I bought a Ranger Raptor about 2 months ago, and I am so happy with my purchase. I think this TRD is sick, however the pricing is outrageous, and the power is down significantly. on top of that Ford just came out with a factory tune for the RR, so for roughly $900 you can get about an extra 50 HP and 100 lb ft of torque boost as well.. so I believe Toyota and chevy are falling behind in this Baja segment.

No bump stops on the frame, and people are blowing their shock top hats or rather top mounts. What a stupid decision by Toyota, and I look forward to them eating crow and putting them back on probably a mid cycle refresh. The truck does look good, but sitting in it. It feels like I’m lying down compared to my 4Runner. Automatic lift gates for somebody that’s ready light and not heavy is just something that’s gonna break in the future. It’s gonna be costly. Interior dash does look good, but I hate digital display for the gauges as again that’s just something that in the future, if it breaks can be very expensive to repair.

    60 Months Payment: $1260
@12.5% of take home pay you should be earning $157,500 annually to be looking at this car (assuming the appropriate taxes are coming out of your paycheck).
National average wage (US Census): $63795.
Percentage making $150k annually: approx. 8.3%
5 Year price increase Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro:
    2019 MSRP: $42,960
    2024 MSRP: $63,900
    49% increase
Wage growth 2019-2024: 1.7% (Source: US Treasury)

Get a twin turbo V6 putting out considerable more HP, actually has a backseat (the gimmicky seat absorbers are a joke...right?), and those gloss black fender flares are not going to hold up after off-roading a couple times.
