Still doing lots of FP. This was not the easiest one to do, but I want to challenge myself. As for Mike's comment below, I am right-handed but play left-handed, mainly because of lack of pressure (particularly my ring finger) with my left hand. But I did learn right handed chords, so as not to have to transpose them. It works really well for me.

Yes - I have had live left-handed students and I have seen both regular and modified uke work for them.

Hello Lisa, been following you for a little while, any suggestions for a player who is very left-handed and is trying to build some right hand dexterity? I find my ring finger doesn’t like to cooperate! I’m working on this with my guitar teacher as well.

I have had several lefties restring their instruments upside down - so the G string is on the top when holding it with the neck going towards your right hand. I don't know if that will help you with the uncooperative ring finger or not. The other suggestion is to work your chord transitions without the burden of strumming patterns, or even songs. I used to sit and watch wilderness building projects on RUclips and go back and forth with my tricky chord transitions - G to Em, even G to F was a hard transition to master. This was actually really relaxing and it got my chording hand trained up faster. Good luck with that!

@@TheUkuleleFool I have thought about trying to turn one of my tenor ukes into a left handed version. It might be a good way to get the ball rolling until the dexterity improves. Thanks for the tip and I really enjoy the videos. Ukulele has become my 2nd instrument! But if it has strings and frets I’ll try-it including tenor and lap steel!
