I never seen a footage of the wheelbarrow ossuary and it's amazing to thing such parts of the catacombs still exists, away from the most visited ones and in a state that put you directly in the past

Used to live in Paris between mid 70s and mid 80s and was part of a group that was already "going under". The quarries and the catacombs used to be very different from what we can see today, different networks used to be interconnected (Le centre, le Sud, le 13e) and in pristine conditions, no graffiti, tags, no littering, no visitors. The place you show at the end of the video, is still in perfect conditions, it was already extremely difficult to get access to it, because it is part of the "official catacombs", managed and maintained by the administration of the city of Paris. The ossuary beneath le cimetière de Montrouge (le Viandox), and the ossuary beneath le cimetière de Montparnasse, are actually shadows of what they used to be. Your video is very good, and not sensationalistic, hats off to you.

I really enjoyed the video! Although some of the louder music was a bit much, the music you used during the Bone Well (two tracks I think) really helped the feeling of being there sink in. Great shots of the place, too. What an interesting place. Thanks for sharing your reflection at the end. I'd imagine it'd be so hard not to get a little existential seeing the remains of so many who once had dreams, loves, and stories. Hopefully they're all at peace.

first time watching one of your vids and i would love to see the long version of this with full audio!! i loved it but the voice over kept ruining my immersion lmao.
I know there is alot of bones and conservation in the tourist section, but it seems disrespectful not to move these other bones and expand that area so they can be at rest too, if only to stop explorers from crushing them to dust. Furthermore it would probably decrease the motivation for people to go down there to the dangerous areas.
Timestamp in 6:26, I watched the same place of it in other video exploration in paris catacomb, and there was this viewer who commented "when you come to that bone wall it used to not be there a long time ago. Going straight right there and then threw a small hole a bit down would lead you to the deepest levels of the cattacombs." I'm still thinking how did he know?
Yeah there’s so many hidden places like that, holes are created in walls which lead to new sections - it’s amazing what the locals uncover while exploring.
I'm not any type of doctor but doesn't plague continue within the bones if not burnt or disposed of properly and hear you are climbing through breathing these particles in even though you're wearing a mask.. it's still getting in through your eyes

Most manhole entrances are quickly opened and then closed behind but for this one it’s not possible. It’s a very real risk along with someone falling in the hole or cutting our rope. But we have ways to manage that risk 😉
