Love it! That Qatar A340, the engine sound on auto-thrust….the pilots just showing off to hold that nose wheel up. Just brilliant footage. I’m sure you will get many asks from different channels for that one 🤙
Yeah, that third one was definitely pulling a wheelie 😂 I thought the Antonov was a fantastic landing, too. That came in real quick and steep. Nose down. Impressive!
Great catches!!! Wonder if the hawks were playing cat'n'mouse exercise with the Phoon? Didn't realise Qatar still had A340's! The AN12 was a good catch, I think they're a bit of a regular appearance at PIK. Should be down in September for the airshow 👍
Thanks man, the Hawks were heading home back to the U.S I think via PIK. The Qatar A340 is a government jet too. And it was very nice to see the AN12. I hope you enjoy the air show!
They seem to get a really different lot of aircraft up there not like Heathrow or Manchester that just get the same aircraft every day !! I work at Brisbane airport and we love it when something unusual comes to visit our cameras/phones are at the ready !!
Yes that’s exactly what I meant the show, is good that you like it 👍👍 because for me it was like out the window honestly I thought Big Jet TV was going to do a different airport 😏
Hi Rob. Yes. Prestwick is very well worth a visit. Although it’s not the busiest airfield, the variety of unusual movements is arguably the best anywhere - cargo planes like Antonovs, 747s etc and a variety of military planes - both fast jets such as the typhoons and military transport jets like USAF C17s and KC135. Even had a Boeing 707 and a DC8 in the last month or two. Finally it’s also a popular base for circuit training for many U.K. airlines. Hope that helps
Hi, thanks for replying back to me I appreciate it. It does sound like Prestwick airport would be an interesting and exciting airport to visit. I was thinking of trying to visit Prestwick airport one day as I've seen other videos on RUclips of what kind of aircraft you can get at Prestwick. I would love to see a Boeing 747 up close at Prestwick, that would certainly be amazing! Do you know how often Prestwick airport gets military aircraft? Thank you.
Lucky to see this Qatar aircraft! It’s a rare bird. It’s a special Amiri VIP group of 12 Aircraft operated by Qatar. They have a 340-200 plus a 340-300 and a 340-500 Also two 330-200 They also run two 747-8 And 5 single aisle Airbuses. The 340s of the regular Qatar Airways fleet got retired in 2019.
If your title Hawk T1s means the same as the RAF used Hawk T1s - then these Hawks aren't T1s. They have a different nose shape and T1s can't use external fuel tanks, they don't have the fuel pipes and underwing fuel connections for fuel tanks. I'm not sure what Mk they are maybe Mk51s?
Sounds Air operate the Pilatus PC12 on a number of routes in NZ inc Christchurch-Blenheim & Christchurch-Wānaka. Not sure of their other routes, I think possibly Auckland-Kerikeri but not sure. It looks like the PC12s featured here were on delivery flights.

Do you really think, they are holding the nose wheel up on purpose? 😂
@@FTStratLP for that long....yes. Its showing off. Its a brilliant landing. But would you like to add anything more?
Thank you very much!

@@kevinfairclough4619. I will. It’s a mistake , you don’t do that in airliners . Have a think why .
Great stuff...nice to see the 747 at the end.❤
Was a bonus to see after all of this, love to see it

I know right, so cool to have something different every day. Heathrow has its stuff but this? it’s a really nice change once in a while
This beats Big Jet TV hands down! Great collection of aircraft so well done matey!!
I’m glad you enjoyed it 👍
*ANYTHING* beats that nonsense hands down. Not taking anything away at all from this video it's magnificent.
100% brilliant footage, subscribed.
Great video, Super Smooth bro! 🔥 😊
Thanks man!
FINALLY SOMEONE THAT KNOWS THIS AIRPORT
Everyone does its so cool
@@Shannonplanespotterikr I saw a B747 and a 777
That 1st hawk looked like it flew straight though a flock of birds 😮
Just saw that, wonder if it was as close as it looked?
Excellent video Ty 😁Aviationin4k how did you like ANC?
Thanks man! I wasn’t at ANC but I was watching the BIG JET TV shows from there 👍 but it was good thanks if that’s what you meant!
Yes that’s exactly what I meant the show, is good that you like it 👍👍 because for me it was like out the window honestly I thought Big Jet TV was going to do a different airport 😏
Wonderful spotting 😎👏
wow, nice plane spotting video ✈
Thanks man!
@@aviationin4k258 you're welcome
chose a good day to spot mate😊
So many surprises!
A340’s are just sex. Was lucky enough to see a Lufthansa one at Manchester for a repaint a few years ago by chance. Great video!
Hi there, I have a question. Do you think Prestwick airport would be worth visiting? Thanks

When was this filmed?
8th of April, earlier on this month 👍
@@aviationin4k258 thanks, just wondered as there was an accident on 24th. Piper Cherokee crashed with two people on board.
Someone's got the old wickes ladder out.
What Military group did the hawks belong to?
Apparently they are private and can be rented out for excersises
Why Qatar arrived at Prestwick plus when they pwrn a340 200
Plus what's the best time to spot St Prestwick for rare visit afternoon or morning
It's an Amiri flight - government/royal family aircraft, not passenger service.

Where was Elvis? 😊
He’d already left the building
In the Chip Shop
Who owns the 4 Hawks…. are they ex RAF?
Sorry for the late reply, these are rented out apparently
I’m sure these hawks have been based at raf lakenheath I’ve seen a few times on ted coninsbys channel
Yeah they were there, they actually came in from there this day, they were headed back to the U.S apparently
Mk67 ex South Korean Aircraft, RAVN used to be called Air USA, but they have been used lot lately at RAF Lakenheath.
Corrected now. MK67s 👍
But I thought they were modified T1s?
First aircraft is what we have in New Zealand as a passenger plane 😂
Kia ora bro, yeah Nelson to Hokitika 😂😅

Come on people nothing beats JD 🤣🤣🤣
The A340 engines are small!
@@heeraipad6457 they are aren’t they
The AN12 was on a spying mission, checking out the Hawks & potential missile targets over Britain 🤣😅😂
Didn’t realised Qatar has a flight to PIK
It’s a government jet, so no Qatar passenger flights I don’t think 👍
Qatar has a daily flight to Edinburgh. I thought it was just diverted. Qatar Government you say, I hope they are investing in Rangers 😂😂
That’s dirty one coming in 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿 A340 looks great 👍🏿 propeller one
Pretty sure a small aircraft crashed near this airport yesterday
It did a few days ago unfortunately, luckily everyone made it out
@@aviationin4k258 thank god 🙏
