I love how much you break songs down. I hate when people get mad at people for pausing too much, like isn’t the point of a reaction is to break down the song?
I love him breaking them down this way. There are so many references that I don't catch in songs or understand the meaning to. So when he breaks this way down, I go ahha that what that meant. It's great and if people don't like it they should just go to the original song and listen for themselves. Right? ✌❤🤣 Peace, love and happiness to everyone.
Yeah thats why its fun too watch different reaction channels, like crypt sjö pause less but breaksdown alot, and scriptwork who is really breaking down the song too. But then we have nolifeshaq who dont break it down at all like many others who i dont watch. But i really like the matthews fam, he do break Down abit, and he is Good with older hiphop etc :)
In Intro III there’s the lyric “ ‘Is it me or the fear talking?’ What a dumb question!” Which is his fear mocking Nate in this song when he says “Is it me or the fear talking, I don’t know anymore.”
This song was my introduction to NF. I hate how much I can relate to every word that he speaks in this song... I understand and feel his pain down to the core every time I listen to it. I'm happy he's able to share his pain on a scale where he can let people know they are not alone. He speaks out and reaches deep within the broken souls of this earth. I truly am happy he has blown up to an extreme level. I just want him to be happy at some point!!!
First heard NF on your channel other day , went straight n downloaded mansion, Therapy session, perception & search listened to them all straight through. Don’t think there’s as single song I don’t like. Love his depth of character & deep almost classical production. Really puts it all out there, great artist. Thanks for the introduction, your analysis & dissection of his and others music is brilliant. Keep up the great work 👍
I love that it's like one of the Russian dolls the more you open it there's another to open that has the Fibonacci sequence for its 🔐, it's a puzzle in itself.
"Mansion" is one of the most lyrically intense, heartfelt and honest songs I've ever heard. I love how Nate just puts it all out there and talks about real life and his own psyche. It takes massive guts to do that.
There are 2 types of reactions. 1 is if you just wanna chill and watch someone listen to the song. Then there is Knox Hill where EVERY SINGLE BAR is broken down. Thanks Knox!
When you got the connection with fear and Intro 3 I was like “there we go!” 😂 but in a good way, cause that was my reaction too. Great job!! As far as other NF songs to check out here are the ones I feel like you should take a look at Mansion album: -Intro -All I have -wake up -notepad -paralyzed Therapy Session album: -Intro 2 -real -grindin’ -statement Perception album: -Destiny -remember this -know -if you want love -outro!! The Search Album: -Change (I cant remember if you already did this or not) Warm Up (single) Love your work!! Keep it up!!!
On INTRO II he then says “last year was a glimpse in my life. I let you see what it’s like to be in my head.” Because the mansion is his mind obviously but then he says “I let you come in my mansion but I never said it’s a beautiful house” which hit me so deep
“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves
“Is that me or the fear talking, I don’t know anymore.” When you consider that in Intro 3, he rapped as himself and fear, and often times, it gets confusing who is who.
I love how he mirrors the line in this song and Intro III: "Is that me or the fear talking, I don't know anymore" and "Is it me or the fear talking? HA! What a dumb question"
the way you break down every line, melody, everything, is honestly amazing. I have so much respect for you man, the things you do are amazing and please keep doing then. I'm watching all your reactions and I'm still amazed about how you catch the lyrics so quickly and explain them so well. And don't apologize for pausing man, that's what a reaction it's about, and not only that but to react to every aspect of it, the way you do. You're one of the few reactors that I know that does that and I appreciate it a lot. Your reactions are a journey, they could last an hour long and I'd still watch because you explain everything amazingly. Thanks for doing this man, keep going
I always love your reactions to NF’s videos. To be honest, I have never watched any other videos of yours except NF reactions. My son introduced me to NF years ago. I use to think his songs were depressing, but the more I listen, the more I realize this guy has mean talent. I am now a 50 year old that owns all 4 albums and will continue listening to him. He is so awesome with his lyrics and music.
Request: Remember This by NF. This song is very powerful and It is also a very good song musically. Thanks for doing these reactions. But where is my free blade of grass?!
The fact that this is the first song of his first album(Ik he had an album before it but through the thing I use it’s marked under a different name so I still usually call mansion his first album) is crazy
His lyrics connect so much more than I ever realized. Like you were mentioning with how could you leave us and this one, where he says he wishes he would’ve called but he doesn’t have time in the song to talk about it and then he talks about it in how could you leave us.
This is that song that makes me cry almost everytime, i resonate with it so much. So glad you keep going with him. Heres why he brought fear out in the intro 3.
Another three songs that connect well are No Name, The Search, and Leave Me Alone, all three of those talk about about fame like it’s a person, not a thing. Love your reactions!
Don't know if anyone mentioned this, but the electric guitar in the end is actually again acknowledging inception the movie, the song Time by Hans Zimmer, features a similar melody throughout it.
On the topic of Nate connecting some of his songs together, I feel like I’m the only person who thought about this (correct me if i’m wrong) but with the line from this song “I don’t let anyone inside, so I leave my fort's locked, you can get other doors to open but these doors not cause I don’t want you to have the opportunity to hurt me, and I’ll be the only person that I can blame when you desert me” He talks about how he doesn't like anyone to get close to him, so he’ll kind of reject any form of closeness (like one of my favorite characters from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Catra) cause he doesn't want to give any person the ability to see he's vulnerable and but for him. And the line from this song reminds me of this line from another one of his songs, Trauma. “Trade my joy for my protection” and then another line from his other song, Why. All I’m saying is these songs all mention the same message (I think) he’s trying to tell people about himself. He doesn't want anyone to see him vulnerable, because it makes him feel weak, and when you're weak people can hurt him. So he’ll trade all closeness (which is something his soul wants. “My soul is jealous, It wants love but I reject it”) For what he feels will grant him the safety he wants hence the line “Trade my Join for my protection” (also If you haven't heard all of the songs I mentioned in this comment go listing to them they are really good😊)
I don't even like reaction videos but I have been binging your channel. You have a way of making someone respect and understand the music on a deeper level.
This is why I subscribed! You really appreciate NF ; i have listened to Mansion countless times but i have missed the add lib scream in the background until today , you picked up on that. Great reaction video. Thank you, keep up the good work!
I really appreciate how well you explain each verse and what it symbolizes. You're very concise and intelligent, you're one of the few reaction RUclipsrs that I really enjoy.
*slowly munches popcorn* your reacts to NF just make my chest all fuzzy. It makes me happy seeing someone getting exactly the reasons I love this artist.
I heard an interview with Hate. He said he and Flurie spelled wrong sorry, wrote the hook on a Friday or Saturday night. Then he went home and wrote the lyrics and they recorded it on Monday. I believe that song was in his heart all along.I'm
i think you'll find the music video for green lights by nf very interesting as in the song mansion, he says he built a safe room. i do not want to spoil anything because i think a lot of people miss the connection between those bars in mansion and the video of green lights. i have never been able to figure out the exact reason of the connections but fear is the general connection! Also, keep up the amazing breakdowns and your music is pretty damn 🔥🔥🔥.
This song is so me I love how it makes me wanna think about myself especially because I have issues with expressing my emotions and his music forces me too he's my favorite rapper 🤣🤣🤣
This is proof positive that you *can* have a rap, you *CAN* have a flow, and make it go straight for one's heart. To put together a bridge of understanding between himself and the listener. And he does it from the first verse alone. But keeps strengthening that bond throughout the song. I *love* when music tells a story. And the fact that NF has so many unique approaches to his music, instrumentation and continuing to bring us down the journey of his childhood, and even his career as we know it. Discovering NF recently has easily been one of the highlights ever since. Given the reputation a lot of hip-hop/rap artists have created, having someone like NF challenge the 'status quo' and make music that speaks to everyone who's struggled. It can feel like you're having a heart to heart with him through his music. And that is SO much more powerful than most any message/art I've heard in my life. And I greatly admire that level of creativity, and honesty with himself.
A lot of NF's music connects between albums and the order is really important to understanding what has come in his music recently and when and why he talks about the things he does
Your face when he says he let fear in was fantastic. The realization that you should have listened to this first was great lol. The connections are crazy 🔥
I've seen a lot of reactions videos before..you sir is the best .. literally breaking down the lyrics piece by piece with a lot of passion as well... hat's off...
A couple favorites of mine pre-Search: Real, Statement, Oh Lord (Therapy Session album)...10 Feet Down, If You Want Love, One Hundred, Outro (Perception album)...All I Have, Wake Up, I'll Keep On (Mansion album)
Knox Hill let me tell you NF has opened my eyes, to children who never asked to b born in situations that are completely out of their control so sad to hve noone to trust. Hopefully one day n f, will open up sure someone, cuz I wouldn't want him to live his whole life in his past. No matter how horrible, and disgusting life is sometimes, but to do it alone is th worse fait.
this is pretty off topic, but damn that album cover. I remember seeing that building burn in person, the guy taking the photo could probably feel the heat from there. pretty powerful stuff.
I don't care what anyone says, I like the frequent pauses. It's interesting to hear what someone else connects to the lyrics. Now when I watch other reaction videos, I get frustrated when they just sit and watch 😂 Also, I used to wish for a music video for mansion and intro III, until I realize the lyrics ARE the video. 💖
His discography is moments (his christian record under his full name 2010) NF ep (however he ended up adding 2 of those songs to mansions 2014) The first record under NF and the start of the NF journey. Mansions 2015 single warm up therapy sessions 2016 perception 2017 Single no name the search 2018 paid my dues 2019
NF- All I have. My favorite of his. Amazing song and no doubt you would love it. It's off his mansion album so it's early nate but it's still just amazing. I'd love to see you break down the lyrics the video and his singing in it.
Knox thank you. I watch other reactions put your are one of my favorite bc the way you analyze the lyrics. I do the same but you help me find the ones that go over my head.
This song came first and then "how could you leave us" came after btw. When this song first came out, that line was giving us a hint of what will be on the album.
I love your reactions to NF... They are so genuine and passionate and you manage to catch all the little pieces that NF leaves for people to find. I literally sit here WAITING for another Knox Hill reaction to NF. I don't remember exactly what songs you've done, just that I've seen every video. I would recommend Remember This, Motivated, Change and even some of the other songs from the Mansion album. There are some serious sleepers in that album. Wake up is another good one. Thanks for your amazing videos! Keep it up!
Dont know if there's a comment about it, but at 18:45 and around there, it was supposed to be the girl who sang the main line as she sang 'Lonely. Its Lonely. Inside this mansion'
It probably doesn't get recommended very often, but I'd highly suggest NF's "Lost in the Moment" It's different from his other stuff sound wise, but still real deep. One of my all time favorites, and like I said, a very different sound from most of his other stuff
Manson, the house in his mind, walls with the lyrics of his past written on them, rooms filled with past memories, safe room his inner mind and vulnerability, His emotions humanized either live with him or leave him, basement where he keeps emotions he can deal with but can't fully control so he saves it for later/when he needs it, Backyard is the back of his mind.
I'm glad to have found you and your platform. You have a great mind which is open and very wise. Just appreciate your appreciation for music and what it can do for the soul, what it can teach you and how you can break down the talent in NF. He's been slept on. Very few understand his story telling. I've been a fan since his first ep. To understand him you have to start at the beginning, because it all connects. So most of his fan base have only heard a album or two and have found relation with certain aspects. To see you come and make the connection of his story just after a couple reactions it's rewarding. I've been promoting NF as long as I have known of him and most just don't understand or don't appreciate talent regardless if they like it or not. So thank you and hats off to you. Btw I'm not even a "rap fan". I'm just an old punk rocker who recognizes talent, understands the art, and appreciates music for what it is.
The absolutely baffled look on your face when you had to stop after the first line man😂 Love your reactions just keep doing what you're doing, if you ask me there's no better Rap reactor out there
I can swear that when I first saw your video on my recommends I think it was NF - Leave Me Alone, you didn't have "Rapper" on the title. It just hit me that there was some other title but I'm not sure, maybe this covid-19 guarantee is making me crazy. Anyways good video as always!
Thank you for reading the c9mmehts and listening to the Fambase! This is my favorite reaction to this song! Now wheb you listen his songs after this it will enlighten it so much more. Like on the search when he said, something funny going on up in my house. Great job!!!
I feel like the part about punching holes in the wall is probably about how he is punching the lyrics out of his head and onto paper slowly talking about his issues and using his rapping as therapy and solving his issues.
What else should we react to? 🤔 Comment below! Also catch my brand new series BATLLE SESSIONS here!! 🔥🔥 ruclips.net/video/-yU5YrXzhIc/видео.html
NF - Remember this !! My favorite song :D
Remember This - NF
Let me Go NF the Search album
NF-Remember This!!!!
The Search-NF
“Are we in a psychology class right now?”
No, Knox my friend...this is a Therapy Session.
Well played.... Well played
*I don't know what Knox expected here, but what you expect from a therapy session?*
_Also,_ 13:32
Marking for myself, feel free to use it tho
Exactly
You've won the internet for today. Lol
Nice one.
I love how much you break songs down. I hate when people get mad at people for pausing too much, like isn’t the point of a reaction is to break down the song?
Ikr!!!
Yeah, if you want to hear it through, just listen to the song. This is a reaction and breakdown.
No a reaction isnt to break down a song....
YESSS! You should totally do "Remember This" now!!!!
Request:pleeeeeeeaaaase react to remember this!!
Yes
Yesss
By fort minor haha
You should do all of mansion all of therapy session all of perception all of the search
In Intro III there’s the lyric “ ‘Is it me or the fear talking?’ What a dumb question!” Which is his fear mocking Nate in this song when he says “Is it me or the fear talking, I don’t know anymore.”
What a dumb ass comment have you been through pain
.-.
“Is that me or the fear talking? HA what a dumb question” ~Intro III
How he writes, you can literally see how this house looks like as he unfolds the lyrics.
"Intro 3" definitely helps you understand "Mansion" and vice versa.
They're mirrored the prequel to itself to come full circle
The way your face lit up when he brought up his fear was awesome. This song really is a masterpiece imo.
I just want him to be happy at some point!!!
i wish Fleurie and Nate would do more stuff together this song is something else
Keep up the great work 👍
Go all the way back to 2010 and listen to his Moments album it's under his full name and not his initials
I don't know which is more impressive: Nate's lyrics or your understanding of them.
Knox has done an amazing job catching onto everything.
Been waiting for like 4 months for this 😂, so glad you decided to dissect this masterpiece!
There are 2 types of reactions. 1 is if you just wanna chill and watch someone listen to the song. Then there is Knox Hill where EVERY SINGLE BAR is broken down. Thanks Knox!
listen to paralyzed by nf crazy switch near the end of the song and it’s a great song overall and a deep one
You find the symbolism in Nate's song like an english teacher does in books except the symbolism you find is actually there and makes sense.
Knox Hill is back with some more NF!!! hype hype hype
When you got the connection with fear and Intro 3 I was like “there we go!” 😂 but in a good way, cause that was my reaction too. Great job!! As far as other NF songs to check out here are the ones I feel like you should take a look at
Mansion album:
-Intro
-All I have
-wake up
-notepad
-paralyzed
Therapy Session album:
-Intro 2
-real
-grindin’
-statement
Perception album:
-Destiny
-remember this

Warm Up (single)
Love your work!! Keep it up!!!
You need I Jusr Wanna Know before the Outro ;)
Actually he needs to do let me go
Listen to lie
Honestly I just wanna give NF a hug tbh-
On INTRO II he then says “last year was a glimpse in my life. I let you see what it’s like to be in my head.” Because the mansion is his mind obviously but then he says “I let you come in my mansion but I never said it’s a beautiful house” which hit me so deep
I don't think any of us realise how much time and emotion NF puts in to writing his songs.
To love is to be vulnerable.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Four Loves
🔥👍💓
The reason it seems like it is a therapy class is because music has been his therapy since childhood
“Is that me or the fear talking, I don’t know anymore.”
When you consider that in Intro 3, he rapped as himself and fear, and often times, it gets confusing who is who.
I can't get enough of your reactions, they're so in depth and just fruitful with knowledge and respect for the artists.
I love how he mirrors the line in this song and Intro III: "Is that me or the fear talking, I don't know anymore" and "Is it me or the fear talking? HA! What a dumb question"
Normally hate reviewers stopping all
The time but you killed it. The emotions, explanation and knowledge you add in is killer.
the way you break down every line, melody, everything, is honestly amazing. I have so much respect for you man, the things you do are amazing and please keep doing then. I'm watching all your reactions and I'm still amazed about how you catch the lyrics so quickly and explain them so well.

First time ever I'm early
I love how knox reacts.
Omg yasss I’ve been waiting for this one!!!!!!
I always love your reactions to NF’s videos. To be honest, I have never watched any other videos of yours except NF reactions. My son introduced me to NF years ago. Can you react to Oh Lord by NF?
That is an amazing song. It really hits home. 💖
Mad respect for reading all the comments and replying to a lot. If I got the amount you get, I probably wouldn't.
This was the first NF song I ever heard. I’ve always been so intrigued with the vulnerability and depth of his songs.
This is that song that makes me cry almost everytime, i resonate with it so much. So glad you keep going with him. Heres why he brought fear out in the intro 3.
So proud of u Knox. Hitting a million. U r the only person I refer to for real reactions.
He mentions the “scream” but to me it always sounds more like an echoing water drop
On the topic of Nate connecting some of his songs together, I feel like I’m the only person who thought about this (correct me if i’m wrong) but with the line from this song
“I don’t let anyone inside, so I leave my fort's locked, you can get other doors to open but these doors not cause I don’t want you to have the opportunity to hurt me, and I’ll be the only person that I can blame when you desert me”
He talks about how he doesn't like anyone to get close to him, so he’ll kind of reject any form of closeness (like one of my favorite characters from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Catra) cause he doesn't want to give any person the ability to see he's vulnerable and but for him.
“My soul is jealous, It wants love but I reject it”)
For what he feels will grant him the safety he wants hence the line “Trade my Join for my protection”
(also If you haven't heard all of the songs I mentioned in this comment go listing to them they are really good😊)
@Knox Hill Ever since I saw your reaction video for The Search, I've been waiting for your reaction to Mansion. Did not disappoint.
I love you so much with how you break/brake down NF's songs.....please don't ever quit reactions, you are definitely one of a kind!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I don't even like reaction videos but I have been binging your channel. You have a way of making someone respect and understand the music on a deeper level.
This is by far, after all the NF Mansion reactions (far too many to mention) is the best break down. Gifts are gifts, regardless.
Going down the NF reaction rabbit hole. Thanks for having the content ready for me : ))
This is why I subscribed! You really appreciate NF ; i have listened to Mansion countless times but i have missed the add lib scream in the background until today , you picked up on that. Great reaction video. Thank you, keep up the good work!
This song is referenced in so many of his other songs. All the way to the search. “...there’s something funny going on up in my house”

Mansions 2015 single warm up therapy sessions 2016 perception 2017 Single no name the search 2018 paid my dues 2019
Nobody breaks it down like Knox Hill.
Knox if you ever come to Chicago I'll chauffeur you around in a 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood.
NF- All I have.
My favorite of his. Amazing song and no doubt you would love it. It's off his mansion album so it's early nate but it's still just amazing. I'd love to see you break down the lyrics the video and his singing in it.
I listened to him before he went by NF and then I heard mansion and I recognized the voice and was hooked and have been following him since mansion
By far the best breakdown I’ve ever seen.
Dope! as always! Fan certified ! Love the Pretty boy ,pretty toy bar, GOLD. Thanks for your effort ! From Australia ! :)
Knox thank you. I watch other reactions put your are one of my favorite bc the way you analyze the lyrics. I do the same but you help me find the ones that go over my head.
This song came first and then "how could you leave us" came after btw. When this song first came out, that line was giving us a hint of what will be on the album.
I love how you break down NF songs, best reactions! You should react to Remember This and Paralyzed
This song is one of my top 5s by NF, thanks for breaking it down... great video as always, Knox!
It probably doesn't get recommended very often, but I'd highly suggest NF's "Lost in the Moment"
It's different from his other stuff sound wise, but still real deep.
16:52 I absolutely LOVE the releasation here
best reaction to Mansion by far..great perspective
The absolutely baffled look on your face when you had to stop after the first line man😂 Love your reactions just keep doing what you're doing, if you ask me there's no better Rap reactor out there
Best reaction I've seen to Mansion! Loved your light bulb moment when he started talking about fear. This is such a deep and profound song! Great job!
Literally I'm tearing right now 😭 his songs man another level
I can swear that when I first saw your video on my recommends I think it was NF - Leave Me Alone, you didn't have "Rapper" on the title. It just hit me that there was some other title but I'm not sure, maybe this covid-19 guarantee is making me crazy.
Anyways good video as always!
Great Reaction Knox!-!!!!
Thank you for reading the c9mmehts and listening to the Fambase! This is my favorite reaction to this song! Now wheb you listen his songs after this it will enlighten it so much more. Like on the search when he said, something funny going on up in my house. Great job!!!
NF is one of the best songwriters/lyricist ever.
16:53 his facial expression when he realized the connection between intro 3 and mansion .
I feel like the part about punching holes in the wall is probably about how he is punching the lyrics out of his head and onto paper slowly talking about his issues and using his rapping as therapy and solving his issues.
I can't wait till nf drops more music 🙏🙏🙏
Yes I was waiting for this!
