If you like sleeper trains and you're concerned about the cleanliness of the bedding, I heard a great hack, take a sleeping bag liner and sleep inside that 😊
Definitely a great way to travel between cities... Nothing better than waking up in a new destination after a comfortable sleep ❤❤Sending a new sub from Australia❤❤
We were on the lotus overnight train a few weeks back and we were able to turn the speakers down in our cabin... have a squiz at your buttons near the lights next time to see if you have the same 🎉 x
Thank you! We turned the volume down (admittedly not all the way) but it seemed to still increase haha honestly probably just our brains playing tricks on us! How was the lotus!?
@JordanandEmily we don't have anything to compare it too but lotus was great. Clean & They give you little breakfast boxes and a beer when you get to your cabin. Our kids loved it but ninh binh to da nang was a long journey (and ran late) so we were glad to be off 😅
It’s so cool that you had the whole room to yourselves!🙂 This video is such a great guide for anyone planning a train trip in Vietnam-thanks for sharing the experience!❤
@@JordanandEmily...if you want soft and sweet guava, look for the variety with red core (usually smaller)... There are two ways of eating fruits in Vietnam, either sweet or sour (e.g green mango, guava, etc...)....eating sour fruits is one-way that Vietnamese ladies keep their lean figure (it is like a form of fasting, where you have low cal sour fruits instead of a normal meal)...enjoy your discovery of Vietnam ❤❤❤
Booking the bottom bunks must be like booking airplane tickets with the middle seat free. No one else wanted to climb over someone they didn't know lol
I value a good sleep! Curious…After that choppy sleep would you prefer to do the 10hr ride during the day next time + enjoy the views, then arrive in Da Nang at night + sleep… or would you do the overnight trip again?
@ ah ok thks! I get how ppl save a nite in hotel, but not eorth it to be all tired next day plus hotels are so affordable there + i love the views on trains!
Did you just call a "sleeper" train car "first class"? We rode several sleeper trains in Vietnam and I'm pretty sure they didn't call 'em "first class" but simply "beds" (4 & 6 berths) to distinguish from seats.
Great video guys ❤
Thanks for watching! 😊

Absolutely! Such a good way to travel when you can get some sleep 😄 thanks for watching along!
I love your videos. Did you take an malaria prophylaxis medicine or yellow fever vaccinations for your trip to south east asia?. Thanks.
Thanks so much!
We might have haha we just go to our GP and get whatever is necessary! I know we took yellow fever last year for South America too!
Love your ever present enthusiasm… loved seeing your trek through Vietnam and area! Also great to see subscriber numbers rising… 😊
It's hard to not be excited travelling Vietnam! 😄 thank you! We love seeing the numbers rise!

@@JordanandEmily You're very welcome! Looking forward to more of your amazing content! 🚀🙌
We were there six months ago the bunk beds you call 1st Class they were the same as 24 years ago. Train was running
very slow
Hahaha oh no, time for an upgrade on the trains I think! Haha
Guava is the highest fruit in vit c, so i always buy it when i see it. It’s usually it’s white inside in asia tho!
😄 we've been told that it's the way it's supposed to be in Vietnam!? Like drier than we would have thought, is that right!?
@ I had it in Malaysia + thailand + it was white inside + similar to a pear but drier like u said…you eat the outside not the seedy inside. 😉

8:40 Vietnamese like eat sour and crunchy fruit dip with spice (here is chili salt). Very delicious 🤤 you don't know how to eat 😅
Hahaha we didn't know how to eat it at all!!! It just tasted dry to us 😄
Chúc bạn du lịch vui vẻ ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank youuu!! 😊

Thanks so much! We're seeing a lot on this trip! 😊

Honestly, probably day train 😄 our next train adventure was afternoon + night and we loooovveeddd the views during the day!
@ ah ok thks! I get how ppl save a nite in hotel, but not eorth it to be all tired next day plus hotels are so affordable there + i love the views on trains!
all those fans on the ceiling are because you are actually on the new top secret hover train
Hahaha 😄 ahhh it's all making sense now!!
Now wait until the North South Express Railway finish before coming back to Vietnam😂 not sure how long though, 10 years perhaps?

Oh yeah they have classes for sure! Depends where you book though haha the terminology changes! There's even a suite class 😄
2 beds cabin, 4 beds cabin, 6 beds cabin, hard (wood) seat , soft (mattress) seat
@@anhhainguyen-v2m and the single bed suite!
Why do content creators keep having thumbnails where they have their mouths agape? It looks ridiculous
Completely agree actually 😄 unfortunately nobody clicks on regular nice photos!
