- On the evening of August 16, 2023 a major train derailment in Amarillo's South Yard occurred just off the Transcon Mainline.
BNSF Railrfanning Amarillo cameras covered the aftermath and cleanup of this accident. At least eight tank cars were laying on their sides across the switching lead, blocking yard access.
The full video is currently being edited and it has some exciting action of the aftermath and cleanup. Stayed tuned for the full video in 4K!
