- Music from "The Fellowship of the Ring" composed, orchestrated and conducted by Howard Shore.
"I wanted to score these scenes in a primal way," says Shore. "They had to have a brutality to them."
Shore's music inhales and exhales slowly with the struck Boromir. "I was trying to capture the movement - the breathing, the
organic feeling - to make it feel like the music was part of the scene. I used these swells, not too much, but just so that it gave the scene that life."
Amazon will NEVER be able to compete with content like this. Never.
I have to say, I admire Boromir as a character. He had flaws like the rest of us, but he still had honor.
He shows what humans are
@@dirtytrout3489 What humans can be if they look for the good in themselves.
I'd go so far as to say that Boromir is the ONLY actual character, in the movies at least. Almost every other is unrealistically perfect: Legolas is eye-rollingly so, Aragorn though he appears to have an arc is never really in danger of being morally complex or losing his moral perfectitude, same goes for Frodo. Sam is the slavish perfect friend 100% of the time. Gandalf dies only to become even MORE perfect. And Gimli and the other hobbits are mostly just comic relief. Not that they aren't all memorable characters who are marvelously acted, obviously, but Boromir is the only major character with any actual depth (perhaps Bilbo and a few of the Rohirrim), and for my taste is therefore the only character who really inspires.
He’s SUPPOSED to be likeable.
Boromir’s fall to the temptations of the Ring aren’t too show his weakness, but to show how even great, noble men of valorous heart can fall prey to it’s lies.
@@julianmarx2002damn Aragorn sure has armor plot but he almost died when he felt off the cliff.
This extended version is so much better
8:38-9:17 that extra 39 seconds has become one of my favourite moments in the whole trilogy. Merry and Pippin are fighting alongside Boromir, and Pippin uses a technique that Boromir uses seconds before to show that they did learn from him. Then the rock throwing, Boromir swinging with all his might, and the Uruk-Hai just coming at full strength, and the three continued to hold until Boromir could fight no longer.
10:06 Gets me man, the part where Boromir knows he's been fatally wounded but he refuses to give up and leave Merry and Pippin to suffer and die at the Uruks hands, fighting desperately to protect his friends.
7:30 This is the last time the song ramps up for the Heroes, feeling the pressure adding. The beating of the wardrums becoming heavier, Boromir prolonging Merry and Pippin's survival.
8:00 The soundtrack shifts completely, now the Uruk-Hai have the upper-hand, swarming toward the Halflings and Boromir..
words cant describe it man
what about 8:38 i feel like that ramped up slightly for boromir
@@isabellethedragy8248 yes and no cause they are holding their own but are forced to try and retreat as they see more coming down the hill
I feel so privileged I got to see this in the theatre. Multiple times. The atmosphere was phenomenal, unforgettable. I always felt bad for not having watched Aliens, The Thing, the original Blade Runner, The Hitcher, Platoon, Interstellar and 1917 in the theatre but at least I got to see Saving Private Ryan, Titanic and the LOTR trilogy. Because there simply are movies that should be experienced this way.
Same here for me and also The Pirates of the Caribbean. The experience was SO mindblowing. 🤗🎞
7:30 The Hero comes 😔
Everyone knows Boromir is the true hero who did nothing wrong. One does not simply explain why.
When I watch the Lord of the rings it makes me want to live again.
do they make you float pennywise?
Please stop murdering our children.
I realize I am pretty randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to watch new series online?
@Emerson Fox Flixportal xD
@Cristian Joaquin Thanks, signed up and it seems like a nice service :) Appreciate it !!
Fun fact: the melody that plays from 12:20 through 13:40 is again played in two other non-related scenes in the movies. Both in the ROTK, when Theoden is comforting Eowyn before their departure at Dunharrow, and the other is a shorter version when Frodo is writing in the red book at the end of the movie and Sam walks in as he finishes it.
I don't think it's so unrelated. Both Boromir and Eowyn felt failure and got recomforted by someone else's words. Somehow the same happens to Frodo.

Legolas: "Boromir's blowing his horn. He's in trouble."
Aragorn: "And you left him alone, you moron? Do you know who's playing him?"
Legolas: "Yeah, Sean Bean."
Aragorn: "And do you know what happens to Sean Bean in everything he's in, you stupid blond?"
Legolas: "He gets k... HOLY SHIT!"
hahahaha that my friend was very funny hahaha
agreed favorite comment
truly funny
But one of the best moments in LotR when he accepts Aragorn as King and asks for forgiveness.
I concur
"They will look for his coming from the White Tower. But he will not return..."
Who else's brain automatically inserts Boromir's horn blasts at 8:00?
alright besides my last comment but to be honest i feel like who ever made this video should have because its an important peice to the music
"The horn of gondor!"
@@TheguyfromJurassicpark3 Boromir!!!!! Que drums and chains…
“From the Gate of Kings, the North Wind rides and past the roaring falls, and clear and cold about the Tower it’s loud horn calls.
What news from the North oh mighty wind do you bring to me today? What news of Boromir the tall? For he is long away.
Beneath Amon Hen I heard his cry; there many foes he fought. His cloven shield, his broken sword they to the water brought. His head so proud, his face so fair, his limbs they laid to rest, and Rauros, golden Rauros Falls, bore him upon its breast.
Oh Boromir! The Tower of Guard shall ever northward gaze. To Rauros, golden Rauros Falls, until the end of days.”
7:02 "It's working!"
"I know it's working, run!"
"Run, Frodo. Go."
“Get to da choppa!!”
Legolas: "The Horn of Gondor!" Aragorn:"Boromir!"
legolas only thought of the horn
but aragorn
he thought of what the horn meant and he tried to get to him as fast as he could
I listen to this at least once every day.

Lad, you are not the only one.
7:22 - goosebumps...
I love the song of the ring when it calls aragorn
What a badass score loving each second of it !!! 😈😈😈⚔⚔⚔🏹🏹 Hands down to Howard Shore. 👍👏👏
Masterpiece !
Your right Lord of The Ring Score is a masterpiece. Both Fellowship of The Ring and Return of The King won best Score at The Oscars.
@@user-td1me4tv3u I love too „two towers“ music!
reminds me of Richard Wagner's operas, it also has such powerful music.
@@_TheOneRing_ Just to let you know Two Towers wasn't nominated at The Oscars for best score. It would of been cool if it was.
@@user-td1me4tv3u I know,I know everything about Lord of the Movies 🥰
HOW CAN I FORGET??
Lurtz!!!
Most of the time when we someone fall, we mostly never see their redemption. Because we never see it we judge those people for their failures. With boromir we see him fall but we see him redeem himself in the most honorable fashion imaginable, by giving himself to protect those who he failed.
4:55 onwards Heroics of Aragorn for me. 😈😈😈🔥🔥⚔⚔⚔🎶🎶
This moment is the most awesome moment of the trilogy imo. It's when Strider becomes Aragorn.
8:00 is my favorite part
when the uruks have the upper hand And they run to the sound of Horn of gondor!
8:05 my favorite
XXensational, it's always a great pleasure to check out what you're next post will be. Brilliant choice! Btw, besides editing the cues together, is there any other audio processing involved? I mean all your suites sounds somewhat different. Do you remaster them? Can you elaborate on this?
+S 187 I'm glad you like the music as much as I do. You're right, on some pieces there is a bit of processing involved. Depending on the particular recording this could reach from only fixing the dynamics to a slight change of the overall sound and stage by adding reverb, frequency changes etc. In terms of orchestral recordings I prefer what is often called a "wet" sound (broad stage, lot's of reverb) which I usually try to achieve with the remastering. So you see, this is very much influenced by my own personal taste and I'm not always fully pleased about the result myself. At least I'm trying to upload the music using the best possible audio quality.

From begin of The Seduction of the Ring to the end of the fight is my favorite part.
One of the best OST ever! My favorite track is "The End of All Things".
EPIC
Es lo más hermoso que he escuchado :3
