We have never ridden an ebike but are looking at them. We are retired and traveling full time in our RV. Wife won her battle with breast cancer last year so we are living life as full as we can for as long as we can.

I am 72 yr old, retiring, going to move into truck/van at least part-time to save $. I have been learning a lot from your channel about ebikes, & I can't wait to get on one. I don't want to go faster than 20 mph anyway. I think it would make living in a van/truck much more of an adventuring option that takes it easy on a senior's body. Plus it looks like its both useful (basket & back-rack, & retractable cord, stellar, like the fenders too!) & it looks like a lot of FUN!

My best friend and I tried eBikes for the first time about 2 months ago. We've been hooked, almost obsessed ever since. One way or the other, we plan to either purchase one and/or build one using a kit. If ever there is someone who would appreciate winning one, it's yours truly!

I just bought one for my wife. I live in Costa Mesa and their shop is 4 miles away. Stainless Steel chain and screws. No rust near the beach! They do their own painting.

This is a nice looking bike. Unlike you, I grew up at The Beach, and Cruiser bikes are what we ride! 😎
This is the style of bike that I have been looking for to make me get into the e-bike market. Good for going to the store (w/rack & basket) and general rides down The Boardwalk.
The lack of gears is somewhat concerning. as I live in a moderately hilly area. However, after being athletic all of my life, DVT's have sapped much of the stamina from my legs. Thus, pedaling is not a major part of my arsenal anymore, and it sounds like this bike has enough power to compensate.
The extra cushy seat.....perfect for those of us with vascular issues in the legs. Will DEFINITELY checkout this bike!!
THANKS Kyle, to you and Bolton e-Bikes....for ALL that you do for the e-bike community, and for those if us who are trying to get educated about the world of e-biking so that we can join in. Your videos, knowledge, and presentation are excellent!! THANKS!! kevin.

We have recently retired and are full-time rv-ing. I have tried a couple of e-bikes at local bike shops but they are above our pay grade. I have found that e-bikes are easier on my knees and I can still get the exercise benefit. We have been enjoying your videos, good source for information.

Jerry, I'm 67 and love riding. If I push myself, which I often do, the power assist brings me home. This bike is set up for the senior citizen that hasn't given up on life. I'm looking at buying a second bike, possibly this bike. It has everything a widow maker survivor would want and need on a bike. note: My cardiologist cancelled my stress test after I completed a 43 mile ride on my e-bike.

It is great that you are giving this bike away instead of receiving cash for your review. I wish the EBC would get a newbie who happens to be a senior citizen (like myself) to review. It's important because we are not young and fit like most of the people who review the bikes. If the Electric Bike Company reads this comment, I would love to receive an electric bicycle from you to review.

Great presentation of the Model C from the electricbikecompany. I have ridden ebikes on a number of occasions but haven't has yet purchased one. I bought a folding 20in fat bike for my brother. I had it for about 2 weeks before he got it. most fun I've had riding a bike. he thinks it's great too - rides it to work and around the area he lives in, just because it IS so much fun to ride.
if I win the bike I would be happy to pay you to put on a gear set, derailer, and shifter before shipping it out.
    wish me luck !

Mid $2k sounds about right. My new Rad Rover was $1500. By the time I paid Velofix, bought fenders, racks, milk crate (keepin it real, lol!), etc, I'm at about that anyway.
This looks very accessible for folks that don't want complications, and it opens up aftermarket customization or further factory upgrades.
I really think there is a market for this, particularly for older folks that want to maintain their mobility. Hell: I'd ride it and be happy with it!

I own a ‘19 Rad Rover in a somewhat hilly area and agree that gears make a difference and possibly offering that as an option may make this bike style much more appealing to people living in different regions. I really like the cruiser styling but they traditionally are single speed which is not conducive to the terrain I encounter. Thank You for such informative videos.

I have a Trek eBike I use as a hybrid (basically a mountain bike with paniers and hybrid tires). I’m just a little disappointed that the EBC configurations don’t include options for additional gears, saddles, handlebars, etc. They basically seem to have two models with some modest differences to call them four models (such as battery type/mount). I do appreciate what they’re doing here, which seems to be sort of a SONDORS approach but with a higher quality and range. Ultimately, I think most people would prefer gears. That said, I ride all sorts of bikes, from road to elliptical, because I have fun on them, and it seems this bike is all about fun.

Haven't ridden and Ebike yet, but have had several motorcycles in my time.
Really impressed on the packaging of the bike, compared to others that you have unboxed.
With regards to EBC's Model-C, like you mentioned has no gears for shifting on the inclines or hills. However, living in Florida shouldn't be a problem.
The internal / retractable cord to charge the bike; how long is the cord approximately? I checked their website and couldn't locate it.
While browsing around on EBC's website, the Models C & S were the premium bikes, Models X & Y are their standard bikes. Different components, etc. When reviewing your video about the seat, and seat post - I could not tell, if it had or has the suspension seat post (Suntour Suspension Seat Post).
As far as accessories for the bike, there seems to be quite a few items on EBC's website. If you were to buy a rear basket, I would have a problem getting on the bike unless it's a step thru or Model-S. More than likely I would build or get a trailer for the bike, going to the local grocery store or to the local fishing hole with my fishing gear.

I'm 67. The seat is something I always consider. This one is great. The handlebars are pull back and put you in a proper position that will not put a lot of pressure on your heart. The power assist is always ready to take control and bring you home after riding a little to far. (my 43 mile trip showed me that) I now smile and laugh a lot. I feel better and look forward to mu next ride. I'm not looking for my 2nd bike, just because. good luck

Yes, I have ridden an ebike before as i built one 7 years ago. I designed a battery for it 2 years later and had it built in China due to costs and availability of lithium ion. That battery is still taking me on trips to the shore and back. I also converted my wife’s Jamis to an electric bike with the same kit and my battery. Great review and an awesome bike. I will take your cue and look at that display, impressive.

I love single speed (fixie) bikes, but one of the issues I have always had with them is their gearing is often very tall. I have a Masi fixie that I lowered the gearing on which really helps. Yes, I lose some top speed and I need to spin a bit faster but it makes the bike much easier to ride. If they kept the single speed on this bike but put a lower gear ratio it would make those hills a lot easier. The rider would be able to put in more (human) power and take some of the load off the motor. There are many single speed conventional cruiser style bikes on the market and I believe this bike would appeal to the same customers wanting a super simple low maintenance bike.I love those handlebars! Excellent review, thank you.

I am doing research of purchasing my first bike. So many options - so I thank you for your honest review. The aspect I like the most is that idea that in the future you should be able to order a costume bike which they will build and ship to you VERY WELL

The alarm is the most important feature since many cities don't license them now. I'm a senior and have ridden in Santa Cruz and Bay Area CA. Would love to win this bike and pay to have it shipped immediately. Thank you for the review and outdoor test on a hill.

I am a disabled/retired person and am looking for a bike so I can begin camping again. I have been learning a lot from these videos and truly have worked hard over two years to clean out my lungs after quiting smoking and walking daily to lose over 50 lbs.!!! I am very excited to have you as a resource and have gotten my field down to having you order me a Sondor Thin or build a lightweight version of your own due to my stairs, age, and other physical disabilities too. Thanks for such honesty and variety of quality products you make and offer. A hopeful future customer and contest winner :-) tonight! Peace and happy trails to all, John

I've never rode an Ebike. I have been looking & watching lots of RUclips video's but haven't seen anything near what this is. Dang thing is perfect, it has a retractable cord to charge it with, there's no switching of gears just upping the power assistant level, the handlebars come out so you can be seated without your herniated discs in your back killing you. That front basket is perfect to harness the chihuahua in to go along for the ride with you.
This bike looks perfect for someone who's been through some serious medical problems. The seat & handlebars for the back situation, the electric help when needed to go up a hill or if angina attack is coming on, hit the electric to take you home rather than sitting on the side of the road waiting for 1 of your kids to come pick you up. I have 5 stents & have had bi-pass on my LAD aka The Widow Maker & have between 10 to 16 angina attacks daily. Been to both back & cardio PT, can't use a treadmill, bicycle is the equipment used to get the blood going. I'm currently stuck on a Walmart weslo stationary exercise bike. Sure would be great to be out in the world again rather than stuck in my bedroom slowly peddling away on this uncomfortable thing. I liked the video, subscribed to the channel. Please put me in for the running, it would be like hitting the lottery, a true life changer especially where it costs nearly 3 months of what I get to survive on.

Just to comment. What I did was to purchase a conversion kit and put a 750 watt front wheel on my 3 year old Trek Verve 3 mountain bike. The Summit kit from Hilltopper had everything needed but once I got it together I did have to make a few changes. The thumb throttle had to go because of the Shimano combination thumb gear shifters and brake handles. Found a hand throttle on Ebay that replaced the thumb throttle nicely and after going through the computer setup I managed to unlock the upper settings for the motor and now it cruises at 28mph in the 9th setting.
Only other problem is all the new wiring gives the bike that Doc Brown DeLorean look.

I have been using a city Ebike for a little over a year now. Sure, if I had my druthers I would prefer a fat, fun, bike with an off road setting to open up more than street legal power. I love fun! As it stands however in reality I have to ride what accomplishes best what I need a bike to do. I don't drive so I ride to varied job sites within about a 30 mile radius, I have to carry (depending on the work) up to 80 lbs of tools which need to be put somewhere. I also ride to the market to shop, and of course I visit friends and have even been known to park at the local pub for a beer and some dinner. That bike is an excellent choice for someone that uses an ebike as I do. I would add that you make a good point about the current lack of gears, after a year of riding I can attest that in my area one really needs to do a great deal of shifting and the first thing I would do is gear it up. Judging by their apparent enthusiasm for customization and the fact the frame is gear and cable ready I'd say it is a safe bet there will be gear options available soon.

Never an eBike, yet. Hope to try out a few, sometime. Really could use one. This one is great. It has a basket and fenders and a back carryall. Sweet! I would add reflectors and a powerful light. I have lock and new helmet. READY!

I would love this as my best choice to replace a car and commute to my job. Comfy and salt air resistant with its range means no more walking at 70 years old but wonder about shipping to the U.S. Virgin Islands costs with such a big box. Love it but the price means your new line seems like a better deal with gears. A great thoughtful company and they will do well!!! Another great review!!
