is mich more appealing orage tone compared to the oppo one, furthermore and the previous picture the parking lot looks almost magical, fairy and dream like although yes you could edit it, the fact that it looks natural and yet so is very difficult or takes a lot of time and without assurance that it would look as natural as the Sony's picture, while yes having a natural and accurate picture of what is happening is great most photos we end up liking to see and save are the the ones with most charm, and Sony definitely has that without making it look oversaturated or a like cheap phone, as did Samsung and Apple respectively years before. It makes using the camera fun because you don't know what to expect but somehow you know it will look good, and yes you can predict the intent of the processing that the isp does but you don't know about how much the lighting and colors will interfere since it looks like sony is very sensitive to this little changes. Phone camera are already very natural and great at representing reality, the oppo x100 pro and ultra and the PEAK of that, but NOW every phone and camera takes the same looking pictures and yes thats great but both to companies and us who buy the phones, is boring because the cameras in phones have only had slight improvements and not BIG changes, again the x100ultra is the PEAK and the picture look great but the sony makes it fun to take pictures because they look real while being different for every other camera wich is something oppo started doing by make their pictures VERY realistic, but now other camera are almost getting there soo... WE NEED SOMETHING NEW. And Sony gave it, made photos look real and different, almost big camera like with slight style personally and their camera magic. SO Sony, that's why i PREFER SONY :)

Hi! Here watching this video, Vivo is quantity, Xperia is quality. Xperia is simply better, higher quality, more lifelike in most everything. If you love too much artificiality, a lot of AI and are chasing a long zoom, Vivo is for you, if you want a high-quality, natural and lifelike camera and macro, Xperia 1 VI is for you. This is my description, knowledge and experience at this time and it doesn't have to be suitable for others! Thank you!

I haven't tried the pixel phone yet, maybe I'll try its new 9 series, and maybe something new from the android operating system. Sony wins when it comes to autofocus. And autofocus only has a limited connection to the closest focusing distance The colors are also better on Sony. I mean green is green and with face paints 🧐.... But it's nice to see that the automatic mode has become so good at Sony, although most people probably still shoot in M, P and S mode.

Showcase mode does not work on xperia's selfie cam. Xperia's selfie just does not have autofocus.
