Bad performance? I guess it depends on how you measure it. It was a poem full of pain, so the emotion was understandable. I, for one, think it was phenomenal.

maybe she felt it was because she looked very nervous? which may be true, but i agree that it added.

It was a great performance. You could see her nerves!

A remarkable woman. I found her by just going through videos on Facebook. I was so moved by her words. Another thing that really effected me was her facial expressions. Some poets just say the words, but the way she showed so much feeling in each sentence. I just started the journey of dealing with my anxiety and depression. Hearing the words were what I couldn't explain even in my own head. All I ever would tell people, " I'm going through a rough time right now." They never know how to respond and really how to help. After watching many of her videos, I now know I have direct the voyage to let help in. Thank you for posting this interview. Poetry is one way to learn about aversion on the inside, but seeing and hearing them in a non-scripted way gives so much insight on who they really are. The mouth can't express nearly as much as the face. I pay very close attention to body language.

I’m going through a really difficult time with my own depression right now, and watching your poems definitely help me feel less alone! I really enjoyed hearing you talk about everything in this interview and I am going to buy your book as a Christmas present for myself!

All i have to do is hear a couple of her poems and i know she feels and loves deeply. The feel of depression she should not know. Or shall i rather say the unfeeling of depression. She is an amazing young woman. That this old man can say as he does about all fighting the daily war that i would like to take the battle away from. I would take it all so no one would ever know the lonely feeling and the crushing silent pain of depression.

And yes, i have watched her famous Poem about her Depression. *Many* times.
Her Beauty kinda reminds me of Alanis Morissette.

Thank you for this. She's been a friend when I've needed one for what seems like years now, and now I know a little bit more about my "friend". And now, somewhere, I know a little bit more about myself.
