    Wildeway makes wonderful e bikes! I just purchased the step-thru model during the Fathers Day Sale at $800.00 which included shipping. 28mph on PAS 5. Many people may never bother to use a level higher than PAS 1. However, the 20" x 3" tires are definitely NOT flat resistant and when you do get a flat the kick stand is worthless! The speed and distance of travel on a full charge is fantastic and it climbs hills as if they are nothing special. I would like it if the peddling offered a little more resistance because the motor tends to do all the work! Unless you set the pas to zero which means no power from the motor. So overall a Great E bike, after one deals with the flats issue by using protective measures of one sort or other. Most E bikes are not something one can easily push home even though there is a walking assist mode on this E bike, I would not use it with a flat tire unless absolutely necessary.

    I just picked up the 3.0 for $799. Hopefully I’ll love this bike. I own more than a few, but wanted one with long range. Thanks for the video and some tips.

      You're welcome. I did have an issue with the bike recently, and I am out of warranty. They diagnosed the whole thing with sending them multiple videos, and they gave me a solution that was very fair and reasonable. But when it comes to the internal settings, they just don't want you to mess with them.

      @pauldiaz6540 The hydraulic brakes are surprisingly great on this bike. I'm in the northeast, so it's cold this time of year. I don't ride if it's freezing out. If I get a nice day, I will do a ride video.

    I'm really happy with mine, but I was susprised that the motor didn't handle the hills as well as I expected. BUT, peddling REALLY helped. Made all the difference in the world. I did 14 mile today in the country. I'm expecting to be able to go through the country to town, shop, and come back without hardly any problems. The 14 miles didn't even make if off 5 bars ! Very new with it but very happy ! Basic top speed on the flat, 30mph. Down a hiill so far, 35. Wildeway is going to be the usual Chinese company, you need to write and supply a Chinese version, they won't answer if they don't understand, or think your asking for something they want to keep a secret. So, extra time communicating is to be expected with many apologies ! Sometimes its best to communicate about things they will definitely understand until you get someone who is into working at communicating. Give them compliments until one of their people comes back ! I deal with them a lot, I buy and sell.
    I need a mirror for sure. At least one. The seat is fine. I can now visit places which burned around here without any worries about fuel for my Diesel Truck ! I told the guys I was going to put a high powered radio and install another lithium Iron Oxide 100amp hour LIPO 12v battery to run it. It will do great for that. I'm wondering if , when your going DOWN a steep hill, if there is any re-gen ? Doubtful . I payed $799 plus 200 shipping from LA, put it together really quickly no problems and, love it ! I went between two ancient gold rush towns , one called IGO, the other called at one time Cloverdale. Instead of changing the name to Old Cloverdale, they just eliminated it altogether. Sadly. There is another Cloverdale in California on the 101.

      Unfortunately, there is no regeneration, but it will conserve its large battery very well. Yes, you do have to pedal on some hills to get the power, but with smaller hills, you can just throttle up. It looks like you have the 3.0 version, which is less powerful than the 4.0 version

    • @californiakayaker
      @californiakayaker 2 месяца назад +1

      @@j-rollz Well, I just received it.. Wildeway's web site for the 4.0 shows my bike . . I can't really see any identification of the model on the bike. That said, it goes 30 easily, has 32ah 48v, 750 watt motor same shimano, everything looks the same as what you have here. I"ve looked very carefully at both the 4.0 and 3.0. . You should come up to Redding and we can race them lol. That said, I can't find 3.0 or 4.0 actually on my bike .....There are slight , very slight differences in the two photo's .

      I am planning a new video. The only issue is that I crashed, and I broke my wrist and fractured my leg. The bike survived the crash. I am going to make a video of the damage. I was still able to throttle the bike 7 miles back while injured. So the bike definitely works. Today is actually the first day I'm going to walk without crutches or at least attempt to. I will be happy to give an update as soon as I can. If you have any questions about the bike please feel free ask anything that you would like.

    • @j-rollz
      @j-rollz  5 месяцев назад +3

      Thank you! I was able to get to 46 miles on throttle only, in the highest pedal assist. I still had 2 bars left of the battery life. If you pedal in pedal assist 1, I'm sure you can get close to a 100 miles. I did a 30 miles ride on pedal assist 1 with pedaling and it didn't even go down 1 bar.

      @@j-rollz That's really impressive! 😁👍🏻 I ended up ordering it. I'm in Canada so I ordered through Amazon since the duty fees on it are really expensive cause of the weight. It was $1,580.87CAD ($1,156.28USD) So it ends up being a bit more expensive than the Wildeway website but considering the duty fees, Amazon was cheaper. 😂

    Ive been looking sround and commuter bikes to go 10 miles a day 5 days a week too and from work wirh rigorous terrain. Would this be suitible? I have a 4 year ols son that i would also like to strap to the back so i was wondering how the handling with 40 ish pounds on the back is? Thank yoy sir?

    • @j-rollz
      @j-rollz  6 месяцев назад

      The rear rack on the 4.0 is welded to the frame and comes with a seat cushion and back rest. It can hold up to 110 pounds. Your son should be able to ride on the back. It will hold his weight. The bike can go over decent terrain. What do you mean by rigorous terrain? I fill up my cargo bag to the brim, and it feels like nothing is on the bike. It's been sturdy with any cargo in my experience.

    I think 2 small battery seperatly better than putting in one huge battery . We should not " put all eggs in one basket ".at least one battery has problem we still have the other battery to ride . When we go short distant we do not need to carry big battery too heavy for bike . They should make this bike with 2 small battery selling the same price as this hug battery bike which is better

    • @j-rollz
      @j-rollz  7 месяцев назад

      Have you tried both types of bikes? I find that the bike is very easy to pedal without the use of a battery, so it can be used like an ordinary bicycle. The battery is high quality and very doubtful that it will have a problem. I have friends with very expensive ebikes with 2 batteries and they have more problems with them. Their battery ports have problems and have to be replaced more often than not. This design is simple and works great even if the battery doesn't work. Not putting all your eggs in one basket works for finances, not the same for ebikes. Get whatever suits you. This bike is for leisure fun for me personally. I have a car and a motorcycle for everything else.
