Did I see you block the sides of your solar panel’s? If you did that’s a bad idea! Heat builds up under the panels, if it can’t escape, cause you blocked its escape, the hotter your panel gets, the less power they make, efficiency falls as panels get hotter. I have been there and made that mistake.

Nice to catch up with you guys again, happy new year, my journey continues, currently on the River Murray, Walker Flat South Australia, free camping, swan reach to the north or Manam to the south, 60 klm south is Murray Bridge. Such a great spot . Start of Feb heading into Vic, end of Feb on the spirit to Tasmania, first stop swimcart beach St Helen’s for some sea side living . Looking forward to your next video.

My partner lives south of Minila. I hear Mahal ko. Sweet, there is a croc at the back door. I was thinking about 6 inches, no, it was about 2.5 meters. The worker near by comes and grabs it by the tail. Candy say well thats his dinner for tonight as the croc is trying to turn bite him. No care just drags it away.

My children are both married with their own homes and now their own children and I can tell you they still need their parents. Its just mainly for baby sitting duties these days! Thanks again for the video.

Another great professional video. Keep traveling, hoping to bump into you sometime. Our motorhome's transmission failed in Cairns, and we've been stuck here for over five months. We're ready to leave Cairns soon but aren't rushing, as the weather here has been amazing.

Well I ended up watching your newest video in the lounge in Vienna Austria! The entire video I was like and how long did it take? Bang, Lisa asks the question for me. Hurry up and get over here and have a go at Maxi! I paid $3000 USD to just have the roof resealed which Connecticut Motor Coach did an awesome job and fixed our slide isssue. Waiting for that latest camp video!

Excellent as always, Shannon! When you do the job yourself, you know it’s done right. The previous owner of our MH spent over $4K on a roof repair, only for it to leak during the first downpour after we bought it. Rather than return to QLD from NSW, my husband fixed it himself. The quality of their so-called 'workmanship' was appalling-they hadn’t even completed half the repairs listed on the invoice! Then there was the slide-out issue, misdiagnosed as actuator failure with a $5K price tag for parts alone. In reality, it was something entirely different-just one of many misdiagnoses we’ve encountered. DIY has saved us a small fortune!

Huge job, I think most people who tackle similar projects repairing or restoring old van realise what they have committed to. But saying that when you finally finish the job it would be very satisfying. There are several RUclips couples out there who are presently tackling similar repairs with rotten framing from water egress. Owners of some new vans have experienced water egress issues. Talking with caravan repairers they recommend resealing the j strip and other joins as the silicone goes off after 5-7 yrs and allows water to sneak in. Well done great to see winnie is good to go for a few more years 👍

Good job. Sikaflex is good but the first bit on your finger ends up on some rag then your clothes and everything you touch. It spreads like a plague.

Installing a new roof is alot cheaper than buying a new van that leaks from the first day and then having warranty problems to deal with , you made the best choice 👍
