Our big lap of Australia is over. We arrive home and reflect on one huge year of travelling our beautiful country in Winnie, our unstoppable little motorhome. From crocs to rocks, rivers and plains, to deserts and caves, we saw sunsets by the sea where life just felt so free!
How much did this all cost?
What are our final thoughts?
Enjoy our final episode as we say goodbye to the incredible travelling fraternity, finished with a montage of our adventure around Aus.

It's been a great journey. Time to sell the episodes to one of the major tv channels.
Thanks mate. They were made straight from the heart ❤
Very expensive trip, but the beautiful memories you have built with your wonderful family is priceless. You are so lucky and blessed to have done this. I’m very envious Shannon, and so glad you have shared your adventure with us. Take care my friend.
Thanks mate. Very much appreciated 👍
Waaaaaah I laughed & I cried for the incredible journey of a lifetime your beautiful family embarked on! 🥲🥰🙏 These priceless memories will replay in your heads & your hearts for the rest of your lives. Absolute gold! Thank you for sharing! Carry on! 😜👍🏁
Rozalyn. You're so right. I've replayed and re-lived every single moment of our trip in my head, many times over! I will do so, until my last days! Wonderful memories are just one of very few precious things that money can never buy 😌
Cracking cinematography and what a great story! So many fabulous memories you can look back on. You've really inspired me, albeit I'm not as hands on, and I'm heading into retirement, after 20 yrs in Turkey. I'm planning to be back to Aus to start my own adventure in a motorhome .. Thanks for sharing it's a wonderful and informative series you've created as a family. Thank you!💗
Thanks very much for the beautiful comments! Yes, it changed our lives that's for sure!
Have fun on your motorhome adventure
Stay tuned. We have huge news soon
Thank you ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for watching 😘
Amazing Thank You So Much for sharing your journey with us.
We have over the last two days watched your year long Travel. You have inspired us to do the same we are selling our Van and buying a Winnie Alpine it’s older but it’s what we want.
We have learned so much in two days from you sharing your experiences.
We will keep watching your videos as we enjoy them so much. Thank You Brad & Karen Bribie Island QLD if you are ever up this way you are welcome to stay here with us.
Wow! What such kind words. We are so happy to have inspired you. You won’t be disappointed with your Winnie choice. Keep on watching as there is more of this wonderful country on display. Let us know how you go with your travels 🚎
Thanks Camp Winnie. We have absolutely loved watching you do your lap. Congratulations on the wonderful adventure that you have shared so well with us. We're both either side of the number 70 now and I fear time may be running out for us as we can't leave our farm for a few years yet. I hope this doesn't have to suffice as a "Clayton's lap". The lap we had without doing the lap. I'll keep looking out for videos from you in the future. Once again, great effort guys...thank you and safe travels to you all in the future. Branton & Melanie Hibbett.
Thanks for your beautiful message. Keep travelling, keep loving Australia! 🙏 ♥
You guys are awesome! Thanks so much for sharing your travels. I only just found you guys last week, but have now watched all the episodes. I seriously couldn’t stop watching! We retired late last year, this is our new life until we get sick of it 😊😜 You have just confirmed we are doing the right thing. Your RUclips is very impressive, so is your drone footage. What an amazing trip! Thank you!
Thank you for your wonderful comments! Keep doing what you are doing, and enjoy your travels 👍
Just wanted to be the first to congratulate you all on such a wonderful trip. Thanks for taking us all along with you on your amazing lap around Oz! Also thanks for the stats!
You're welcome. Thank you 😊
wow the cinematography and editing was unreal, the girls crying when driving into the driveway of home was special, just over $1000 per week is the norm, well done outstanding!!!
Thanks mate 👍. The part where the girls are sobbing as we arrive home, still puts a tear in my eye!
Thank you for your quick reply. Agree it's only stuff. After watching all your videos we are looking forward to starting our lap of Australia.
Go for it! You will not regret it for a single moment
My husband and I love watching the four of you travelling our beautiful country. You all have such wonderful personalities, and to see Jess (at her age) having such a wonderful time gladdens our hearts. May I recommend something though? When you are travelling through our country, would you mind telling us just where you are? Sometimes we are trying to guess from trips we have travelled but more often and not we are wrong. We pick up our motorhome in September and cannot wait. Oh, and Bonnie should have her own RUclips channel. To see a cat behaving like a dog, is amazing, and she is gorgeous.
Thanks for the lovely words 🙏
Wow Sincere congratulations to you all, thankyou for taking us along on your amazing travels, epic vlog to conclude your family trip cant imagine the emotions you are going through returning home, you are a very special family 👍
Thanks Darrel 👍
Oh no I’ve found your site,it’s the best one. Just loved the trip. You need to do another one
Don't tempt us! 😏
And what a bloody AWESOME tour of the country you guys did! Fantastic adventures, and perfect vlogging of it all - First class all the way my friend!!😀👍

Finished watching late last night.. a real credit to you and your family.. loved each episode.. very professional .. great filmmaking.. great content.. great to see your kids taking part in each episode.. best lap of Australia out on RUclips by far.
Certainly motivated us to do the same one day!
All the best to you and your family cheers Phil
Thanks Phil for your kind words. So glad you liked being on our journey with us! 👍
Guys us Ramseys have loved watching every episode of your trip as a family. I’ve not commented before now, only because we watch it on the Tele but I had to get on my phone to say what an awesome job you’ve done capturing your trip of a lifetime. Thanks for making time for a visit with us on your trip, it was so great to see you all. We’re glad you’re home safe and sound and look forward to your next vid, whenever that is xx
Thanks beautiful people!! Your hospitality was absolutely second to none!! 👍

Hi guys, We have only just discovered your channel and now see what we have missed. We have just returned from 13 months on the road in our bus and loved every minute of it. If you are ever in the Mary Valley you always have a home base here for a few days in beautiful downtown Amamoor. Kind regards, Glen and Di
Hey, welcome aboard! 😆
Thanks for commenting, and we are so glad that you found the magic out there ✨️
I loved watching your trip, but I especially love that you did it with your cat!!!
Ha ha yes, Bonnie is nothing short of a legend !! 🐈
Well done, worth every cent... the old saying .... we can't take it with us.... we will plan the same when we get our RV in Dec 2022..... thanks for sharing your experiences.. :) 😀
You're absolutely right there mate. It's just money. Most people spend that much in the same 1 year just sitting at home!
An absolute cracka of an episode. So many memories and thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate. Keep your sailing vlogs going now 👍 👍 ⛵

Absolutely you should! It's awesome 👌
Whaaat……I only just subscribed…we did nearly exactly the same trip with our two kids 8 & 9. We loved every minute.
Ha ha sorry mate, yes we went for one year. You'll have to watch all 35 episodes if you are keen. We'll still make episodes from time to time 👍
Very inspirational.. will definitely keep on following you guys. Its not a goodbye but see ya soon down the road..
Absolutely you will see us 👍
Hey guys,, congratulations to you all. What an amazing trip. Can't believe how quick it has gone. Awesome!!!
Thank you Frank. 😊
Our dream in a lifetime is to do what you guys have done. We'll do the same soon.
Make it happen you won’t regret it
Great Trip and wonderful memories.
Can you please do a follow up after perhaps 8 weeks or so to see how you have settled back into surburban life. I would really love to know how easy or hard the re adjustment is.
Thank you in advance
Thanks for your comment. A follow up video sometime might be a good idea. Yes
Great trip and fantastic record of what you did. I think your costs were amazing. Most of us spend that at home doing nothing!! You've created amazing memories together. Xx
We are glad we met you beautiful people! There are truly great people out there, you just need to find them. Your point of 55k is spent at home doing nothing, or just routine life, is very true!!
What a great experience for you guys! I throughly enjoyed every single video. I’m so sad that you won’t be posting as much but I hope u had the trip of a lifetime 🇦🇺 Your vlogs were so pure & just filled with happiness. 💛
Thanks Charlie. Such a nice comment. It really was a magical time
Hi Guys, we have watched all your episodes now. Great job!
Just waa interested if you went the DE option for homeschool or your own curriculum?
Also, were you able to have many relaxing days or were you on the go constantly?
We did homeschooling. I got a bunch of text books from homeschooling.com.au along with some more advanced books for my teenager. Whilst we did do the text books, however we did a lot of self education, such as museums, some tours, I'd ask our teen to research the next town we were going to, and to explain to us about some history about the place. We all learnt a lot. We got books from book exchanges along the way which both kids enjoyed. We did schoolwork 3 days a week, and made it fit in with our non travel days. It took us I'd say a good 6 -8 weeks to settle into a rhythm with schooling. The more we travelled and realised there was so much to explore and learn out there, the less emphasis we put on "traditional schooling". Initially I worried about how the kids would fit back into school once we returned, wondering if I'd done enough with them. I had nothing to worry about, they are both doing extremely well this year. As we only took a year off our jobs, we only had that year to travel to every state, which we did do. We realised 1 month into our trip that we need more than 12 months to do our trip, however we made the most of it. We did have to move every couple/few days, although we did manage several one week stints in places which was nice.
Hi Camp Winnie great videos. What roadside assistance would you recommend and insurance for a motorhome. Ww are taking delivery of a Winnebago Coogee very soon and like you selling our stuff and going on the road. Thanks
Hi Tony. There is NRMA Gold for roadside assistance, and also RACQ (I think they are a Qld company). Both are good options, and are a MUST when travelling Australia. Thankfully, we never had to use ours.
@@campwinnietravellingaustralia Thanks for your quick reply. What about insurance for the motorhome. Update on getting rid of stuff, it hurt to sell the Harley Davidson Deuce and the much loved Aston Martin.
Thanks Tony
@@TonyRebello-y6w it is difficult to comment on RV insurance, as there are just so many variables for each and every one of us. Try Ken Tame insurance or CIL. They are the most popular ones. As for selling beloved vehicles so you can hit the road....we truly feel your pain, but they are just vehicles at the end of the day! Think of the memories you are about to make!
$55k well spent
Absolutely! It was/always will be the biggest thing in our lives that ever happened to us!
$5380 on grog is cheap. Renee and I did $900 in two weeks. 🤫
Well that puts things back into perspective. LOL. 1 whole year on the road is a long time, so it ads up
@@campwinnietravellingaustralia $55k for 1 year around Australia for 4 ppl is nothing for an absolute priceless and memorable journey
