This game might be a challenge to some and never touch the game again cause its too hard to understand, but thats the thing i like about this game, it isnt like any other game where they give you hints or a tutorial on how to survive or a free hand put of supplies to send on your merry way, One zombie alone is easy to handle if you know how to combat and do defense stance, which is backing up with a melee or your fist. I also notice you had a bunch of stuff you didnt really need like for guns and stuff, thats a big rule now since update 1.20 will arrive soon. I did mention the things about clothing and making sure there in good condition, this a tier list based from best to worst in condition of items Pristine Worn Damage Badly damage Ruined If clothing/item/food/tools/weapons are ruined they cant be repaired or worn again, so keep they in mind, using sewing kit/duct tape will repair clothes that arent ruined to maintain insulation, use sharpen stone to keep bladed items in good condition, and using a gun cleaning kit will repair guns cause damage gun, magazine, and bullets will cost guns to jam and be unable to fire until you unjam a gun.
Just up to watching you nearly die from starvation and I'm so glad you worked out how to start it., I normally just use a few sticks in the fire and that's it. I normally carry a few short sticks on me and some bark, so i can craft the drill to start it and 1 piece of bark for kindling and maybe 2 sticks to place in the fire to keep it going and thats it. Normally I'm lucky to find a bunch of chickens around town, you can hear them and go from there. I don't see the use in finding fruit. Remember if you kill a chicken without gloves, you'll have blood on your hands and if you eat the chicken with blood on your hands you'll get sick. So you'll need to wash you hands, at water stations you can locate on the map. Kill the chickens homie.
