Mr JAMEL !!!! Welcome back to Home Free.....you have been sorely missed !!!! Dude please promise to do more !!!! As usual Home Free puts their own spin on the classics !!!! You made my night dude !!!
The guys did a great job of this Johnny Cash cover. Made it into a jazzy blues style. And they all look like some sort of criminals especially Tim & Adam. Remember this was done during quarantine so none of them were physically together. They were very creative during that time. Love the background train noises. Adam's beatboxing is crazy good & so is Tim's low notes.
This song rings with me because I grew up 5mins from Folsom Prison. What a beautiful surrounding area outside Sacramento. My dad and I use to drive through the prison base grounds looking at the huge deer and pheasants in the fields, and go fishing in the river underneath at Folsom Dam
It can't be otherwise with Home Free, this is amazing again. Beautifully sung, but also very well performed. Even in prison they are still funny. It's like the perfect recipe. Mix up some great voices, add some of one voice, then the other, throw in the exact amount drum kit, some low bass and great humor and you've the best result you can have!
You can set a metronome to their beat! and to think this is all done with vocals only. Home Free is one of my all time favorites! Speaking of Tim's singing voice, you should hear his vocals on his doowop songs. The man has a range that's crazy
So great to hear you say “Brothers”, it shows us that great music has no color other then being able to strike a nerve. I was excited when Charlie Pride joined Country, sorry it took so long for Darrious Rucker to come along, but it proves music is emotions, not color. May we all sing together, give me an Amen!
I so glad ya got back into Home Free…. I hope ya do more…… they have so many new songs…. But also Voice Play…. An the members of these groups have their own songs as well….. One from Rob and Austin Trying to sing Opera
I'm just done! These guys are so good, that songs I've heard before, still shock the crap out of me! And, don't get me started on seeing them live...I'm still recovering!!!
I started falling in love with a Capella groups about 3 years ago, and never looked back.....just the skill alone, in creating instruments like in a band, with just their voices, sets these groups apart from all the rest, and their skills are beyond mention! Another thing I also appreciate as well, is they are able to cross genres with ease, as in the case, where Home Free is generally Country, they can also do soul, rock pop, and everything in-between. I would love you to check out their version Boyz 11 Men's, End of the Road, and when Austin and Rob sing Opera, just so you can see their versatility 😊
Johnny Cash released Folsom Prison Blues in 1968. I love Home Free's sense of humor! This was done by each of them during Covid at their individual homes - check out the heights they gave themselves! (Actually, they're all around 6').
My wife and I got to see Home Free last June. Awesome performance! As good as their videos are, it’s 3x better live (and loud). Don’t miss a chance to see them live if they are in your area!
Love their version, great tribute with a Home Free twist. I love the height markers, especially Chance. 😅 I miss your home Free reactions. No real issues with blocking either. They've done so many great ones. Their new album is almost all originals, and their cover of The Doobie Brothers Listen to The Music is amazing.
I think Johnny would have loved it. You have to see their newest that just came out. It's Ray Steven's Mississippi squirrel revival. Ray loves it. I've really missed your Home Free reactions
Seriously love all your reactions to HF! I think that, knowing them so well at this point you'd love reacting to a live performance. One of the best videos (for both audio and video quality) happens to be of Man of Constant Sorrow transitioning into Folsom Prison Blues: the Knoxville performance of 3/3/23, on the Yvonne B channel.
I'm glad you finally got into the a capella music reactions. You should listen to the Oogie Boogie Song by Voiceplay, and Tim's solo effort Will You Still Love Me/Stay ( I can just imagine your face when he breaks into the chorus, haha). Geoff Castellucci also has a series of videos on how to sing bass. I bet with your height, and the efforts you've made so far on these videos, you could get right down there and sing along.
It's always so weird hearing this song, having gone to folsom Lake my whole life every summer. Feels like such a small inconsequential part of california but so many people know of the area because of this song
I know you are looking for music that won't get blocked, Home Free has a lot of original stuff try " Understand", " Road Sweet Road". on their last album 12 of the 14 tracks are originals. You might also check out Austin Brown channel for some great stuff or Tim Foust's channel if you would like to hear him sing in all the octaves he can. Love your reactions to music as well as your now movie channel. I hope this helps. Enjoy
Great reaction, you really got into it :). When You have a chance check out their live performance on Studio 10 in Australia, they do one of their latest originals from their new album, it's marvelous!
Hey there, Jamel. I normally don't comment, but I had to this time. I chuckled when you said to get our headphones on. I had put mine on before I played the reaction. ❤😅 🎧
Agree !... I watched the Sing Off too !... A'capella is no longer our grandfolks' sidewalk quartet... I'm hook as well...there's few artists I listen to these days and Home Free is at the top of the list... 🌿🌿🌿
It’s so good. Love this one! Kind of a jazzy blues style. Ok, we think Tim did the crime, Adam belongs in the insane asylum, and the others are accomplices….hahaha. Love Tim’s low notes. Don’t pay attention to the height charts, they’re all wrong. The boys are tall though all over 6’ 1”. Love your reaction Jamel. I missed them on the Sing Off, can’t believe it…making up for it now.🥰
Not a fan of the song, but they did a great job. If you want more bass, check out Tim Foust with the Bass Gang singing Hooked on a Feeling. It's on the Bass Gang's channel. Prepare to have your brain scrambled. And you should check out some of the originals from HF's latest album, So Long Dixie. I'm kind of addicted to Understand, What's Left of My Heart and Givin' Up On You whuch features Texas Hill.
If you haven't heard yet, please react to Rob and Austin doing Opera, Nessun Dorma on Austin's channel. "Two Country Singers try singing Opera" more than just a try...totally amazing, proving Home Free can sing anything!
No the height isn't right. The boys are all over 6' I believe. I didn't like this version the first time I heard it but it's grown on me. Thanks for the reaction!
Love this best harmonies and beat boxer its funny HOME FREE and UPCHURCH are my 2 new favorite artist I enjoy for HOME FREE try LOVE TRAIN and please try UPCHURCH new song PIONEER or any song off the new album it's fire
Jamel you should try some of their solo stuff. Tim Foust released a solo album a while back and his video for Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay - just Tim harmonizing with himself - is mind blowing.
Tim Foust does a great cover of Stay and come go with me. Please check those out too. Great reviews as always, been subscribed for a long time and always love your channel and your positive thoughts and good laughs and of course great music
Janel you would really like Geoff (Pronounced Jeff) Castillucci singing 16 Tons...and Ain't No Sunshine When she's Gone...Check'm out I tell'n you...I see you did one of those... can't see how I missed it...🎉
Cool! This is a good song.. Johnny Cash was a musical genius. I have a recommendation for a video reaction, from the Italian Black/Gothic Metal band called Sinister Ghost. The song is called "The Dark Abyss Of Omerty".

Omg! You're back with Home Free! YAY!!! 🎉🎉🎉🤘🤠🤘
Man, that low bass note rattled my office.
I cant believe ur back with Home Free!! Welcome back!! Ty!! Home Fry here!
As always, they did an excellent job and made the song their own. I enjoy everything they have released.
I’m crazy for this version. They have so much talent and humor. I love Austin’s high train whistle. More Home Free! 😊
Speaking of... Jamel should react to HF's version of Crazy...
Glad you are back with Home Free. Great reaction
Mr JAMEL !!!! Welcome back to Home Free.....you have been sorely missed !!!! Dude please promise to do more !!!! As usual Home Free puts their own spin on the classics !!!! You made my night dude !!!

Home Free are such an amazing group

Johnny Cash lifted this 99.9% from the 1952 song 'Crescent City Blues"

That bass will rattle you with the headphones. You can feel it.
They killed this as only Home Free can. Love your reaction!
Amazing. They do so much with this song! Thanks.

Ya can't go wrong when you Cover a Johnny Cash Song. And Cover it WELL. And HOME FREE does it VERY WELL. Great Post
Discovering this group is why I subscribe to Jamel-AKA-Jamal. I'm stunned and speechless. Thanks man. From Tokomaru Bay, New Zealand.
Tim and Austin sang My Marie and TIM sang the main part. He can hit high notes too!
I'm just done! These guys are so good, that songs I've heard before, still shock the crap out of me! And, don't get me started on seeing them live...I'm still recovering!!!
This is a great rendition!!! Johnny Cash, would be very proud.

Love their version, great tribute with a Home Free twist. I love the height markers, especially Chance. 😅 I miss your home Free reactions. No real issues with blocking either. You should definitely check out Austin Brown and Rob Lundquist sing Nessun Dorma. Enjoy
Woot! Woot! So glad to see your reaction to this song! I love Home Free and I love your reactions, so it's a perfect combination.😃

Mercy that was badass
If you haven't heard yet, please react to Rob and Austin doing Opera, Nessun Dorma on Austin's channel. "Two Country Singers try singing Opera" more than just a try...totally amazing, proving Home Free can sing anything!
A Johnny Cash classic done gone country-R&B. Amazing version of this song!
No the height isn't right. The boys are all over 6' I believe. I didn't like this version the first time I heard it but it's grown on me. Thanks for the reaction!
It is your comments I came to hear. They are reliably great.
Love this best harmonies and beat boxer its funny HOME FREE and UPCHURCH are my 2 new favorite artist I enjoy for HOME FREE try LOVE TRAIN and please try UPCHURCH new song PIONEER or any song off the new album it's fire
They killed this. Johnny Cash would have loved it❤
Together they’re great
brother i sure have missed your reactions to Home Free
Voice Play “Dream On” or “Nothing Else Matters”, which is perfection.
Jamel you should try some of their solo stuff. Tim Foust released a solo album a while back and his video for Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay - just Tim harmonizing with himself - is mind blowing.
Excellent reaction 👍
He has actually blew a speaker. If you haven't give a listen to Tim's and Austin's solo projects.
Tim Foust does a great cover of Stay and come go with me. Please check those out too. Great reviews as always, been subscribed for a long time and always love your channel and your positive thoughts and good laughs and of course great music
This is a version that would have made Cash proud.
This is amazing. Johnny Cash would be proud. These guys are so talented. Check out Mississippi Squirrel Revival
Yep… Tim sets the group above in my opinion. I love bass.
That’s cool I like that take on it
I am hoping you will watch HOME FREEs Rob and Austin sing Nessun Dorma
Have you heard them sing, Unchained Melody?
holy moly that is great
The shortest Home Free member is 6' 1 ½", and the tallest is 6'4"
Another artist Sings this song as well. His name is Everlast.
Tim's bass is awesome, but have you heard his high tenor. Check out
Austin and Tim doing
My Maria, on Austin's channel.
Country singers try to sing opera. This were Austin and Rob sing Nessan derma. I know I miss spelled it.
The height charts were a joke. Rob is 6'4". Tim and Adam are both about 6'3". Austin and Chance are both between 6'1" and 6'2". 😂
Janel you would really like Geoff (Pronounced Jeff) Castillucci singing 16 Tons...and Ain't No Sunshine When she's Gone...Check'm out I tell'n you...I see you did one of those... can't see how I missed it...🎉
Yesssss!
Vocal harmonies was the original musical instruments.
You have to listen to Tim and Austin singing "My Maria".
Try out Mayday if you want to hear Tim singing singing. He has a good amount of parts in that one,
Love this❤
Brandi Carlile does a great version of this too.
react to the Mississippi Squirrel Revival next!!!
Notice how the height measurements behind them are wrong - there's no way that Rob is 6'8".
And there is no way Chance is only 5 ft. That just shows their sense of humor. They like messing with us. They are all quite tall over 6 ft.
Please react to " Blue Ain't Your Color "!!
Cool! This is a good song.. Johnny Cash was a musical genius. I have a recommendation for a video reaction, from the Italian Black/Gothic Metal band called Sinister Ghost. The song is called "The Dark Abyss Of Omerty".
🔥🔥🔥
You should go to Tim's channel and check out his solo work
❤
Jamel I would like you to react to some of Adam Lamberts songs Thanks
Jamel: Check out The Reverend Horton Heat doing a cover of this song.
😍😍😍
Johnny Cash version PLEASE
I know you have lots of reactions to them. Have you reacted to their Song-Off performances?
Have you tried the accapella version of "Hotel California"?
