The Mike Tyson/Hulk Hogan Confrontation That No One Remembers: Arsenio Hall | FOUND AFTER 30 YEARS

- | | We discuss this on EP. 85 of Iron-On Wrestling with Gregory Iron, available for download now on iTunes or anywhere you download podcasts. | |
In a historical moment that no one discusses, Mike Tyson makes a surprise appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show, and after Hulk Hogan makes his scheduled appearance to hype his main event match with Sgt. Slaughter, Tyson and Hogan have a confrontation -- 7 years before Steve Austin & Tyson!
Bruce Prichard and Hulk Hogan have addressed this potential match in interviews in the past, but the timelines don't match up with the time of this nose-to-nose encounter. Was Tyson & Hogan going to actually happen in 1991, or did these plans get derailed because of actions by Hogan and Tyson in the summer of 1991?

Peace to Iron Mike, Hulk, and Arsenio, all three were LEGENDS in their given professions!
8:30 When he starts talking about wrestling dead kids it's heartbreaking and hilarious
Anytime I see arsenio all I can think about is Keenan Ivory Wayans and the big but impression 😂😂
Love how they used his "Nintendo" Wrestlemania theme.
As soon as Tyson hits him it's over.end of story
You're joking right? Hulk would throw n slam Tyson around like a rag doll. Hogan is over 300 lbs
. It would be the equivalent of a 10 year old boy fighting his 20 year old brother. Tyson's punch would probably make Hogan laugh
@@frankfrega1302 Just because Hogan is big doesn't mean he can take a punch from a monster like Mike. One clean punch from Mike would put Hulk to sleep.
@@H.K.5 i guess u have no understanding on why there are different weight divisions in boxing. If any boxer in the lightweight division got one clean punch on a heavyweight boxer it's lights out? You don't understand physics Hogan is 100 lbs heavier than Tyson he would just grab Tyson n it's over Tyson doesn't know how to wrestle n can't punch if he's getting crushed by hogans massive arms
@@frankfrega1302 You're seriously going to bring weight classes into this when Tyson fought at the highest weight class available? Hogan isn't a boxer, he was just a bodybuilder and entertainer. He wouldn't have lasted 5 seconds against Tyson.
@@H.K.5 ok whatever you say
''Troops are coming home an the war is over'' Damn historic quote said over n over again. But why I get a weird feeling every time he says it
I miss the arsenio hall, I used to look forward to watching that all the time ☹️
Mr.Aresnio Hall is very very underrated my friend.
How.....he was a fucking star in his prime.....Internationally known even
Mike Tyson is a real life WWE fan. He grew up watching wrestling and respects what Hulk and them do. Just like Hulk and them respect the fact that in a real fight, it would be over before it even gets started. 😂
A “real fight” involves grappling, throws, holds and takedowns; neither boxing nor wrestling fully capture both. It’s not just striking (boxing) and it’s not just grappling/throwing(wrestling).
@@GarenDJ If you had the ability of Mike Tyson none of that is necessary lol
@@kev0lad42 That is not true my man. I've had the displeasure of seeing a lot of real fights, the nasty aggression fueled ones and I have learned something from seeing them over the years... What I've learned is, there is no way of knowing who will win until it happens, until the fight is over. I have seen big guys fold little dudes like laundry; I have five foot ten men built like whippets roll the eyes up in the skull of stacked fellas fast as you can exclaim "What the hell just happened?" and everything in between.
A throw down between Tyson and Hogan in their prime would have been a site to behold, probably, but there's no way of knowing how that would have panned out, for either of them. There's one more thing I learned from watching those fights too. Don't be in a rush to get into a real fight because the consequences can stay with a fella for the rest of his life, win or lose.
@@dukenukem4447 nah bro i get what ur saying well never know yeaa yeaaa. hogan is a slow mf, tyson has too much energy for him. peek a boo tyson wouldn't let hogan get a hold of him or let hogan hit him at all. a sane person would bet all his money on tyson
@@Aerochalklate A sane man wouldn't bet.
I sure miss this America. When people had respect for each other. God bless all my fellow earthlings.
*You know it's was a great show/* *decade when it aired over 20 years* *ago and there are comments from an* *hour ago!*
Mike used to be compared to the Incredible Hulk back in the day
@C B1983 you must be a '09er. ruclips.net/video/mFQfT7Rhruc/видео.html
it's cool these young kids today weren't around then so they wouldn't know. even in the 90s and 00s during mike's manic stage he was often compared to a real life Bruce Banner due to his short fuse and tendency to erupt when he's angry. Even Howard Stern referred to him as the Hulk in 2002 during the interview Mike did with Riba Cosby
well Hulk is a actor not a real fighter, but yeah dude is huge and intimidating
No bro. Hulk Hogan is a entertainer. Mike Tyson is a boxer. 2 different roles in life here.
@@dtincworldnews8922 ~ Hogan has a boxing background man
@@flipflop4396 hulk is not a actor he a pro wrestler big difference
I'm glad all those Hulkamaniacs returned from Desert Storm
What did arsenio Hall mean at the end when he said I'm taking Mike during the Star-Spangled banner and not the first round? Could someone explain that to me?
Ah. Some of us are old enough to have seen this in real time :D
All I could think about is coming to america 😂 dudes a great actor
Hulkster the best TV marketer of all time!
