This video was really a roller coaster ride, reaching the soaring heights of 10/10 and the abysmal lows of 6/10. One moment I’m clapping and cheering just to be screaming and sobbing the next, then to start the cycle over in a matter of seconds. A truly amazing video, really made me FEEL like a gamer.
Spider-Man 2 almost felt too similar to the original when I started, but playing through I started to appreciate all of the new mechanics that were previously absent. Being able to ride around on Yoshi was fun, and the big head spaceship was very funny. Great game.
The talking flowers were a bit annoying at first but after I completed the Howard mission I started to understand the deeper meaning behind their words.
It was necessary otherwise players wouldnt have continued the game. They would have just gone and ride the Big Wheel Ride forever. It had to be done for the future of humanity.

Actually, it's inclusion was done HORRIBLY! first of all, it's NOT called "Big Wheel" it's called the Wonder Wheel!!!! And it's missing the wonder wheels signature feature! I liked how collecting Spider Coins made the spidermobile bigger and eventually you got to fly to the moon and defeat Doug Bowser, granting Sony the rights to all of nintendo's intellectual property.
The side quests were so much better in this one. I loved the mission in which Miles gets angry at Howard for not helping him with his essay and tells him - “I’m a god in human form. Lightning bolts shoot from my fingertips”

It's baffling nobody pointed out when the Lizard said "It's tail time, Spiderman" or when Kraven said "I'm kraving for some hunting". The ingenuity in those lines makes this game really feel like Spider-Man 2

It's crazy how Spider-Man 2018 looks and feels somewhat... not totally, but a little empty and flat in comparison to SM2. A lot of people are saying it's the same, but to me, the videos don't do the game justice to how good it actually looks in person on a good screen. The level of detail and city density while moving at insane speeds is amazing.
I was right with you until you said the lighting in 2 is better. I think the lighting in 1 looks much better. That game just looks clearer and has better contrast. 2 looks muddy to me.
To me it was too graphic, especially the scene with the cross. I get it needed to be in there for the story but I don't know if a 35 minute unskippable cutscene was the way to go.
I know the developers took a lot of flak on the Gamecube version for making you play as Game Cube but I think it really added a lot to the experience. The tesseract levels really took the gameplay to another dimension.

Hi-Fi Rush sticks out like a sore thumb as the only diamond in that rough. Do wish Dunkey wasn't implicitly dismissive of that game with his remark there, but who knows, maybe it'll get a positive mention in a Best of 2023 list.

This is one of the best games of all time. In most games, they want you to believe you are this guy, the guy you are playing as, but guess what, you never feel like you're actually the guy. In this game, you really feel like you're spider-man 2 and that's simply why this is one of the best games.

I would give it 10/10 too. It is not perfect, but it's just small gripes I have here and there. They've set the standard very high for the next game which might come on PS6.

5:08 I like on how that guy was boasting about xbox having the better games when the the games on that list are two remasters, hi-fi rush (which I heard was good so at least theres that but still its also on pc), a racing game we've already gotten, a game that is pretty mush the same game every year that is also on every platform, mid fallout in space, nominee for stinker of the year, a minecraft spinoff that nobody played (which is also on every platform anyway), and this one takes the cake a game that released last year as an exclusive to playstation before coming to xbox a year later.
Xbox fans have slowly been losing their minds for years. They're like the Sonic fans of consoles.

Hi-Fi Rush sticks out like a sore thumb as the only diamond in that rough. Do wish Dunkey wasn't implicitly dismissive of that game with his remark there, but who knows, maybe it'll get a positive mention in a Best of 2023 list.

I went to get some water and paused at 5:10. When I pressed play on my headset, it started playing classical music from spotify, but I just thought the video kept playing. I read the entire review from "Metric_Monkeh" just totally believing Donk-man had sincerely left me the time to read the entire thing talking about how Biblical the game is...

That being said, I still would have liked to have heard your actual thoughts on the games story, mechanics and general 'feel' (for lack of a better third option). You have become a fairly significant voice in the community and I often watch your videos because of your insight and knowledge of games and game design. This is one of the best games of all time. In most games, they want you to believe you are this guy, the guy you are playing as, but guess what, you never feel like you're actually the guy. In this game, you really feel like you're spider-man 2 and that's simply why this is one of the best games.
Can't wait till Spiderman 2 2
My takeaway is that there is a _The Grinch_ game. that one second of gameplay shown looked sublime
