It is not everyday that such innings are played.. Afghanistan have been there and thereabouts in ICC events. With the good IPL and CPL experience I'm sure Afghanistan will qualify for the Semis in the 2024 T20 WC. 👍

Liked your analysis but i think PDog has definitely confused Mehdy with Mahdi. The top 3 is an issue. the middle over bowling does not look wicket taking. but the other aspects are okay. The bowling in general is decent. Rishad can prove to be a hidden gem.

Your analysis about Bangladesh was very good. Even the cricket experts of Bangladesh could not do such an accurate analysis like you did. The decision makers of the national cricket team should watch this video. But I disagree with your analysis of Afghanistan team. Ashwin and Robin's analysis in particular is not accurate. They are keeping Afghanistan much ahead of Bangladesh. They should have looked at the head-to-head comparison between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Bangladesh and Afghanistan are actually very close in terms of ability. Bangladesh's recent form is very poor. Still if there is match between Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, Bangladesh will be considered as favorite.

Totally resonate with Pdogs's rating. Even though the ratings are given individually, he is looking at the bigger picture. If these two teams get 15&16, then how about the other bigger and better teams? Does that mean they will get 25? Also, as he said failing by one mark or 10 marks doesn't matter, it is still considered as a fail. Pdogg is completely logical and straightforward. I feel Ashwin and Robbie think from a player perspective as they know the struggles every player undergoes to play at this level so they don't want to be too harsh.
Kudos to Ash, Robbie and Pdogg for analyzing Afg and Ban for nearly 45 mins the depth of the analysis for these two nations was of high quality.

Bangladeshi here. I think everyone knows at this point that there is close to zero expectations from the Bangladeshi team in this World Cup. This sentiment is shared by the majority of the Bangladeshi people.
Having said that, wow was the lack of research in this video astounding. This Pdog guy was all over the place and he is the so called expert in this video.
Litton is so severely out of form that we didn't want him in the 15 man squad. If common sense prevails, he will not start for Bangladesh. It'll be Soumya and Tanzid. He's calling Shanto aggressive when he is the biggest problem for Bangladesh right now. He is also severely out of form. His career strike rate in T20Is is 109.64. In this year's BPL, his strike rate was 93.58 in 12 matches. So calling him aggressive and someone who'll hit from ball 1 tells me all there is to know about this so called expert and stats guy or something. Then he starts praising Mahedi's batting as if he's this great finisher. We don't even think of him as a bowling allrounder. He's a bowler that can bat a bit. His career strike rate in T20Is is 103.25 in 32 innings. So, I don't really know what this guy has been smoking but this display is absolutely ridiculous.
The situation of Bangladesh is even worse than people might think. But it's still better than the garbage points that were given in this video based on the metrics that were set. I would say on intent there would be 15, Tempo 16, Power 15 and Balance 15 is a fair score for Bangladesh. 61 out of 100 for a team is a bad score which Bangladesh is at the moment in T20Is,
Lastly, I thought I was gonna watch all of Ashwin's videos on other teams but this thing has massively put me off so cheers.
Mahedi Hasan (the one in the squad) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (who's done actual bits for Bangladesh especially in tests, and not in the squad), aren’t the same people. Ashwin Anna got it but PDog didn’t. Mahedi Hasan has done basically nothing for Bangladesh yet, and I can see Rishad taking his place in the XI with Jaker also making it.
Anyway, we are a complete shitshow and I feel you've been quite kind to Bangladesh with your analyses. We are gonna shit the bed as usual and it wouldn’t be a surprise if we lose to Nepal as well. I genuinely do not see us beating SL, RSA or Ned in a T20 match.
