I actually plucked the plumeria from a tree when getting in the car and just plopped it in the straw and snapped the photo (cup sitting on dash). No filter! But I love the idea of a barista doing that!
Yes, you could do that, however, you will still need to seal it, as the black primer is not as durable as paint and needs protection against aging. Have fun painting!
