No one buys 777-8! Boeing in big trouble again. Here’s Why
Do you feel confused when an aircraft contains many new breakthroughs in aerodynamics and engines but it is not enthusiastically sought after by airlines? Well, the Boeing triple 7 dash 8 is Boeing's newest wide-body aircraft and the world's largest twin-engine aircraft in production but sales are pathetic. There was even consideration of whether the manufacturer should cancel the jet.
So what's going on? Why doesn't anyone buy the Boeing triple 7 dash 8? Let’s find out in today’s episode!
But before we start, if you haven't subscribed to our channel yet, please like, comment, and subscribe so you'll be the first to see our next videos. Now, let’s dive in!
No one buys 777-8! Boeing in big trouble again. Here’s Why. The dash 8 is a part of the triple 7X family, which is the next development in the hugely successful Boeing triple 7 series. Though it has many new features, its new engines and wings are the most noticeable. It has the GE9x, the biggest and strongest turbofan in the planet. Additionally, its new composite wing is the largest that Boeing has ever designed; in fact, it requires folding wing tips in order to fit through most airport gates. There are two different flavors available for the triple 7x: dash 8 and dash 9.
No one buys 777-8! Boeing in big trouble again. Basically, these two aircraft are almost identical. The difference is that the dash 8 has a reduced fuselage of 70.86 meters while the dash 9 is 76.72 meters. The plane can accommodate 395 passengers in a 2-class configuration. Boeing launched the dash 8 to the market with the intention of making it ready to replace the older triple 7-300 ER. The 300 ER couldn't have been more successful as it became the second best-selling wide car of all time. That's why many eyes are waiting for dash 8 to sell as well as its predecessor. It's safe to say that there is a market for a plane of this size to jump into. But reality shows that only 40 of them have been sold, accounting for only 10% of total Triple 7X sales. So why is the triple 7 dash 8 so difficult to sell?

Would someone who loves aviation and has the money, Pleeeze rescue Boeing before the company crashes and burns ( literally). I'm heartbroken at what is happening to this once grand enterprise. 😢

the 777x book been opened for nearly 11 years and only made 481 orders..... in the same period A350 had 854 orders..... that's disastrous for Boeing especially Emirates made up over 40% of the type....

So climate changes willl make it harder to make AirBus plains with the same speck, right. unless there is different physics in Europe...??

The worst experience I ever had flying was in a B777. 12 hours in a sardine can with Air France. Airbus aircraft are so much more comfortable.

  • @ShonMardani

It seems that there are some secrets kept by all parties leading to this mess. I believe the newly designed jumbo jets are not survivable if one of their engines fails on take off or initial climb in every case, one engine does not have enough power. In the case of the A380, even 3 engines could not do it. We also know what happened to Concord.

  • @kevinrichard100

Why buy one of these when you can buy the Airbus?

  • @cameronmcintosh2049

Every time that stupid like and subscribe bubble pops up in the video it pulls my attention from the information. All you do is reaffirms that I will not be liking and subscribing, even if I do find the content worthwhile.

  • @aaltvandenham

I can not digest this way the information is presented.

  • @miquel440

What a stupid channel,97 777-8 planes sold. Clickbait and a lot of nonsense. Those so called aviation idiots pop up like flowers in spring.Cut this nonsense and stick to facts.

  • @alouie001

    Airbus 350 xlr

  • @Mercy_Pants

I bet airbus could build a clean sheet design the same size as the 777-9 and have it certified before Boeing releases theirs.

  • @user-iu9gb2gf8j

Everything made in the USA SUCKS BALLS

  • @jeremydee5424

If memory serves me correctly….the frames for both versions have no or very little composites and thus making it heavier and not fuel efficient…thus making the -8 kind of like or the same phenomenon as the 330-800.

  • @jeffreyatkins1668

It needs to be certified. Once in service it sales will take off.
