I have Alto 800 and recently I installed yokohama 165/65 r13. Same as yours. Did you feel any difference in steering? I felt it is not smooth as before. Please share your experience with this upgradation.
Something is not right in your case. In my case the car became smoother than before, handles better and has better road grip. I hope you have checked the tyre pressure and maintain 30 psi. Also check if the tyre has any manufacturing defect.
I have recently bought used R13 alloys for my alto800. Im confused with the tyre size bcz my local tyre dealer said me to go with 155/65 R13 since 165/65 R13 tyres have problem of touching the wheel well while turning......is it true for you? Can i use 165/65 R13 in my alto800 ?
Amazing Information and Video. My 2005 Model Alto Tyres are due for change. Does this Alloy wheel fits the older Alto Type 1 model? And should I go for this alloy wheel or get the 13 inch steel wheels of Alto K10 and upgrade the tyre to the size you mentioned? Asking this because my car is almost 17 years old. And will be using 2 more years. So what will you suggest me?
Thank you 😊 ... If your are not planning to keep the car for atleast 5 more years, it will not be worth the investment. Go for 13 inch steel rims instead.
Very detailed and very informative. I too own an Alto and an Yamaha FZ V2. I will be changing the chain and sprocket set myself soon; thanks to your DIY videos! My Alto is due for tyre change and I am considering Michelin XM2. Your thoughts between Yokohama and Michelin; Which one should I go for?
I haven't Personally used Michelin will soon be using on my Vstrom as it's due for a tyre change. Yokohama is just too damn good. I am not able to jam the brakes these days even if I stamp on the pedal ... It's that grippy.
Very nice video and very informative, want some advice I'm having Alto K10 2019 model and want to install orginal MGA alloys 13" but they say it will create problems in differential of the car.. so pls suggest
I have same type car. If I change from 12" to 13", will it damage the car body while driving in poor damaged condition road? Not sure how shock observer will work? Also can we increase from 145/80 to 155 size?
Thank you so much 😊🙏🏼... There is no particular benefit in this case except the fact that MGP doesn't make 12 inch alloys and not many options in tyres for 12inch wheels.
If you see the plate is bolted, then you can place order at yamaha dealer. Unfortunately I don't have the parts manual with me. Worst case, remove the part and take it to a welding guy, he can cut a plate in that shape, fabricate it, paint it well and fit it into place.
I have always done the basics. Cleaning always with shampoo water (never wipe dust in dry conditions) and wipe it dry after the wash with micro fiber towel. I apply wax once is a while. Once I have gotten ceramic coating done only on the tank about 2 yrs back. Some parts of the dome is new, so won't say that they are 10 yrs old. They were replaced about 6-7 yrs ago.
What is the weight difference between the steel wheel with tires and the new alloy wheels with tires? Just being curious because the motive of going alloy is reducing wheel weight for better acceleration and better fuel efficiency. So please tell the the difference. You can do it by using a simple weight machine
@@VEDANTBARTHAKUR I wanted to measure the rims but sadly could not due to the haste I was in as the conversion was done during partial lockdown. For me, it was mainly asthetics, but alloys are generally lighter (may be marginally), better heat desipation and slightly more rigid than steel in mild impacts.
Steering feels the same in slow speeds. Car feels much more stable in higher speeds. Although I won't say all these changes are only for the increase in width. A brand new rubber always improves handling even if it was the same size.

Any difference observed in pick-up, shock absorbing & riding comfort?
Thank you so much 😊. There has not been any significant difference in performance or fuel efficiency, nothing that I have noticed.
Possibly the most tastefully modified Alto 800 on RUclips. No gaudy useless shit like most others.
BTW, did you get those Alloys at MGP or MGA?
Thank you so much. Got it from Boodmo. It comes under MGA.

Do you have issues with the tyre touching the wheel arches or the bumper? And any issues when 3 people are sitting at the back?
Absolutely not. They are well within the tyre wells and touches nothing.
@@MototechWanderer Thanks for the reply.
Your making awesome video thaks a lot to you and have one question any millega drop do you face?

Nice work man its aesthetic looks changed significantly if we use 14 inch what upgrades do we need to do
If we go 14, we need a low profile tyre which will compromise ride quality and have risks of rim damage.
