    Jesus, never thought that a dirty sponge could make this difference. My car was acting like an old school diesel with turbo lag, and less power overall. No codes, nothing. And also frequent DPF regens. Cleaned that sponge and car came back to life right away, and DPF regens back to normal. The sponge also started falling apart, and I've replaced the solenoid anyway.

    Hello my Mondeo mk4 2008 2.0 tdci 140hp had two of them. I had strange buzzing noise when turning engine off. Then it started kicking when accelerating which made me check whats going on. I noticed the one of the valves, close the intake manafold was making the noise, and i wasnt sure, but when i switched the two valves my car changed the sound, it was sounding more like whistling turbo sound and i knew that something was wrong with one of the two valves. So i put them back as they was and when i added more than 3000RPM the car went into limp mode with ESP light on with errors:
    P2263:73-27 - Turbocharger boost performance
    U0401 - Invalid data recieved from ECM/PCM
    My question is if you know..
    Which valve controls the turbocharger? Is it possible one of the brown valves to make the car going into limp mode with turbocharger interferences? Are both valves linked together?
    Thank you very much i will apreciate your opinion on my problem :)

    Hey, my issue is that the throttle housing flap gets stuck after shut down and the car won't start again unless I disconnect the vacuum hose from the throttle housing.
    I removed the vacuum valve like you did and changed the sponge. After two shutdowns it was okay but after the third, it didn't start(hence the flap got stuck again). I also cleaned the throttle housing and it moves freely. What would you recommend I try next?

      yes, it looks the same. If I remember it's located somewhere between alternator and AC compressor.

    • @mrfixpl
      @mrfixpl  8 лет назад +1

      What car? Which engine? What's your valve controlling?
      Best if you follow the lines. You will find that all VACs are connected with each other, and OUT lines go straight to devices.

    • @nikolaigolchev9575
      @nikolaigolchev9575 8 лет назад

      The car is Volvo v50 2.0d and the valve is the same as the one in the video. I am not able to see in the video which goes to Vac and which goes to Out. That is why I am asking if the line from the upper part of the engine goes to Out and the one coming from the side of the fuel filter goes to Vac.

    • @mrfixpl
      @mrfixpl  8 лет назад +3

      OUT goes to turbo. that's the line that goes between engine and battery, then behind the engine under the EGR valve.
      VAC goes under the intake manifold.

      mr-fix Sir, it just stay at -1.0 bar when start up. The funny thing is when I hit the throttle, it, sometimes, can reach +0.3 bar. I got this second-hand car 2 weeks ago. The engine works..okay...kind of. Not rough idle and no strange sound when accelerating....(sigh) arrrrrrrr...I haven't try full acceleration...yet...

    Becareful this electrovalve is the one that moves the piston of the wastegate, the sponge is very fragile, most of the Time you will damage it...

    Please someone help me. I cleaned all the three valves and still have a power loss. First 3 gears are okish but then its a slow car. This happened after changing fuel filter and mass flywheel, there is no to little air in the fuel line. I ordered a new gas house inlet as I read that the valves sometimes break down

    • @mrfixpl
      @mrfixpl  8 лет назад +1

      Replacing parts to trouble-shot no power issues is a bad idea. Best if you connect your car with diagnostic interface and check some live data from your car. Then you'll see if the fuel pressure is correct, air flow/temp/pressure, acceleration pedal readouts... Or maybe your VNT is stuck.

    Might sound like a silly question, but is this located underneath the car looking upwards? My car is a C-MAX 1.6 TDCi 90 and has low boost and shakes on switch off. Could this be the cause?

    My wastgate on 1.6tdci focus mk2.5 is not working! I have a overboost p0234-62. The car is lazy as f*ck! bad acceleration... The wastgate actuator doesn't move!
    When I start the engine as soon as vacuum pump start the lever pull's in and stay stuck! I have *changed* the vacuum valve with NEW, oem by pierburg and I was pissed when noticed that same thing is happening! It looks like that valve is not being driven by ECU via 2 pin connector ?!? But, on other hand when I plug obd2 forscan i get duty cycle %% changing when i rev the engine! WTF ???
    two things I have to mention:
    1) egr is blanked and pcm tuned by professionals, focus was like a rocket !!!
    2) 20 days ago I got dashboard failed, cold solder, but i managed to get home and take the pcb for resoldering... after few hours dashboard is connected and next 2 days again, it was flying like a rocket fast, normal acceleration 100% but already 3rd day it become lazy AGAIN? WTF ???

      Most likely access to the turbo control vacuum valve in 1.6HDI engine is from underneath the car. Somewhere under the air filter box, next to the engine starter.

      I've got this car, on my 2007, it is on the back of the engine, you cannot see it. under the black plastic trim with the wipers on, there will be a breather type pipe with a filter on the end. follow this down until you feel it, it was a whole arms reach down if that helps. I have yet to remove it and see however, but I will be jacking the car up soon to have a look underneath as that may be easier than through the top.
