I'm still mad today the Stinger wasn't produced. I started saving money for it after they said it was being considered for production. Then we got the Asstek! 😮💨🤣
I saw it the Seattle auto show in the early 90's and wanted one for sure!! Now I drive a lifted Subaru wagon with a snorkel hahaha i tried to make my own version
I still remember the Aerotech and Banshee. The Banshee had a nickname called "Future Firebird" and was Pontiac's response to Ford's idea of making the FWD Probe the replacement for the Mustang. The fourth gen Firebird received aerodynamic styling cues from the Banshee. One concept I saw on the introduction to the video was the 1986 Corvette Indy. It was a really cool car that could pave way for an actual Corvette, such as a C9 or C10 if you compare the design and layout to the current C8.
The Lamborghini Athon and the Aston Martin Bulldog would've been amazing collector's items if they went into production! Specially the Athon. It embodies the 80's at it's core!
I said it before and I'll say it again, Pontiac has no business other than selling performance oriented cars! The Stinger concept should have been a Chevrolet or GMC! The Banshee is again Pontiac getting screwed over, because they wanted a car too close to rivaling Corvette. At least a lot of the body cues were incorporated into the 4 generation Firebird Trans Am.
After shaking my head, I had to bite my tongue about what I really wanted to say about General Motors. Good designs and good technology but they always backpedal. Such a screw up.
I love how the Aston Martin Bulldog comes in with a tail slide, then shoots fire out of its ass! This ain't no showroom dummy! This is a fully-functional performance car!
Pontiac wouldn't let Universal use it, the car used was a modified Dodge Stealth. The 88 Banshee concept actually was used as the basis for the 93-02 4th generation Firebird and Trans Am

Back in the late 1980s and 1990s in our Auto Body Shop we had a Large Snap On Poster on the wall (Red Tool Box and Red Pontiac Banshee Black Hood and HOTTER than HOT Female Model in High Heels and a Dress :) ... That was before the WHOLE WORLD went G............ A.............. Y !!!!!!!!!!! i still got the old Poster and a NEW One off eBay :)
This guy needs to stop saying Citroen so terribly he’s probably get arrested in France for his pronunciation. He mispronounced it about 20 times in ten seconds.
I agree, he should be fired ;). I looked up how it is pronounced and what other people call it and it was all over the place. Looked up how the French say it and I definitely don’t have that accent and pronunciation down. Needless to say, I won’t be booking a trip to France anytime soon :). Thank you for watching!
GM corporate bean counters and the Corvette killed the Buick and Oldsmobile momentum and performance arms. Buick could of been reinvented 30 years ago not in 2024.
I'm still mad today the Stinger wasn't produced. I started saving money for it after they said it was being considered for production. Then we got the Asstek! 😮💨🤣
That stinger was an interesting concept. Looks like it would have been fun to take in the open outdoors. Thank you for watching!
Instead we got a KIA Stinger 😂
I saw it the Seattle auto show in the early 90's and wanted one for sure!! Now I drive a lifted Subaru wagon with a snorkel hahaha i tried to make my own version
@@allenolivieri1773 that's awesome. Lol. I wonder if they have it in their heritage museum now.
The Pontiac Stinger is 🔥
The “89 Stinger” could probably fit into today’s generation of cars.
I love how most of this concept cars looks really good and exciting
When i was a kid, i had a Matchbox car of the Pontiac Banshee. It was my favorite for years....now my son plays with it
4th gen firebird got some looks of the banshee
I had a hot wheels of the Banshee as a kid and it was one of my all-time favourites
I love how most of this concept cars looks really good and exciting
The Pontiac banshee . I remember when I was 12 in 1992 and drew a picture of it .
I put together a model of it.
I had the Pontiac banshee as a 1/24 scale model car as a kid. It was a background car in the 1st back to the future movie.
I put that model together, too.
Imagine how many people had dreams about actually owning one of these just to get their dreams crushed
GM is a Concept Car legend!
i love how the Citroen Karin is like, we cant do that seating arrangement, it wont work, then skip forward 14 years later
i like the Aston Martin Bulldog. the design is ahead of their time.
The Stinger could've been designed yesterday. I'd buy one.
I do believe the Olds Aerotech with the turbo Quad 4 still holds the record for fastest speed in a 4 cylinder car, just under 268 mph (over 430 km/h)
Code name Big Bertha
Bring back the bulldog and the quazar
The Aerotech 3 looks so much like a Koenigseg it's mad lol
I'd like to see all of them on the road really really. Thanks for putting this together for us to watch.
The Lamborghini Athon and the Aston Martin Bulldog would've been amazing collector's items if they went into production! Specially the Athon. It embodies the 80's at it's core!
It’s crazy back then that people thought theses cars were supposed the be what future would look like
I want an electric pyramid car
I wish the Aerotech became a reality because come on that thing is so cool!
The Karin! 🤣🤣🤣
The car that needs to speak to your manager.
0:01 tesla cyberwagon
Some of these really were ahead of their time. Some look very mid-late 90's, but are all in the 80's!
You opted for the Quasar instead of the Oxia or the Proxima?? Why???
The Bulldog was way too long, looked more like a Weinerdog! 😂
That's what the Tesla truck reminds me of to! Ugly!😂
The coolest never come out…
I said it before and I'll say it again, Pontiac has no business other than selling performance oriented cars!
The Stinger concept should have been a Chevrolet or GMC!
The Banshee is again Pontiac getting screwed over, because they wanted a car too close to rivaling Corvette. At least a lot of the body cues were incorporated into the 4 generation Firebird Trans Am.
infact no one under the Chevy umbrella could make a sports car that could rival the Corvette, Chevy would shut it down
i saw the stinger at an auto show and it looked pretty cool
What about peugeot oxia?
After shaking my head, I had to bite my tongue about what I really wanted to say about General Motors.
Good designs and good technology but they always backpedal. Such a screw up.
That Pontiac looks lovely.. even for today.. but that Aston Martin Bulldog is just on another level 🤌🏼🤌🏼😍.. the Olds is OK I suppose.
THE PONTIAC !!! GM should have dropped Buick & kept Pontiac. Kenny Nash DESIGNER COUNTRY!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Cyber Truck is the one still standing !!😂 8:12
The quasar and the Porsche looked the best.
Sad the Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor and the Buick Wildcat didn't made the cut. But interesting video. Thanks for sharing.
nice
2:17 In 1989 the automotive market surely wasnt evolving into SUVs. That came 10 years later.
2:10 - He didn't misspeak, it used a big ass 3.0l 4cyl engine
The Quasar is my #1.
That quasar is surely a sight to see. Thank you for watching!
I would have like to see a few other concepts apear in this vi
1985 Buick Wildcat
1981 Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor
1986 Corvette Indy
I love how the Aston Martin Bulldog comes in with a tail slide, then shoots fire out of its ass!
This ain't no showroom dummy! This is a fully-functional performance car!
Which one you.want? I'm going with the quasar. I actually don't think I've seen that one b4. BEAUTY. Did seen like the same story over and overbtho.
The Bulldog looks like a child tried to draw a DeLorean from memory.
No mention of engine size or power for most of the cars? You really dropped the ball on this video.
alot of those concept cars in the 80s were just rolling chassis
@@cool3865 That's true. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
also in 1989 the market was not going to the SUV's that wouldnt happen until 1995 with the release of the 2nd gen Ford Explorer
You don’t have to say “as a testament” for every single vehicle.
Now i know how pagani creates the codalunga is a oldsmobile aerotech copy😅😅😅
Honorable Mention:
The Dodge Concept Car
A.K.A - The Wraith
LOFL, clickbait - you are telling me I haven't seen these?
They should've made the Panamericana... And then allowed to that to be as close to an SUv that Porsche ever got.
That Panamericana looks like a fun car to take off-roading. Thank you for watching!
It should be revised
I'm pretty sure the Banshee was used as the failed new Knight Rider car in Knight Rider 2000.
Pontiac wouldn't let Universal use it, the car used was a modified Dodge Stealth. The 88 Banshee concept actually was used as the basis for the 93-02 4th generation Firebird and Trans Am
all of them :D
Too bad he didn't mention the Nissan Mid4 concepts or the 1989 Fiero

O primeiro carro parece um ciber truck kkk
That Peugeot look like bugatti 😂
the karin looks like the lo res car😂
Yeah it kind of does. That lo res is a weird one.
Delorean DMC-12
Citroen the "I" is pronounced as you would in the words sit, bit and fit. Never as in seat
The 80s… when ideas were more advanced than the available technology, yet half the time still looked like 2nd graders drawing cars.
Never heard Citroen pronounced “Sitroween” before 🤷🏻
Do you use Ai audio
These interjected film clips become very annoying very fast
Cyber truck is from the 80s
This guy needs to stop saying Citroen so terribly he’s probably get arrested in France for his pronunciation. He mispronounced it about 20 times in ten seconds.

i guess Elon Musk liked the Aston Martin Bulldog then….?
GM corporate bean counters and the Corvette killed the Buick and Oldsmobile momentum and performance arms. Buick could of been reinvented 30 years ago not in 2024.
Briggs and Stratton car good on gas key is too keep small engine and all wheel drive for the winter in Ohio
The Porsche Panemerica should be on the beach than on the road.
And it ain't innovative design. Other American concept had similar design
The Porsche and Briggs & Straton were ugly. I'd rather have seen the Buick Wildcat or Questor.
80's Cars had such crappy interiors. Even these concept cars.
It's Citroen, not Shitroen
