Whoever told this man to adhere to a time limit should be subject to some church discipline 😂😂. This is the most coherent, relevatory, and Spirit empowered interpretive teaching I have heard.
You’re a great teacher. I thank God for you. Great stuff you put out. It’s so great how you intertwine history from other accurate sources to give us even greater insight to the times that we read about in the Holy word. I became a postmill and didn’t know it 10 years ago, but you, Gary Demar, Kenneth Gentry, RC Sproul, and finding out Kirk Cameron from Left Behind has now become postmill, all these resources, and your videos, have helped me understand more and more. Bless you!!!
I am enjoying your teaching, I grew up in the church being taught the dispensational scheme, God has slowly been revealing truth, thanks brother Gore,......David
Christ is conquering, Christ is reigning, Christ rules over all. may HE defend HIS people from all evil. thank you LORD JESUS for saving a wrench like me!
Saw the number of likes go up as I was watching and it makes me appreciate that someone else besides me is appreciating this four years later even at the same time as me.
Bruce, thank you so much for your teaching on this and many other topics! I can refer people with questions to your channel in great confidence that they will receive a biblically grounded and faithfully exegetical message without the extra baggage that comes along with systematized theologies. Love you, brother!
Thanks Bruce for posting your lessons. You have complied a lot of information that saves time so I can study other things. Previously I had to dig through multiple sources to find the facts I was looking for. I did buy your book and recommend to others to purchase it as well... God bless!
Brother Bruce, you have inspired me to write my own commentary on Revelation which I post for others to read. I utilize the your videos as well as the scholarship of Terry, Chilton, Gentry and DeMar as well as many others and try to keep each entry no longer than 20 pages. I have realized that most Christians today would never pick up a scholarly book that’s 700+ pages. So I am trying to write to fill that gap with deep insights but not too lengthy and hope God will reach others with that.
I had to pause and comment on this: "his only work is to save". And so, today, we again look to Caesar and sing hosanna to the state: save us! Such a great irony. History repeats itself. Nothing new under the sun.
Yes. Restore the book of Revelation to the bible. It's the revelation of Jesus Christ, which is His testimony and the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy Revelation 19:10. God is not the author of confusion and there is a valid theology in the book. Blessed is the one who reads. Even more blessed is the one who understands and can proclaim the Glory of our Great God and Saviour to others.
David Chilton's commentary is available online for free here: www.garynorth.com/freebooks/docs/pdf/days_of_vengeance.pdf Also, keep a lookout for a new commentary by Ken Gentry on the book of Revelation as well. Both are excellent.
hi Bruce i admire your work and your accurate understanding of Revelation. I have one query though, I cannot understand the view you hold to on the future where all mankind will convert to Christianity? For me this sets alarm bells off with regard to my lifelong faith and it is a stumbling block for me. The reason? it is not scriptural, this is where you suddenly depart from your adherence to scripture where you usually let scripture interoperate scripture. You say why not? the world converting to Christianity why not!........ In 2000 years "all" of mankind has never converted to Christianity, not even close. If we want to see the future we look at the past, there will always be wicked people that will never convert, there will always be people not called by God. In the first century Paul declared the preaching of the good news a success, yet only a small minority became christian. he verified this at Colosians 1:23 Paul said the good news was preached to all creation. Other scriptures say the same Coll1:6 , Rom 1:8 , 1Thess 1:8 , Rom 10 :18. 34. Only 0.01 Percent of the population in the first century became Christian, yet 34 percent of the world claim to be Christian today, how is that not a success? In the past a majority of people rejected God and Christ. People are the same today and in the future, a majority will always reject Christ. but that is not pessimistic, it is still optimistic because Christ will rescue ALL that are deserving and bring them to everlasting life. To adhere to this and teach it is the same as Jehovah's Witnesses teaching on the invisible presence of Christ since 1914 and living in the last days since 1914, or Seventh Day Adventists teaching on adhering the sabbath. Or the radical preterists who teach that Christ is not coming again because he already has. None of it is scriptural but they teach it and say why not! Secondly if Christ is thousands of years yet in the future we will all be dead from Global warming and pollution long before he comes. Go talk to the people on the islands of Tuvalu and ask them if global warming is real as their Islands are going under the waves, or the polar bears that will be extinct by 2050 because they can no longer hunt in the ice melt. Or the heat waves that are sweeping Europe making many cites uninhabitable within a few decades from now. Only a temporary set back you say? Then please provide the scriptural proof that all the world will convert to Christianity. Impossible if we are to maintain our free will, but totally possible if everyone is there who is called by God, and only all those deserving. This will always be a minority, and it will be a positive success on the part of Christ. Christ waiting until all mankind is converted to Christianity? Fairies live at the bottom of my Garden too.
Thanks for your thoughtful message. I'm not aware of ever having said that everyone would become a genuine Christian. I do believe, however, that the command of Christ in the great commission, that we should go into all the world, and make disciples of all the nations, teaching them to observe all that he commanded, with the promise that he is with us for all time, will be successfully executed in real history, and that a time will come with 'the knowledge of God will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.' Thanks again.
@@GoreBruce Thanks Bruce for your answer. This one teaching has been the only dilemma for me since leaving behind dispensational beliefs and i now know that what you are teaching is the real truth. I may have been influenced by Ken Gentry who does not believe global warming is happening or pollution will affect the coming of Christ thousands of years yet in the future. Ken sent me links to stuff showing that global warming is a fairy tale. Sadly, he has to believe this to support his doctrine. Talk about blind guides. But i see from your answer I may have misunderstood, as yes, I know the Knowledge of God will eventually cover as the water covers the sea after the wicked and "the couldn't care less about Christ" are removed forever. This would mean genuine meek Christians are left over in the earth. Could you clarify this in your public teaching as it is easy for us newbies to think you are saying the entire population of the Earth will become Christian before Christ returns.
I do enjoy your interptetation. But just one question. Then only those who faced the tribulation serve him & in our time there is no need for accounting. That suffering those evil doers inflicted in our tim,e the barbarity does not match that expressed in Jewish uprising dealt with byunder Vesspasian's command?
144k can NOT be jews as the 144k are from all tribes. The ten northern tribes in dispersion remained pagans and were dispersed among the nations. Only Judah and the remnant of the captavity were 1st century Jews, and 1st century Jews are not the progenitors of modern Jews. Therefore it is impossible to identify the young men (only) who are the 144k.
Neither young nor now. The 144th relate to the first century Jews. Modern Jews no longer know their tribes. Lord Jesus returned in the first century AD and Revelation was written for that time then when the Remnant of Jews was being saved from God's wrath against The Great Whore of Israel that was to be judged with the bitter water and then stoned to death for breaking the first covenant/marriage with God.
While the ten northern tribes (kingdom of Israel) were largely absorbed into other people groups (i.e., with Assyrians = Samaritans), some of the tribes left for other countries such as Egypt. Many others remained in Judea, but a large number rejoined the Jews (southern kingdom of Judah + Benjamin) as they returned-or at least those recorded in Ezra-Nehemiah-to Jerusalem. The genealogical records of the citizens of the various tribes were lost in the fires that destroyed the temple in AD 70, but it is reasonable to assume many families were aware of their tribal descent. However, this all misses the point. The book of Revelation, full of symbolism, uses a list of tribes that doesn’t match the lists of the 12 in the OT-and I believe there are 3 such lists, all differ from the others. I believe the symbolism of the 144000 serves primarily as a reference to the remnant of ethnic Jewish Christians in the sense of Romans 11-all Israel will be saved by through those “who have not bowed their knee to Baal.” God preserved a remnant of the elect that remained as branches in the olive tree just as Paul, a Jewish Christian, was. The faithful remnant of Jewish Christians was only a subset of the “great multitude” that could not be numbered comprising all believers of all ages, past, present, and future. I believe the 144000 alternatively could be interpreted as the faithful remnant of elect-regardless of ethnicity-that God miraculously protected in the great tribulation of 66-73 AD. But Bruce makes a good case for their ethnic Jewish identity in the specific number from the 12 tribes of Israel. Either interpretation can be defended, but the futurist interpretation that this refers to Jews today in the modern State of Israel is without merit, to be sure.
Because the 144000 are the God's Virgin Bride along with the multitude in white, they are called VIRGINS. Undefiled because, UNLIKE the Great Whore of ISRAEL, they remained faithful to God no matter what. VIRGINITY corresponds to the PARABLES of Jesus and OT prophecies, plus to the LAWS related to marriage. Israel, ethnic and not, as descendants of Abraham were tested with fire just like Abrahams Vision of fire between the halves of sacrificial animals indicated. The burning furnace/light is also telling. The stupidity of one half of the virgin corresponds with Paul's not every Jew is a real Jew (because there is no faith, moral stance or love for his heritage in the Seed of the woman, ie. The promise of redemption and the Redeemer) therefore the test will burn him like hell. An analysis of the thorns is as illuminating. Try to investigate the word a d you will see what they really mean and why they are that important. Similarly the 8th day and the city are great Biblical symbols of God's plan of salvation. This is enough to make me see how intricate and well thought over it was. I now my head before GOD who is the Ruling Lord. It never ceases to astonish me how patient and górę earing God is. Christians despise his Two Millenia rule just as Jews despised him, Lord Jesus. His is fully gracious and any judgment is well deserved. No wonder many Christians get ill. They do not discern the Body of the Living God.
G Harry Rhoads this is a widely accepted British Israel teaching, yet the Bible paints a different teaching. You see when the ten tribes have gone into captivity that often Israel is mentioned to be partaking in feasts at Jerusalem. Hezekiah names the tribes of Ephraim , Manasseh , Issachar, and Zebulon at his Passover in 2 chronicles 30v18. This is common after the ten tribes had been deported.(clearly only some were deported). Josiah at the greatest Passover ever refers to both those of Judah and Israel being there. Upon return from Babylonian captivity once the new temple was built. On the day that the temple was dedicated to God. Ezra states at the dedication how 12 he goats were offered for the twelve tribes as a sin offering. If they hadn’t offered the 12 offerings one for each tribe then they couldn’t worship at the temple. Ezra 6v 16&17. It’s also interesting how once the Assyrians have taken a lot of the ten tribes and a lot of Judah into captivity. In general from that time Ezekiel refers to Judah as Israel. Read Ezekiel 14 talking to Judah yet they are now called Israel, because as Ezekiel 37 says the two sticks are becoming one. Which happens upon there return from Babylon. Not in the United Kingdom which the British Israel society teaches.
@@chessman483 Thanks for pointing out the Brit/Israel teaching as I tend to forget about them. I'm still too much of an anti-Covenant/Dispensationalist to believe those who identify with the Jewish religion are Israel while the passage in Revalation clearly says they have the power of the testimony of Christ, making the 144k followers of an orthodox (non liberal) Christianity.
