Then others need to be treated to fully end it! While others who are having trouble carrying the child have to use those drugs early on to end the pregnancy.

Just spent nearly a month in Ireland this past December, traveling from Dublin South, stopping in Wicklow, then on to Cork, Killarney, Dingle, Limerick, Tralee/Listowel, Galway and Connemara. We loved the country. But the most striking difference was that Ireland was a predominately Catholic country and we never heard one peep about religion or the Church while there, and men were polite, gracious and respectful towards me (woman). Yet here in this sh*tshow of nation, the religious beliefs most on the rise are agnosticism/atheism, and yet I hear so much BS about other people's religion being shoved down my throat (I live in CA on of the lesser religious states) on the regular, and sexism, patriarchy, chauvinism and misogyny are off the charts in every single area of society. I get grief for being a woman at least once a week here from random strangers. You guys are a way better nation of people than the US for all its supposed "exceptionalism."

Originally hospitals where run largely by religious institutions (hence the association with religious symbols like the red cross). These were not run for profit and were funded through public donations.
In most first world countries, the infrastructure switched from religious non profit charities funded by their communities donations, into government run facilities funded by taxes. American health care has transitioned into business models for profit hospitals. Health care being for profit is why pharmaceutical companies can take something that cost them $3 to make and sell it for $900 in America. Hospitals being for profit means they cut corners while cash gouging their patients.
A hospital should never operate like a business. A business can refuse anyone for any reason. If a business kicks out an old woman for cursing them out, their acting within their rights, if a hospitals kicks out a dementia patient to the curb for having a aggressive outburst it's medical malpractice.

The US's inability to differentiate between Spontaneous abortions, Elective abortions and Abortions in cases of incest or rape is a real shame. The Spontaneous abortions are a strictly medical issue! Abortions in cases of incest or rape are a justice issue concerning the prospect of having a person endure the debilitating secondary injury of having to carry a pregnancy unjustly forced upon them. Elective abortions are the only things that would require some sort of debate.

I think this couple should file charges against every facility that refused to see her before week 12, on the grounds that their refusal of prenatal care contributed to the natural abortion. See how they fight that.
[And I still do not see how they can penalize miscarriages actually, since those have happened for centuries, as "acts of God", but in this case, the plaintiffs really could use the State's hypocrisy against it.]

Abortions were illegal AFTER quickening. Before that, it wasn't an abortion. It was clearing a blockage and reregulating a woman's courses.
