When I was 6 years old, my family and I flew from San Francisco to Nadi, Fiji on a Continental DC-10 with this livery. It was a lot of fun and began my life-long love of aviation. Good memories. Thank you, JustPlanes!
Continental's "meatball" logo was much nicer than the blue globe which replaced it. The airline should have simply re-imagined their iconic design with a refresh. Throwing out their established trademark was a waste of money. The meatball looked especially smart when it was painted black. The dark swirls matched the lettering on the fuselage, which tied the plane together. Moreover, the black against the iridescent golden tail stood out. It was visually more appeasing than the red. Sorry to see United's tulip "U" disappear during the merge as well. Like the meatball, the tulip was timeless, classic and iconic. What are theses airline executives thinking?
Hey justplanes, do you think that you guys will ever re-release some of these older tapes, maybe in a DVD collection or something? I love this type of classic footage, but most of the old justplanes videos are sold out.
I loved that color scheme and livery. Wish United/Continental would do a couple of jets with this throwback livery. Thanks for another great video!
End of an era.....
Continental, you will be missed forever.

Airline executives suck. They ruin everything fun with airlines.
