Your heat free videos always work on my fine straight hair!! I got lots of layers recently and this really volumises and looks as if I did curl my hair! Awesome awesome awesome!!!
i just put this in and now i'm going to sleep with it! hopefully it turns out good tomorrow morning :) i had no trouble at all following your instructions.. i love your hair tutorials, keep them coming!!
I love this! I teach high school, and often hot roll my hair at night, pin curl it in place, and sleep with the pin curls...then take them down, and voila! instant style! This is another easy hairstyle I can use (aka MORE sleep for me!). Thanks so much!
i really really appreciated this video b/c i always fail so badly with french braiding for some reason haha. this was a much simpler to do and it looks great! thanks!
Thank you! I don't know why but I watched all these videos on how to twist, and still I NEVER got the jist, and now I watched your video and instantly I knew how to make it work :D !!!
You have the best hair tutorials on youtube! i hate putting heat on my hair and you have these really amazing no heat tutorials! how many times do you wash your hair a week? are you still using your John Frieda root awakening products? xoxo
OMG!! This is amazing! I just tried it, and it honestly looks great as a hairstyle! I've always wanted to do videos like yours, you're so inspiring! I just don't know if i'd be as good. :( p.s. There are so many people that really admire your and the videos you make! You're one of my favorite youtubers.
I'm so happy to have found u on youtube few months ago! I tried few of your heat free hairstyles and their great! they give me volume too!! If i use heat styling tools, my hair remains flat and the style fades after a few hours.. :( a waste of buying those tools and frying my hair T.T I really suck at french braiding.. hopefully i can do this without getting tangled :)
Thanks! :D this looks so much easier then french braiding! i've tried to french braid but i failed at it. but this looks like a better alternative! and i saw the end results and curls look cuter! thanks again for the tutorial :) P.s. i love your hair! it's really pretty :3
A french twist is more commonly known as popular type of updo, wherein the hair is gathered at the back, twisted upward, and tucked into itself in one big twist. What you are making is a variation on the "two-strand twist" or "rope" braid. It's very pretty, though.
I knew how to french twist before, but I never knew what to do with the rest of my hair once it wasn't against my head, so I would usually just braid it and it always would end up falling loose. Now I know what to do with the rest of my hair! Thank you so much. But I was wondering if you could do a video on like how I do my french twists, where its more into a side pony rather than two twists, and I start the twist behind my ear, bring it across the bottom, and down into a side style.
Yaya, what kind of shampoo are you currently using? Your hair looks good. I recently bought some Paul Mitchell shampoo/conditionar and I'm really disappointed with it. It makes my hair feel waxy or something weird like that. Any suggestions?
@SweetPlusFun It happens when you're not used to braiding on a particular side...perhaps a bit of practice will do it cuz it's rather simple after a while ^^
@nyago20 I think rope braid is when you do one simple twist all the way to the bottom without bringing hair into it...but ya they're pretty much the same ^^
Just tried this, i'll keep it on overnight and see how it turns out!! =]=] just a question, though...is there a way to do this so you end up with just one braid? i know you showed how to combine the two braids in this video, but is there a way to start and finish with one braid? (twist, whatever you want to call it?) =P thanks!
thanks so much for all ur no-heat tutorials. my hair is already damaged enough so using heat would make it worse ( also im way too lazy to curl my hair evry morning lol)
@constanzacou I prefer to do mine when it's only slightly damp. If it's too wet, your waves will fall flat if your hair doesn't dry by the time you untie everything.
So, my goal is to stop using heat on my hair. I have naturally straight hair. It sometimes kind of waves like how yours does. But I have really short layers that like to flip out and look super funky! I've been french braiding my hair like every night so that it's styled and ready to go. It looks okay, but it gets REALLY frizzy and ugly at the ends. I hate it. So I'm hoping that this works really good!
@Ladidymus I like to rotate among the crap load of stuff I have in my shower. I may do a vid on all of that if time allows. A lot of ppl have said they like the John Frieda Root Awakening line that I recommended in some of my vids...you may wanna give that line a try =)
@YaYaLifestyle hey i love the results of this so so sooo much because i always use the french braid way but nowadays it turns out really frizzy and i dont want that! could you pretty pretty preeeetty please redo this tutorial but with your new short hair? i have no idea how to do it with my shoulder-length hair....i tried it on a friend with long hair and i cant do it for myself!! please please pretty please?
@allegramarquez66 Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy them =) I like to wash my hair every other day or 2 days. I like to rotate among a lot of stuff lol...and yes, I still use JF! ^^

How do you keep your hair so long? Please make a video on it and give some advice! ;)
Just tried this, i'll keep it on overnight and see how it turns out!! =]=]
just a question, though...is there a way to do this so you end up with just one braid? i know you showed how to combine the two braids in this video, but is there a way to start and finish with one braid? (twist, whatever you want to call it?) =P
thanks!
the tiwst cross part is very good, cos I have been trying so many times on it before I wartch this video.
youre a huuuuuge inspiration!
thanks so much for all ur no-heat tutorials. my hair is already damaged enough so using heat would make it worse ( also im way too lazy to curl my hair evry morning lol)

You look like a Mongolian princess with this French braided look.
@6XxSTARxX6 Hehe thank you, I'm so glad you enjoy my ideas ^^
@bengaliefreeaak Doesn't really matter if you want to wear it out. For overnight wave, yes =)
Can you do my hair for me everyday? lol
I love all of you hair tutorials :)
@yoomieful You may have to make it a bit tighter when you're twisting. Also, a final mist of hairspray if your hair doesn't want to stay :D
Whoa! Final did it! I hope it works :) Thankyou :)
and one more thing. my hair is also very thick, but its not as healthy, any tips on how to get it to look healthier and shinier?
So, my goal is to stop using heat on my hair. I have naturally straight hair. It sometimes kind of waves like how yours does. But I have really short layers that like to flip out and look super funky! I've been french braiding my hair like every night so that it's styled and ready to go. question: can you do this with your hair towel-dried? i dont want to wait for it to dry more...
@lightsplash9 Try twisting in the other direction and keep everything else the same. You may be twisting in the wrong direction.
@xoStarstruckkxo Try twisting in the other direction and keep everything else the same. You may be twisting in the wrong direction.

@xValurieChingkyx It's up to your preference. As mentioned, I like to do this when my hair is only slightly damp =]
Do u need damp hair to do this? So u can get curly hair?
thankyou this really helped, but my layers stick out as i go down, would that matter, would it make the results look weird, please respond...
awesomeeee! love your videos! (:
@alhw83 thanks! I'm glad you like them ^^

What do you use to keep ur hair so long? I'm trying to grow mine out

@shimmerpole Yay~I'm glad it works for all hair types. Thanks for letting me know ^^

@YaYaLifestyle hey i love the results of this so so sooo much because i always use the french braid way but nowadays it turns out really frizzy and i dont want that! could you pretty pretty preeeetty please redo this tutorial but with your new short hair? i have no idea how to do it with my shoulder-length hair....i tried it on a friend with long hair and i cant do it for myself!! please please pretty please?
omg!! it works! =)
thank you!
@shimmyshannie As mentioned, it''s slightly damp ^^
thank for sharing & sweet smile
Everytime i finish the french twist it gets loose... even though i hold it very tight( s tight i feel like my hair is coming off) any tips??
@xValurieChingkyx Of course...it's your hair, so you can do whatever you like ;-)
is it supposed 2 be wet/damp or dry when i do the french twists? pls answer thanks :]
I just try it but one side is falling apart faster tahn the other, does this happen to anyone else or its cause is mu first time trying it?
@BeauteousBeing Aw thanks! I learn from other ppl here on YT, too ^^
@Livilovescupcakes Thanks! I have a bunch of stuff that I like to rotate lol I may do a vid on all of my hair stuff in the near future =]
@allegramarquez66 Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy them =) I like to wash my hair every other day or 2 days. I like to rotate among a lot of stuff lol...and yes, I still use JF! ^^

I'm going to try this tonight, Hopefully tomorrow it works ! But my hair is not that long, but still I hope it works :D
@GLBTlove It's a mixture of my Taiwanese and souther accent lol
@19Chiquita93 Practice a little and you'll find it's super easy ^^
@woOahitssam I dunno know who she is lol I'll have to look her up now ^^
@purplehazee90 I already have one on how to shampoo and a hair routine (it's a bit old tho lol). I may do some updates soon ^^
@kalpal040507 I try to keep it healthy so I don't have to cut it very often. I probably will have a vid on all of my hair FAQs in the near future =]
@ThaoAndPuca You can make it tighter if you prefer as mentioned =)
@LeaaLeaax2 As she said, i think you'd probably have to do this when your hair is still a bit damp instead of twisting when it's fully dry !!!
