I am in Florence Or. at a friends and we are leaving in the morning. It was fun being here and seeing all the sights. The wind was crazy out on the jetty. It was beautiful driving up the coast. Have a safe adventure, sorry we missed meeting you.
Didn't know there was a South Jetty, Oregon.? Lots of south jettys along the the coastline though. Enjoy your trip north, through the California redwoods and into the great Oregon coastline.... a spectacular event.
She was surprised when she heard the audio from the Dash Camera as she doesn't think she ever uses harsh language but I can assure you, she has a vocabulary (usually reserved for me and/or rude drivers
Thanks for your comments and we love the lifestyle and feel it makes for a great retirement adventure. Good Luck and Safe Travels if you decide to join us out here on the road.
We could not believe it when we saw Pearl in the passenger seat of the RV! LOL Nice update. Glad you guys made it safely...well except for going through the tree. That was some nice driving Pearl, getting around that tight curve at the campground. Expect a phone call if we ever find ourselves in that situation.😃👍🙃
That did look very odd to me also, I dont see her up walking around much as it is always me enjoying the trip and her driving. I enjoyed it for a while, but I enjoy the passenger seat much more. I am guessing either one of you could have probably backed through that tree (with the mirrors pulled in) I kept telling Pearl not to worry about it, if we wouldn't fit they would have warned us (oops) I may not have heard the end of that advise yet.
That was such a fun video! Thanks for including us in it and for all of the kind words! We really enjoyed seeing you and camping with you for a few days in Florence. It was lots of fun at the Sea Lion Caves and the Heceta Lighthouse too! Pumpkin and Coconut sure had a blast as well. Thanks for everything! Love you guys!
Glad to hear you liked the Video, and to thank it would have never started if it wasn't for Aidan's Cat Video and his inspiration for me that I could shoot and edit a video that people would watch. Thanks Aidan and we love you all so much, hope to see you all next week before we head north.
Pearl it was a super sweet surprise to meet you in the Sea Lion Caves gift shop!! I'd know your beautiful hair anywhere!! You are the 1st RUclipsr that I subscribe too, that I've met. Funny I was so nervous I could hardly speak! ha!! :)
We enjoyed your video, we have just finished an RV trip of 3,000 miles our first on. The quality of your video is very good we appreciate that. Safe travels to you both.
Excellent update. We are in Erie, PA for a month. Love this area. Great fishing. We would like to get out west in a couple of years. Oregon is high on our list. Safe Travels!
Enjoy the Fishing and I am sure you will enjoy Oregon. Be sure to bring your pole as it seems to be a pretty good location for fishing around here as well
Hello!! We just were driving through the campground here at South Jetty (just got here today) and saw your rig! Welcome to Oregon. We were so excited to discover it was you! We're at D23, if you happen to be around we'd love to meet you.
Great job! Seeing Pearl drive on Hwy 101 was an inspiration! Maybe I will have to man up and consider that drive with our MH. Loved the split screen with Bob driving, and the windshield view together.
Don't worry about manning up and driving through the Redwoods, just let Sue do it for ya and sit back and enjoy the journey. I guarantee you if we put in a "Back Seat Driver" camera on me while Pearl was driving through there, it would have made a pretty interesting split screen video for everyone to enjoy (except me). That passenger seat gives you a totally different perspective on the traveling process that you have to see to believe. I think it might be like riding on the back of a big ol Harley, you really have to have a lot of confidence in the driver, which I do, but it is still can be a hair raising ride. I think we will be doing 101 a lot this summer & fall and i am guessing we will both be gray headed by winter (oh wait, we may be too late for that one). Hope you two are enjoying your adventures as much as we enjoy watching them on your channel.
Pat and I really enjoyed this one. You two are making us want to head up to the northwest next summer. It does look chilly this time of year which is just fine with us. April in Naples, Florida where it was already in the 90’s is not our favorite weather. We’ve been really lucky here in Northwest Ohio with temps in the 70’s. Enjoy your time with family and friends as really that’s what’s most important isn’t it! Safe travels!
If you make it to Arizona this fall/winter I bet you will make it on up to PNW come spring 2020. Although, I almost wish we were a few weeks slower as it is about 5 degrees cooler than we want. We both enjoy sitting outside reading and visiting but just a bit breezy and cool. Perfect weather is hard to come by, but the location more than makes up for it.It sounds like you two will have a nice enjoyable summer in Ohio just dont let any roots grow while your there. :-)
Next Exit regarding the roots growing . . . we will be very ready to head out. Already we can see that since “we have nothing to do” family is asking for us to help out with this and that. LOL. We’re happy to help but . . . We’re thinking Yuma here we come!
Hey guys! We are here as well, we just seen your coach as we were driving around today looking for a sewer hookup site to move to! 😁 Would love to meet up if y’all get/have time?
Glad you liked it. Thanks. I see on your youtube channel, you have the nice looking Allegra Bus, Toad, Kayak, Bikes, will we be seeing some travel video on "Where The Tail Leads"? We sure hope so
@@JustPassingThru Yes we are developing our channel and downsizing a 65 acre ranch...so close yet so far. Love your monthly worksheet you shared with me as 1RodeoMom. Thanks again~Debi~
Great video, Linda and I are here in Brookings Oregon and when we got into Oregon we filled up with diesel at Costco $2.99 a gallon and regular gas was also $2.99 a gallon. We are here on vacation and hunting for property to buy on are way to Pacific City, maybe we will see you guys. You guys drive safe.
we will be up there in about a week, hope to finally get to meet you and Linda. Oregon is on our short list for our next home along with Arizona and Nevada. Happy Hunting
Russin river sounds like Ponderosa. I am here for 3 weeks and bummed. It is also hilly and no sewer. There are a few sites for sewer but good luck getting one. 50A is $5/night but they say it's an "upgraded" site not really a charge for 50A. But all 50A sites are considered upgraded so how they get around the CA policy on no charge for 50A. Sites are not level where I am and super hard to level. $25 fee for honey wagon on M and Th only. The river site are nice and with all the snow melt the river is beautiful. Oh, and $5 to wash my car (not them tat's for me to do it) and $10 for the RV (again not them to wash it that's for me). :) Very industrious kids you have there! Kudos to ya!
I was planning on writing you and asking about Ponderosa, we had thought about staying there a couple of times but wasn't sure if it could accommodate a larger RV both with the sites and trees. I think you have put that thought to bed for us now. These kids in Oregon are great and there are lots more kids and grandkids doing amazing things that will most likely be in future videos. It makes you wonder "How The Hell Did That Ever Happen" I am definitely at the bottom of our family gene pool :-)
@@JustPassingThru I think you need to give yourself more credit! We can talk more about that in person! I am a little harsh on poor Ponderosa. The lower sites by the river are decent sized but def close together and pretty level but of course all full this time of year. Beautiful seeing all the snow run off from the mountains 60 miles away. So may be ok if you can deal with no sewer. I think I am going to do 1 week at a time where locations have limited sewer (like most of Cali, OR, and WA). I am finding my travel style likes FHU. I can do with not emptying tanks for 7 days with a little conservation and doing laundry out. Drop me a line whenever and be damn proud of them youngins'
Bob did you replace the airbags yourself or did you take it to a shop? How much does an airbag cost by the way? We will be in Eugene at the end of July if you are still there. Thanks
I did take it to a shop, back in Florida and they just played with it and replaced a couple of unneeded parts and charged us $10,000 without fixing much of anything other than the windshield. I decided to give it my best shot and found the leaks a month or so ago and did some research on www.irv2.com then ordered the air bags from www.truckandtrailer.parts/ and it was pretty simple and straight forward process. The air bags for our coach were $165 each, but they are more expensive from several other vendors I checked on. We will be leaving here in a bout a week headed up north a bit but will be back sometime in the next month or so to check out our kids new art gallery in Eugene.
We agree and it is only 5 minutes from Pearls sister so it works great for us and plan to return this fall. Food wasn't too bad either with the $5 coupon
Welcome to OR. Don't forget to stop at the cheese factory for free cheese and some ice cream. If you have time, Mount Hood is the best place to visit and should not miss Painted Hill, Sheep rock unit
Hi Andy, we always tow the car except for this leg where we had some steep downgrades going down hwy 88 and I wanted to save the brakes as much as possible to insure a safe drive. If the roads had any moisture on them I would need to turn the exhaust brake off and have to rely complete on the air brakes so we decided to drive them separately but once we got to the bottom of the mountain we hooked back up.
Love how you put maps in your videos so we know where you're at...nice vid! :-)

What music do you use for your videos. I love it, so relaxing.
👍👍👍
Is your liklin a diesel?
Nope, we tow a 2013 gasoline MKX Lincoln and it works pretty well for a toad.
Why don't you tow the car?
Hi Andy, we always tow the car except for this leg where we had some steep downgrades going down hwy 88 and I wanted to save the brakes as much as possible to insure a safe drive.
