During my initial testing of the recording, everything seemed fine and there was no lag. I don't know why this recording ended up having spots of bad lag spikes, even though I wasn't having that in the game. Hopefully, this will be fixed for the next episodes, as I've turned down the graphic details and made the OBS recording software only record at 30 fps, so hopefully, the computer won't stutter for you guys! Sorry for the inconvenience.
DayZ has one of the steepest, yet most rewarding, learning curves of any game. Make peace with dying a lot in the beginning, and never get too attached to the loot you find
Not sure for PC but there is a way to strike heavy. Walk backwards to block. You want to focus on looting homes before industrial just to get basic food and clothing. Spawn towns are typically tough to find much, but just move quickly. Use rags as foot wrappings to move quietly. They aren't great insulation but you can repair them with more rags which is easy to find. Also use them for hand coverings also so if you chop meat you don't have to wash your hands. Locate well on Izurvive map and create a loot path. It is hard in the beginning, but once you are quicker with your actions you will be fast enough to get something together before moving inland. Melee weapon, clothes, and food are most important to begin with. After four or five play throughs I lasted 5 days playing a few hours a day just creating a garden and harvesting vegetables. Green houses usually have good food. Hope this helps.
Thanks a lot for the tips! I didn't know rags were able to be used like that! IDK if it's the loot-table or just my luck, but it seemed interesting that I was able to get stocked up on weapons yet couldn't find any food. Hopefully next time I play I can stop the starving lol.
DayZ takes some effort and determination to get into. It can be a hell somedays.
Chicken is a great early game food, all you need is something sharp to get the chicken and craft fire, and water to wash your hands before eating. Also find a water bottle and dump it out, then fill it at town wells - hydration is super important
You never have to starve on the chanaraus map. Nearly every home structure has atleast 2 fruit trees in the yard. The longer you are in an area... More and more fruit will spawn in.. Look on the ground near these trees for fruit. Can eat fresh or dried fruit. Stay away from rotten food. Also if you hear a chicken you can punch it with bare hands if you don't have a knife and put it in your pocket until you are ready to cut it up and cook it. Also I think you got a little bogged down with looking at clothing items while looting. It's very important to keep warm. When you are cold, you will dehydrate and starve at a much faster rate. Once you find a jacket, there is no reason to pay any attention to shirts and new spawn hoodies on the ground other than to see if there is loot inside them. Clothing items can spawn in with loot inside so checking all is important. But once you have a jacket there is no reason to consider swapping back. Also condition of clothes can drastically change how warm it is. Fighting zombie can damage or ruin the clothes you wear. Wearing ruined clothes is no different from being naked. You will get no heat benefit from ruined clothes. Very little heat from badly damage clothes. If you can stay warm, Your food and water won't drain nearly so quickly.
Keep it up 😎👍
Im 2 late to this but heres alot of dayz tips to survive
1) learn how to turn on the in game mic in dayz, not talking or not having a mic in general will cause players to not trust as "no mic people" will often have bad intention, trust me i know
2) use two rags to make hand wraps to protect your hands from getting bloody or injured when sliding down a ladder to go down faster, and use two more rags to make a face wrap to cover your mouth so you dont get sick from other players or get players sick if you are sick
3) never eat a dead player/human meat/ human fat cause over time your character will get sick and get a incurable disease that causes your character to laugh and shake uncontrollably and lets people know you are a cannibal, however people can force feed you human meat so be careful
4) be sure to travel light at times (this is just me but of course you can travel if you want to) cause carrying to much junk you dont need like unneeded clothing that takes to much space, ammo for guns you dont have or planning on wanting to find or get, being light will allow your character to have more stamina to hop over tall fence and sprint for longer and will make your character make less noise when walking, crouch, jogging, and sprinting
5) *the 3 main weapon rule" (something i made up) dont carry more then one long gun (shotgun, rifle, ECT) if you followed tip 4, this is also very important, carry one long gun ready to go like a rifle, or shotgun like double barral, pump action, have a melee like baseball bat, pipe, chopping axe, wrench on the other shoulder, and have a hand gun, (IJ 70, MLOCK 19, KOLT 1911, FX 45, CR 27,) as a backup weapon, be sure to manage your magazines for hand guns/long guns and have them refilled with bullets you find/have.
5) when you find food/drinks, dont save it for later if your bar is yellow/ red, eat as much food/drink to until you get full, (you'll get a icon thats looks like a stomach) that lets you know that your character is full and needs to stop eating/drinking or else your character will throw up, the hunger and thirst needs to be full or else your character get a cold and eating/drinking will be harder to do
6) always be careful of meeting people, sometimes cause they might not have good intention as you hope, if you remember tip 1 about "no mic people" you gotta wary of people dont talk cause its hard to tell if someone has bad intention or not and sometimes "no mic people" will get killed/executed for not having a mic, me and my friend got killed by a no mic who had a handgun and killed me and friend,
6) if you cant find a backpack, you can make one if you have two thing 1: rucksack and rope, combine the two to make the burlap courier bag which has 30 space, you can find hiking bags on zombies but be sure to not damage is badly or else it will be ruined, you can repair will duct tape or a sewing kit,
7) be sure to repair certain clothing you will have on for a long duration, cause they can damage from fighting with zombie/players, you loses insulation if a piece of clothing is from pristine to worn to damage, to badly damage to ruined, which if a piece of clothes is ruined it cant be worn ever again and cant be repaired anymore,
8) learned the defense stance is important to not take from zombies and their two attacks, when zombies are done with their two attack animation, hit them with a heavy attack to stun lock them to prevent from attacking you, you gotta time cause you cant spam heavy attack (not heavy attack cost alot of stamina to mindful of that) doing this on players will either hands or melees will sometimes work (that is if your opponent had a gun so defense stanch will not protect you) holding a gun will not active defense stanch when you are backing up to block.
Thank you for the tips! As far as traveling light...in the most recent episode I've filled up my inventory pretty good, is there any recommendations on how to store items?
@@VENOMSURGE learn on not taking items you dont needs like ammo for guns you dont have or planning on getting, so like if you are planning on getting a IJ 70, then getting ammo for that specific gun is important, being a hoarder can cause issue like being attach to them and refusing to let go, save not perishable food for later and eat food like fruit and vaggie cause those go bad pretty quickly, taking only what you needs and not what you want plays a big factor during end game,
Hoarding the ammo was partly because I don't know the rarity of spawn rates for different guns, as well as how good certain guns are. I am definitely going to have to figure out how to make some sort of stache
@@VENOMSURGE the most common guns you can find in houses are
IJ 70 (PISTOL)
BK 12 (SHOTGUN)
BK 18 (RIFLE)
BK 43 (SHOTGUN)
MK11 (PISTOL)
You can also find these guns at police station
GLOCK 91 (PISTOL)
BK 133 (PUMP ACTION SHOTGUN)
SCORPION (sub Machine gun)
Pinior (sniper rifle)
You can also find stab vest and hand cuffs which are both great.
How am I going to have an AK74 and a Blaze at the same time then? I'm in heavy armor, too.
Being overweight works, you just have to "plan" around your stamina a bit and pick good routes, this even applies to DayZ :p
Idk if you have or not but the best way to grow a channel as of right now is to post stuff on tiktok.just short vids of cool gameplay highlights and stuff that you enjoy and would love to see this channel be big someday.👍
I've setup a Twitter and Instagram, but not Tiktok. I will definitely look into that, thank you for the tip!
